If you have ATT call retentions and ask for the deal that is $450 off any phone. You will have to HUCA more than a few times before you find a rep that knows what you are talking about. The only catch is you will not be able to get that offer again on that phone number for 2 years and you will put that phone number into a 2 year contract with ATT. I got my 11Pro doing this after reading about it on here - forget who originally posted it. I had to call many times; I almost gave up - so be persistent. MY DS will need a new phone soon. I plan to do the same when it is time.

I do have ATT and it was @LilSweetPeaPhoto that posted that info. I do have the phone number she sent me a long time ago. I really don't want to be locked into a contract though. I don't know why, lol, because I would switch in a heartbeat now if anyone else worked well so I am kind of stuck with them at this point. They did offer my a SE 256 GB for $15/month but it locks me in for 30 months and I really don't want that.

Tomorrow will be a complete Disney IT cluster. A complete free for all - without staging folks by date of travel - seems nuts.

Meanwhile I am trying to determine if I am completely screwed or not. I do not have tickets yet for September. I was thinking of buying annual passes - but you can't get those now either. I am torn because we are people who always hop. Buying an AP without hopping isn't ideal and I feel there should be a price reduction (lol at disney[/USER] reducing price).

I guess I just don't know what to do period. Wait and hope tickets and/or pass sales return before my trip? I am wrong in thinking all the spots will be taken for end of September and I won't be able to go regardless?

How does it make sense that I can buy a package for 2021 but I, as a DVC owner, can't buy tickets for trip in 3 months? Clearly I must be missing something here.
Tickets at work was still selling APs as of yesterday but I’m guessing you’d buy the dvc gold AP. I think Disney’s just really trying to get a handle on how many people are keeping their reservations before they sell anymore tickets this year. They did say they would resume tickets sales for 2020 in ‘late summer’. Question is, will there still be park reservations open?

I’m in a similar situation. I have flights and Swan booked at the end of September. Originally my plan was to buy tickets in July before our fastpass window opened. Well, now here we are. I’m about 90% positive I will be canceling. Our trip was going to be a 3 day whirlwind of park hopping. So unless things change pretty dramatically (for the better) in the next few months I don’t expect to go. 🙁

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Is it still 2020? I feel like I have no idea what day, date, month it is anymore!

Yup, for about 8 years now. I'd like to either fast forward this B movie script we are all part of to the end, or figure out how many more levels of Jumanji do we have before it's game over and we can go back to normal.

We (me and fellow agents) had 3 webinars with our Disney rep over the last 2 days to go over all the new procedures and she said 7 AM EST. Bets on how quickly the system will crash? 🙄

In about, 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... :wave2:

DP on the AmEx Plat airline credit - paid for mileage multiplier for my son for $133 and was reimbursed 5 days later. I know it’s a terrible mileage cost but I don’t foresee any other possible reimbursements in our future. I wish AmEx would loosen what they reimburse to something more useful for this year.

Is the airline credit calendar year or card year? Not planning any air travel until spring at the earliest so if I need to figure it out by the end of Dec I will but having til some time in Feb would be better since that's when I got the card. I know there are things I could do but I don't fly SW and if I'm going to pay for a flight I want the miles in program I use. Been looking for options with dl and as so will check those when it's closer to expiring.

AMEX airline credit is calendar year. Resets every January.

It's a steam bath outside and I'm not in Florida.

Was trying to 'clean up' a little after son in law got rained out while working yesterday. The skies opened up on him and it was all they could do to get the power tools gathered up as the rain gushed out of the sky plus cracks of thunder and flashes of lightning.

Since he probably won't be back before the weekend, I'll have to mow my grass - it's a constant thing here right now, and I don't want to mow rocks, small chunks of concrete, etc and I also can't leave the grass to grow around it.

Anyway, while I was bending and gathering my mind was on SUB's.
After I get my next Hyatt night I'm thinking of churning for the 50K offer. I have the $75 card which I've been offered upgrades on but I wouldn't do it for such a small amount of points. They won't let you have both from my reading on the website. That was my intention and the idea got snuffed out.

My annual fee posts Oct 1 but I think my night drops into my account in September.

So this is where it gets tricky. Cancel card in October and reapply in December.
6 months for 50K. But, my FNC anniversary should be Dec 2021, correct? Or, will it be after the first 3k is done? Never mind, the heat got to me. It will be on my card anniversary. The first 25k points will come after the first 3k. And then the 2nd 25K, once I get that done.

And thanks all for helping me muddle through this.

And just to make a few people squirm along with me, I had a ribbon snake right by my foot. He/she was a little thing maybe a foot long. Just a few days ago, I was sitting on my patio and a lizard popped out from between the rocks in the wall. In Maryland this blue green lizard is called a skink.

Neither of these bother me overly but I'm not about to catch them, hold them and I would prefer they live elsewhere.

Yeah, what a mess. Wish I would have made my Oct. 2020 reservations without a discount.
The hope is that as the death rates continue to fall they will open up all of the resorts and go back to full capacity.

Lol @calypso726.

My highlights so far for 2020 are finding two jars of yeast at Walmart one day in April and finally getting a Bundt cake out of the pan in one piece (yesterday).

Just got off the phone with SW. When I called last week to ask them to refund our ebci for Seattle I didn’t mentioned dd’s companion ticket so I had to call back and ask them to refund that as well.

Happy Father’s Day to all our disboards dads.

I really shouldn't complain about 2020 at all.

I went to Disney in January and February.
I went to Hilton Head in March.
I'm going to the beach in July.
I'm probably maybe going to Disney in November.

Not as exciting as trips around the world but works for me.
I really do feel bad for all that lost awesome trips to Australia, Europe, Africa and Asia and hope that they are soon rescheduled and completed and are the best they can be.

And of course missed Disney trips - this is a bit different because somehow I feel Disney just won't ever be the same. Maybe eventually it will be better. Glass half full.

My disappointment with Chase travel continues. Spent over an hour on the phone with them 3 weeks ago to change my DD's ticket from a July flight to a Dec flight. I had to call back several times to get the confirmation for the new flight sent, and when I got it the price was wrong, only had the original price listed, not the extra $200 I had to pay. That extra charge was pending on the card, then just fell off. Apparently the new ticket was never completed, even though we got a United confirmation and could see it on the website. So, back on the phone today, got a rep who sounded like he knew what he was doing, and he tried to do it over so we'll see if it takes this time. At least the price of the flight was $20 cheaper.

Still waiting on the refund of 49,000 URs from a cancelled international May flight. DH needs to rebook a cancelled United flight, originally booked with URs so we're assuming he has to go through them to book something else. Yay

I’m a little confused by the temporary Chase Saphire Reserve benefits. I went to use the pay yourself back feature for Home Depot, but it also listed a few grocery store purchases I could use my points on. However, those purchases have already been erased by my travel credit. If I say to use points to cover those, will they just give me an extra credit, or will they erase the travel credit so that points can be used on those purchases? That would be ok with me since the travel credit for grocery/gas goes until December, and sadly, I don’t see too much travel in my future, other than the few Marriott/ ihg nights I’ll need to use sometime later in the year.
