READ POST 1 & 2 FIRST-Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group Planning and Information-*No Spoilers*

Need a bit more help cause I am still confused on something. I have read many posts here and many out side articles on boarding groups.

I know you use the MDE app on your phone and I know you must be physically through the turnstiles with your whole group having scanned in for admission.

I don't understand what it means when I keep seeing the words that a person must be "logged into the system" to join a boarding group. Is there something extra that has to be done? Do you need to be on their WiFi to be considered in the correct area? Trying to figure out if I am missing something.

Lastly after seeing the CHART on the opening posts of this thread it is both helpful and freaking terrifying! The last couple days recorded have run out of boarding groups after just 1 minute. Is there a secret to using the app super fast when they open boarding groups? I know if I am not there early for RD and boarding groups that is on me, but I am most concerned I will do all that and still not act fast enough for a boarding group. (I also go to HS after MMRR opens on 3/4 so who know what will change then anyways.) Advice is appreciated.
If you're going after March 4th I'd honestly just check back for more relevant info then. Who knows what things will look like then.
- Will the ride be operating more reliably?
- Will they be handing out more regular BGs?
- Will they abandon the distinction between regular and backup?
- Will they open the park at 7? at 8? at 9?
- How will they handle MMRR?

I honestly think the chart and the current DPs are really only applicable to people planning to attend between now and the end of February. And this week's info is probably only important to people attending on President's Day week. For people attending any other time I'd pay more attention to the week prior and next week and beyond then.

March is a long way away in terms of this ride and how DHS will continue to handle it's procedures.

So here goes a theory, eventually Disney is going to have to start trying to cycle more ride vehicles through the attraction. I wonder if some of the most recent down times have been due to this?

Got to HS this morning at 615. Absolutely freezing. In the gates by 645 and the option for boarding pass opened at 7on the dot and within seconds I had group 30. Still waiting, they’ve been broken down and on group 29 forever! I have a very excited 10 year old on my hands. And my toes are frozen solid.

Here's my newbie question: I've seen in this thread that people have encountered the problem that not all of their party is showing up as tapped into the park in MDE. Where do I make sure that we (myself, my DH and children) are all tapped into the park BEFORE the park open time so that this doesn't happen to me? Is their a screen showing who has tapped in to a certain park, location? Thank you to everyone here. We are loving this thread! All the info, good vibes & excitement is amazing!

So I thought I'd share my experience from yesterday.

Alarm goes off at 5AM and we left All Star Moves by 5:30AM and parked in the third row at 5:45AM.

Already several thousand people ahead of us.

They opened the gates to start scanning at 6:15 and we were in the park by 6:25.

I was shocked at the amount of people who kept trying to cut in front of people in line. That was weird for sure.

WiFi off. We were told this by a couple of cast members also.

We actually were two couples so all four of us were trying but we were not linked on MDE app. The first couple actually got to the park at 4AM so they got into the park before we did.

7AM everyone alarms start going off, everyone is scrambling to get in.

Couple one got in, Boarding Group 36.

Couple two, thirty seconds later, Boarding Group 77.

I think shortly after that the groups were full and they were on backup.

We immediately went to Guest Relations to get couple one moved with us to Boarding Group 77. Instead they moved us to Boarding Group 36.

Ride didn't start boarding until after 12Noon.

We walked in to line at 4PM and were done with the ride by 5PM.

Like everyone has said, it is like you are in a Star Wars movie. It was pretty mind blowing.

One last thing, it really amazed me how many people who were rolling into the park at just after 7AM.

Great! That actually contradicts what I've read in other places. I heard somewhere that they are currently cycling at a 50% capacity rate.
I had heard roughly 1100/1700 for quite a while.
Len Testa has counted 1200-1400 exiting the ride per hour, often enough.
It seems it’s been capable of running up to 80% of its capacity.

Disneyland’s seems to be running about 700/1700 for now.

Yes it will show on the screen after you have chosen the members of your party. It will tell you they aren’t in the park. I think the recommendation of that happens is to remove the ones that it isn’t registering as in the park and go forward with getting a BG for the ones it does show in the park. Then you will go to a guest experience team member with all of your party showing they are in the park. The GET member can add them to your BG.

Editing to day I don’t know how to check before hand if they are in the park.

31...I hope it's really moving for y'all now!
Yay! And now up to 32!

I assume the “slow crawl” right now is due to lots of people form BGs 10-29 returning to ride. Hopefully once that initial crush is past they’ll pickup the pace.

Realized I did not post my boarding group experiences. My trip was during Marathon Weekend

Sat 1.11.2020: Left AirBNB at 6AM, arrived at Park 6:35AM, tapped into the park 6:40AM (right-most line). 2 phones, tried refreshing status, grabbed boarding group 82 for 4 via data plan

Sun 1.12.2020: Marathon Day, left Contemporary at 6:15, boarded bus at 6:32, arrived at park 6:52, in park at 6:58, restarted app at 7, grabbed boarding group 10 for 1 via Wi-Fi. Helped another family of 3 grab boarding group 64 a few moments later
