I have to file a claim with the DOT against West Jet. They cancelled my flight back to Toronto on May 21st. They are only offering a 'travel bank' credit, but I want the cash back. They are saying that they don't have to refund the cash per Cdn Transportation Agency guidelines, but since the flight is one way and originates in the US I beleive the DOT rules apply (the CSR I spoke with said they didn't).

It even took a few days for someone to post about the lame AMEX offer for groceries. A whopping $10 back on grocery purchase of $200. I'll take the 5x points on CF. I felt the same way about the lame cell phone offer of $5.

Not sure if this is considered a “splurge” or not since it’s for DS’s 21st birthday coming up next week, but I ordered a bunch of tamales from Tucson Tamale Company for a big birthday meal. They come frozen by fedex and you just steam them and they’re ready to go. These are a family favorite. Can’t wait!

This plus my recent Kroger order will finish off my CIP MSR. Not as hard as I thought I guess. I’m thinking we may get one personal card over the summer and wait and see what happens before getting another biz card. I’ve got quite a few vgc’s to use over the next month, a small credit on a United card from a flight tax refund, and also the 5% offer on groceries on my BCP (11% total for one order anyway, yay!). Not sure what card to get though. Maybe a Chase personal card for P2. He’s 3/24 until August and I’m 4/24 until October. His only Chase personal card is the IHG. Since like most of us (I’d wager), I’d prefer UR’s right now, I’m thinking about getting him either CSP or Freedom.

@Haley R , I’m thinking of you and praying all goes well for you! At this point in my three pregnancies, I remember just being so uncomfortable and unable to get any decent rest. My Hyatt Free nights are now showing Dec 31, 2021 expiration. They were much more generous than Marriott (Jan 31, 2021).

I'm still plugging along on my plat msr and waiting for stuff, like the peanut butter I ordered to ship. Half my target order, so 2 items, shipped, still waiting on the other 2.

I think it's just tough with nothing to report right now other than trips getting canceled. I would have been six weeks out from Japan today... ugh. I am keeping an eye on the flights and waiting until I find the round trip dates I want to book something for this time next year. While I had been planning to rebook JAL first or business from JFK again, AA added a new route that's nonstop from DFW. They had added this route specifically for the Olympics, but there are daily flights well into spring 2021. I'm finding numerous dates with lie-flat business class available for web specials of 45k AA miles. While it's not the fanciness of JAL, I'm honestly thinking about just booking that instead. All I really care about getting is lie-flat seats. If I'm going to have to pay to fly from RIC to JFK, and then 80k AA miles for JFK to HND, wouldn't it just make more sense to do RIC-DFW-HND for 45k miles? Those extra 35k miles are enough right now to get me one-way flights to Hawaii this Christmas.

I appreciate any advice honestly. I’ve never done this and it’s different for everyone so having a range of options to try is good in case one doesn’t work. I was hoping to mostly do the lay back breastfeeding position where he lays on top. At our birthing class they said that’s the easiest since he doesn’t have to fight gravity to feed. It may or may not work out for me

Realistically, you're going to use pretty much every position. Especially when they're newborns, you're nursing all the time (Our first nursed every 45 mins to an hour when he was a newborn), and you're going to get really bored with laying down all the time. And staying in one position too long gets uncomfortable. I loved the Boppy, but I think nursing pillows are particularly useful for long-torsoed women like me, because we have more distance between our lap and the food.

Oh! here's a bit of news about Barclay AA biz.... So AF posted on 3/28, we called to cancel it on 4/2..... just TODAY I looked (4/24) and the AF finally disappeared! glad about that b/c I didn't want to have DH call again....
I have no MSR b/c I'm not really spending except on grocery items at the moment.
Oh,I have a spending fail I can share...(sigh) since Discover is 5x on warehouse,I placed my online Sams order using it....and fully intended to stick the card in my wallet for our pickup day,since I was planning to grab some items I couldn't get online....aaaaannd I forgot (prob b/c of my supremely busy schedule) So I had a partially used visa gc,swiped that.... but the total was higher than the gc balance,and it failed so I (for some reason) had ONLY my freedom card in my wallet that day (I am SO out of practice) and I had no choice but to use that.
So it's good I got everything I needed while on my once per month shop day, it's annoying I cleaned my wallet out and forgot to put stuff back in....

That's what I'm afraid of. I have an old CIP link that should be working still, but I am not sure for how long. The new spend requirements would not be doable for us right now. Our organic spending is WAY down.

It's been 3 months since my last confession (CIP #x). If not, I don't know what to get next. I checked cardmatch for Amex 100k offer but nothing. The other recommended card is the chase hyaatt, but I don't know if I will ever stay in a hyatt. I only fly jetblue. I'm under 5/24. Any suggestions? Any negatives about trying for CIP #x? Would I be able to apply for Hyatt right after if I get CIP rejection? I'm not planning to travel anytime soon or use any points, just feel bad I'm charging credit card and it's not going towards anything :/

I'm having the same problem. We applied our 2018 refund to 2019 estimated taxes (our 2019 return hasn't been processed yet). First I populated the refund field with the amount we applied to 2019, but received a "your info doesn't match" error message. Next, I put a refund of 0. I get "we are having technical difficulties . . ."
