State of the DISchurners Update
We have a lot of major stuff circulating right now so I wanted to do a quick, one comment update on things you might have missed:

1) Support Link Thread Refresh

• Check out THIS COMMENT for more details
• I will remove the old threads on Sunday and make one final mention of this

2) CSR Annual Fee is Increasing by $100 and some new benefits coming

• This post from Doctor of Credit has a pretty good write-up on it.
• It's been discussed pretty much everywhere, and for most people it doesn't seem to be a good thing!

3) ELEVATED Southwest Offers on the Personal Card & General Thoughts/Guide on the SW Companion Pass

• The new offers which were First Announced Here on our thread (yup I beat the blogs to this one) are for 75,000 total SW RR points for $5k spend.
• These are available through SUPPORT LINKS on DISchurners until 2/18/20 so you don't need to rush if your pacing isn't quite right for another Chase card yet.
• The Fireside Chat on the Southwest Companion Pass remains a great resource on all things Southwest Credit Cards.
• Make sure to also read the stickied first comment on the CP Fireside Chat as it includes some additional thoughts!

4) ELEVATED American Express Offers (Delta, Biz Gold, BBP)

• Discussed in detail HERE, Delta and BBP elevated offers through DISchurners support links expire on 1/29/20.
• Elevated Biz gold offer through DISchurners support link expires on 2/5/20.
• Additionally, some AFs on the Delta cards will be changing around this time too.

5) Southwest Change Loophole is back (and apparently being blasted everywhere these days).

• First reported HERE, Window to change flights for 4/14 through 6/6 (and 14 days on either side if you play your cards right) will apparently close tomorrow night at Midnight.

So that's your general recap! This isn't something I'll be doing regularly, and all of this was reported on the DISchurners news thread, I just wanted to make sure that nobody missed all of this info that's circulating right now!

Yup...on #5 I predict this is the last cycle,(or 2nd to last) to do this....

Sigh.... so in helping a friend for CIP, she accidentally put her ss # incorrecly on app. Got a letter asking for her to mail some id info (!!!) to them to verify- she tried calling, rep said had to be mailed.App was 3 weeks ago....better to let it ride,and try fresh again on day 31? I'm leery of sending info like that unsecured in the mail!

The tickets are linked to my account, but it says that I should go to the park entrance to show my ID and get my tickets (I guess they mean the cards). Will they still be linked to my MBs even though the MBs dont show up anywhere on MDE?

Hmmm, I have never had that happen before.
I guess that is what they mean, they assume you don’t have MB and need a card for entry. Perhaps your MB were linked through another persons MDE account? You may need to go to Guest Services for them to link them.

@disfanforlife they have lowes gift cards and happy lady (BB&B) gift cards. Idk if anyone has been successful using thoss to then buy disney GC at those stores though!

Thank you, I saw them. I tried Lowe’s in the past and it was a no go. And my BB&B doesn’t carry any DGC. Still I’m happy to have gotten the other GC I got at a discount.

Is anyone else having issues adding their CP to SW flights? I am trying add DS and I checked and these flights are not sold out but I keep getting an error. Grrr....do I really need to call?

Are you trying to do it through the mobile app? It only ever works for me on desktop.

I'm waiting for my new SW card and I noticed that my first statement will close on March 14th. I was hoping to get the bonus points posted sooner than that (trying for the CP). If I spend $1k in a week or so and pay it off right away, will the points post sooner or will nothing happen until March 14th anyway?

Are you sure that isn't when the payment is due? Your stmt should close 30 days after your approval (I think). Usually the stmt end date show NA for me on new acts, but the due date shows.

When I have seen a date this far out on a new account...the statement actually closed the month before...so maybe for you 2/14

I was using my iPad as I did for the other 9. It’s really strange. Twitter added them but now I did to call SW to pay the $5.60 fee since it was 3 am when I was DM them.

Statement close is 3 days after payment date so the 17th of the month. So you need to meet MSR by 2/17. The points will not post any earlier than the day after statement close.

I know I'm late to this conversation from a couple of days back, but people were talking churning spreadsheets. I always like to mention the spreadsheet I use which came from a template posted by garretg on reddit. Spreadsheets tend to intimidate people and this one is really easy to use. And it tracks (and calculates) a lot of useful information.

I teach college Excel courses and develop prep materials for Excel certification exams, but I even I just use this one instead spending time to make something better.

I cried my way through The Art of Racing in the Rain like I knew I would having read the book. It actually lived up to the book though and I'm sure that's because Patrick Dempsey was behind the project. Now I'm watching UHF, yes with Weird Al, because as last year was the year of classics, this year is 80's movies. I'm actually kind of bummed that I haven't had this movie in my life for the past 30 years. It's not laugh out loud funny but it's quite fun and amusing. Also a good choice for after crying earlier tonight.

Yes. You are all correct and I am obviously confused. It's the first statement due date. So points should post after 2/17 whether I pay them or not? So, I make MSR say 2/2/20; points post after 2/17/20; I pay by 3/14/20? Is this correct?
