Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Well...after relentlessly stalking the website, I was able to get an AP discount at BC Club level for our Marathon Weekend trip!!!

By canceling the rental car and two dining reservations, the bottom line was about $100 more than our rack rate POR reservation! Easy choice to make!! Don’t you just love Disney math and logic!

LOL! DH and I did that same math for the same weekend...we were supposed to be doing a quick on-the-cheap trip and staying at CSR. But the BC CL WV room was too good a deal to pass up, at least if you’re doing Disney math. We’ll likely see you in the lounge, I’m sure. I’ll be the hyper 50-going-on-10 yo with the ponytail in a stitch or villains shirt, taking photos of all the food for this thread and followed by a very patient and long-suffering DH who will likely be hoarding the CL ice cream and oatmeal cookies. (Unless it’s early morning, in which case he’s the hyper one and I’m the zombie clutching the largest coffee possible.)

Hi everybody, we are currently here at the Beach Club for the first time (3rd day of 14) from the UK And we are absolutely loving the resort!! I had heard some horror stories regarding the rooms so had been worrying quite a bit before arrival but our room is beautiful with no issues whatsoever...we are in room 2567 (garden view) overlooking the volleyball court which is where we requested, I’ll try to add pics if I can. The main issue we have had this year is of lazy people leaving rubbish everywhere around the resort, empty bottles just thrown on the floor around the hotel and 3 times now I’ve seen families leave trays of leftover food on the sunbeds on the beach and around the pools...drives me mad😡😡😡

I love this view! Did you request volleyball court view to get this room or did you request something else/more? I have a request into my travel agent for a garden view room this summer at either BC or YC, but I think we’ll be going with the BC because online the price is cheaper.

Enjoy your trip!

Does anyone who is there now or recently know if they have the skyliner or Star Wars refillable mug in either of the quick service locations? I’d like one of each hopefully. I would be willing to check other resorts though

Me too!

I have been looking into buy DVC timeshare in Beach Club but I notice that the rooms in the villas has very little to no drawer space to put your clothes away. The resort has a great deal of space. Is that just in only the studio or all of the villas?

I haven't stayed in a 1-bedroom or larger at BCV in several years. I stayed in a studio in August and made notes about storage space for clothing:

1) Most of the space under the TV is now used for the pull-down bed, so there is very limited drawer space in this room.
There are 4 drawers on the sides of the tv (2 on either side).
They are a strange shape.
19 ½ x 8 and 9 ¼ inches high.
They are rough inside, like the edges need to be sanded.
I would not put clothing in there unless I first put it in a zip loc bag to prevent snagging.
You would have to roll your clothing and have it stand up vertically to fit in there.

2) Night table
There is 1 night table.
It has 2 drawers
13 ½ x 14 ½ x 5 high.

3) Coffee table
It has 2 curved drawers
20 x 11 x 6 high.

4) There are 3 hooks by the door.
There is a shelf under the hooks but it is only 3 ½ deep.

5) I did not make notes about the closet, but there's a lot of stuff in there: fire extinguisher, vacuum cleaner, ironing board, extra pillow and blanket in a bag on the floor, broom, mop, iron...

6) It's a platform bed, so you can't shove suitcases underneath it.

Maybe somebody who has stayed in a one-bedroom or two-bedroom recently can tell you about storage space in those rooms.

[QUOTE="natebenma, post: 61399340,

Thank you so much for the review of your trip and details about your room. What was the coffee maker in the room? The Cuisinart pod machine or a Keurig [/QUOTE]

natebenma: they were Keurig in our room.

Hello everybody :wave2:

We will be coming the Beach Club CL in July, from the 17th to the 24th!!!

Can't wait to come back home

Could you please add us to the Be Our Guest List ?

Thanks a lot
:earsgirl:

:welcome: to the thread!

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

:cool1:

We haven't seen any recent pictures of the food offerings at club level here on this thread. There may be some on the Club Level subforum- I don't regularly monitor that thread.

I am assuming that the selections change nightly, but see comment above...

🐴 (picture a donkey)

Thanks so much! I'll check out that thread. We will be there February 2-9 :)

Annual Pass discounts just opened up for a 4th of July trip. We had a great time when we were there a few years ago and are very excited to return again. :)

Dee, would you please add us to the Be our Guest list for

BC - July 1 to 5, 2020

So we are switching over to BWV, I am not moving very willingly but we are saving a good amount of money over BCV. I’m still going to try and get a Studio at BCV but for now I have to say goodbye.😭. I’m sure I’ll be back in the future.

Dee,

Can we please be added to the Be Our Guest list? I booked today using the new discount that was released. We are staying at the YC in a water view room from August 3rd-9th. We will then head over to the Poly from August 9th-14th.

A few quick questions-
1. Do all rooms have a daybed or should I put in a request for one?
2. Is a water view room a view of Crescent Lake/SAB or can it also be a view of the quiet pool?
3. We’d like to be closer to the BC vs. the Swan/Dolphin. Would a request for “near lobby” get us closest to BC?

Thank you!

Will do!

1. Not all rooms have a daybed. Not sure how many/what percentage, so yes, you should request one if that is something you want
2 & 3. Not positive, but I think a view of the pool is considered "woods view". Plus, if you are requesting "Close to Lobby (close to BC) and that is granted, you won't be near the end of the resort with the quiet pool anyway.

:goodvibes

:dance3:Just booked BC GV for the first 3 days of our next stay!!! It will be sooo nice to be home!

Dee-would you please add us to the BOG list? We're staying 8/30-9/2/20 before we move to the Dolphin for our first stay there.

Well, my husband and I decided to change resorts for our December trip. We were able to book Copper Creek and we’ve always wanted to see WL at Christmas. Maybe next year we’ll finally try out BC with the kids! Hope everyone has great trips this year!

Hi, we requested (via touring plans) 1. Courtyard view 2.full balcony 3 upper floor....we are on the first floor so 2 out of 3 ain’t too bad 😀
The room is lovely, heard some horror stories lately re the rooms but it is prefect! 👍🏻

Ok we are back, lol. I was able to get the BCV studio with an AP discount this morning :stitch:. It’s still more but not enough to make the switch and not enough for my husband listen to me complain for the next 6 months. We just love SAB and going to the pool is a huge part of our vacation, that clown pool just doesn’t do it for me:jester:.

:welcome: back!!!

I caught up on a lot of the BOG updates yesterday, but didn't get to yours. Procrastination pays off this time.

Yay, me!
