Found myself on the transportation board because I have question about DME. I can’t decide where to post so can I ask you guys? OT I know 😝...

I’m going to WDW in Mar. Person I’m going with might get in a day later and leave a day earlier- can they use DME or is it only valid on check-in/check-out day?
I know you got some replies, but I have done this numerous times and it is very easy. You can add all the arrival and departure info at one time, or keep updating it. Best thing is you can do it ahead of arrival and not speak to anyone at all!

When you fill out the online form, just add multiple flight groups on the second page and you will be all set!

I’d be so pissed to pay for my own CEUs ect. since for my area of medicine thats min $2k a year between certification maintenance fees ans conferences. How do they justify that? I can’t see patients without maintaining my certification/license so to me thats on my employer to pay for. I’m useless to them without it! I think thats really lame and I wish you were better appreciated @CyndiLouWho !

MI. UP gets a ridiculous amount of snow. No thanks is right.
I'm from snow country, so I like snow. Just not driving in it long distance. Adds too much uncertainty and stress Which is really a bummer because I love my friend and the resort looks awesome. Hopefully we'll meet somewhere halfway, which will still be 6-7 driving for each of us.

I don't understand what is happening. :scared: My DH doesn't want to apply for another card. He says he's tires of keeping track of everything and we need to take a break. I said, you've just a had a 3 month break from your last Chase card...you're 4/24. You desperately need another business card. He said NO!. He's done for now. He says I can ask him again in March. :eeyore:

New Years resolution, update resume and start looking in earnest. Problem is my job situation is terrible but there are some major pluses. I work only 5 hours per day allowing me to pick DS up from school every day, next year will be able to pick up and drop off. I’m “tenured” into the parking garage (some hospitals in Chicago charge employees for parking or make them park offsite. I’m no longer off site). Plus I only cover the ICU which is somewhat rare as a part timer. I love most of my ICU coworkers, including an awesome pharmacist I would truly miss.
I also am allowed to totally do as I see fit for the patients and the ICU docs all trust me, and I try to impart a little wisdom onto the residents.

I see 3 options...

1) take it over. Do his apps, manage his accounts, give him 1 cc at a time to charge to

2) I potentially see solo trips in your near future. As a solo traveler myself they have their downsides but load a book onto your smartphone for meals and go about your business of having fun! Even doing something like a Disney park when you can litteraly say “what do I want right now?” is pretty great...

3) If that has no appeal or if that will absolutely not fly with your P2 devise your own solo plan concentrating on what’s most important to you- maybe MRs with a goal of adding to your retirement account? It will be a slower road alone but I truly believe he/she who hesitates in this game misses valuable opportunities.

Guys, I’m SO excited.... availability for one of my favorite rooms opened for my Mar trip to WDW! I’ve been watching for CSR Gran Destino Club Level Standard View on discount for a couple months- and I got it today!!!! (Standard View > Water View because you can see EP and/or DHS)

Just hugged my DS18 goodbye. :sad:He’s driving back to Nashville tonight. New semester starts tomorrow. It’s been a fun break. DS20 goes back tomorrow, but he’ll be closer to me so it’s a little easier when he goes back.

DD left today. We are just sad over here and miss her already. :sad2: We do fine after a while, but once she is home it just feels right and then it's tough when she needs to leave again. The 5,000 mile distance doesn't make things any easier. I'll be a nervous wreck tracking her flights on the almost 24 hour journey. Hugs to all the parents here who are going through this.

I'm going to assume he's just tired. We have a trip planned next week (he's going for work and I'm tagging along on miles). I will ask him again next week on the beach and offer to apply for a CIP for him. Let's see what happens.

some ppl are still old school i guess... recently found out a churning friend still pays her bill via phone call. She complains its annoying having to make a card payment 5x times a month for the 5x cards she has...

Off topic rant-
I’m so angry. My husband and I had our first chance at a date since our 5 month old was born and two selfish pieces of poop brought their baby to star wars. That poor kid cried and screamed the whole time. They’d be asked ro leave and come right back. I hate people.

We've had this happening so much lately. It happened to us at Toy Story 4. Kids right next to us just talked the entire time and baby ahead cried the whole time. Parents did nothing. I even shushed the kids next to us and parents still ignored. I complained to the movie place and they basically just said that happens at 'all the kid's movies' Um, doesn't make it right...

Well, then dh & I went on a date to see the new Star Wars and it was a total repeat. Parents, I guess couldn't get seats together (???), so they booked two in the row in front of us and two next to us and that is where they sat their small children, who were clearly not ready for such a long with movie with involved plot. The little boy (guessing 5yo) must have gotten up 50 times to cross over people and go ask his parents if it was almost over.

People really do suck sometimes. We love going to the movies and our family has typically gone to see new movies on opening weekend but I'm wondering if we need to start letting the movie play for a bit before we go.
See if you have an Alamo Drafthouse near you. They don't allow babies, toddlers, latecomers, or cell phones at all... :lovestruc

Those sound like some pretty valuable benefits that don’t have much monetary value. It’s pretty amazing to have co- workers who respect you and are your friends. I have to say, for years I have told my labor and delivery patients that I had THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD!!! I have amazing co-workers and a wonderful schedule. The day their baby is born is one of the best days in their lives and I get to share it with them. Then tomorrow I get to share it with someone else.
I might have been wrong🙃. After going on the Dolphin Excursion trip I’m thinking they might actually have the best job in the world. Not changing occupations any time soon though.

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has done a trip for Spring Training baseball in Florida? We are planning to do a long weekend trip for this this spring, but I know nothing about it. The Cardinals are our team and they are based in Juipiter, FL. I'm going to start reading over on Tripadvisor or somewhere too, but wanted to ask here as well. You guys know everything!!

I value autonomy in my job a lot. I could make more money in a more corporate setting but then I'd have to answer to a lot of people, some of whom really don't know what they are doing but have the right connections. I like having to answer to only a few people, and only every now and then--mostly they leave me alone to do my job.

Have any of you take a ring somewhere to get the diamond tightened? My main diamond on my engagement ring is slightly loose. We don’t have a Jared near us. I went to Kay and they said it would take 10 business days to send it in and cost $53. Do I just have to bite the bullet and pay for it? I’m really nervous sending my ring in but I don’t want the diamond falling out either
