Coronavirus discounts on the horizon?

My friend and I are trying to plan a girls trip the last weekend in March. Snagged a room, but are waiting for flights. They really haven't dropped that much in price from our airport (BDL).

The Southwest flight prices have been fluctuating between $190 and $205 for July. I would just keep checking daily as I have notices day by day changes. Yesterday my flight BDL to MCO when down $10 per person so I rebooked.

Just booked a last minute super quick solo trip while my parents have the kids over spring break. Flights were super cheap with Delta and snagged a room at Pop with an AP discount so I can use the sky liner to and from flower and garden (and maybe DHS if I’m feeling up to the madness). I really just couldn’t say not to the prices 🙈

I am looking at going next weekend.... for 2 days.... the prices are so good

Are you talking about plane ticket prices or room prices? I’ve been looking at the AP rates and they don’t seem like good prices to me

mostly flight (under 200 round trip at ideal times for us) , AP room rates still stink, but Swan and Dolphin are really reasonable 161 I think I saw

My flights were so cheap that they took hardly any of my Skymiles and I only had to pay $11.20 for round trip, room was around $150 a night which is actually nice compared to the rack rate. I could have saved about $20-30 a night by staying at an All-Star, but since I'll be at Epcot for most of it I thought I'd spend a little more to get Skyliner access. I do miss the days of $80-90 rooms, but for what it is I'm fine with it since this is only 3 weeks out and very unplanned.

I just got $200/ticket knocked off my Southwest flight (Dallas to MCO) by re-booking. Not sure why I've never done that before, but it feels awesome!

Great deal.
Though if you have no plans to travel again within the credit's use time then it can be better to not check and not know you would have saved money. The credits are only good as long as you can reuse them.

Ok talk me down! They just closed my daughters school for Monday only, and we can fly for 130 and go for the weekend....
Go! If we hadn't just gotten home this past weekend and didn't have another trip in April and another in May (to DL) then I'd be booking again.
Go for Flower and Garden alone. It's so pretty this year. Well, it always is but didn't disappoint.

this is how I feel!! I got to get my husband on board! Mostly because we were just there 3 weeks ago and Miami last week haha

They refunded me in cash; this was a case of the low-end fare being available now, but it was sold-out when I first booked my ticket. So, I converted down from a fully-refundable fare to a non-refundable fare.

I won't lie, I've been looking at availability.
But, I know I can't go this weekend, DD and DGD are moving back and DGD is coming in early to get in to school at the quarter change. She flies in this weekend but DD won't be back for a couple more weeks. Than we have DGDs birthday party (she's 12 tomorrow but having a party here the following weekend). That takes us to April. And we are already going mid April.
So all that to say, guess I'm going to miss out on these cheap airfares and count myself lucky I got discounts on what we do have booked.
Plus my pesky bosses actually like it when I am at work, LOL The demands they make, wanting me to work in order to get paid ;)

Rebooked my Disney Trip for later this month with AP discount and saved a bunch. When I had booked it last month there was no option for AP Discount, but it popped up today. Staying at POP.

Ah, well, that's even better. Truthfully, I forgot they had fully refundable fares. If I can't book the cheapy ones, I don't fly SW, LOL

How do you get the airline to change prices? We bought tickets (United) about a week ago and now the prices are down about $125-$150 per ticket. Did they give you a price adjustment? A credit? Thanks.

I’ve tried looking at weekends in March since that’s the only time we could potentially go and I’m not seeing anything great as far as AP rates. We don’t really need to go stay again though lol

I typically scout out fares way too long before pulling the trigger. We're on our second year in a row heading to Orlando late June for the National JVMA volleyball tournament (who knows if that'll get canceled this year?) and I jumped at what i thought was a steal on United Airline tickets from Chicago (ORD) to MCO at $287 per person round trip non-refundable. I'm afraid to look at what they are now or what they are going to drop too. 😡

I've held off on booking any place to stay so far in hopes that some good deals come but not sure which way the wind will blow on this one.
