The deal I got last year was 1 slice for free, but I like your deal better! I'd forgotten this. Let me know what you find out. I know the slices were good until the end of March - hopefully that part stays the same.
Ooooohhh, cheesecake...🙃 Too bad they closed the one closest to us. Going downtown any more is a PITA .

I’ve only used the Amex gold dining credit for Grubhub but it works for CCF too, right?? Later this week, they should be having their annual BF sale where you buy a $25 gc and get 2 slices of cheesecake for free. Can I use the Amex gold to buy and have the $10 credit? Does anyone know if that deal is available in the store?
yes it works for CCF and SS and Ruth Chris AFAIK

I gave a couple of $25 cards with free slice as gifts last year and they went over big! Both people came back and told me how much they enjoyed their meal. I was also maximizing the extra 20% off dining on my Gold card which I signed up for in November of last year. Worked well at CF and Panera.
I would love that as a gift! Last year I did 2 offers and had 1 slice of joy go to waste 😞 3 free slices were still great tho!

Can someone remind me about how to reallocate CL for chase. I have 3 business cards with limits of about 6k each and one personal with about 15k. I'm hoping to try for a second SW card soon. Should I lower any limits beforehand?
I wouldnt lower if you get a lower CL id just move it where you are going to put more spend. Then as you make more payments chases algorithm will increase it slowly they want you to spend more :)

The Chase cruise department can get you the price you see on NCL. There are only 2 reasons to book with NCL first
1. You want to pay part of the cost with a non UR earning CC
2. You want to delay spending your UR points

Do you want to do either of these things?

If you do then you would book with NCL, call Chase to get a travel agent and their info (verify you can pay with UR at final payment, if that's what you're looking for), then request that NCL release the booking to Chase using their form which requires a TA name and phone number. It's simple, just not as simple as transferring over the phone. My reservation was transferred same day I submitted the form. You have 30 days from initial booking to transfer.

If you don't, just call up Chase and book through them. Tell them the cruise you're looking at and verify the price. Should be the same, if not tell them what you see and they should be able to find that.
so.... say I wanted to book a cruise ,using the TC from CSR first...would that apply if I just called in? like apply the TC for deposit, and then use UR after that? And I need to pay all the UR at time of booking? So if price drops I'm out of luck?

yeah, I dont think you can make payments with UR is that where you are asking?
or do you mean you use the travel credit pay off the UR points than the rest in payments? never tried that myself.
AFAIK you are locked in at the time of booking if you are using UR

I already figured I wouldn’t get the $25 back for the BJs Chase offer because I bought $140 in gc’s plus the earrings for $20 and the charges showed up separately. I checked my CIP account this morning to have a look (again) at the transaction from last Friday, and my statement period ended with the gift card charge having posted but the earrings did not. Thing is, the earrings charge isn’t under pending either like it was last time I checked. I received both items in the mail yesterday (fast!), so this seems weird to me. I imagine the earrings charge will show up again later. Guess I’ll keep checking.

Another thing about the BJs offers...if the offer only works when items are shipped together, how can you know that the offer will work on any order? Unless you order only one thing that is $150 or more, is it possible to know if you’ll get the offer or not? I don’t need many more gift cards right now, so I was hoping to use my offers on just normal household needs.
There really isn't any way to know if it will work online with multiple items totaling $150. The safest option is all in store or online with an item over $150. I think we all took a chance and crossed our fingers that it would work. Some even tried different denominations of DGCs.

I guess Chase is hoping businesses make larger purchases? Or it isn't sophisticated enough yet with it's offers? Maybe it will update some of it's offers like Amex where you can do it in multiple transactions like Best Buy $30 off $300.

As I understand it you would call NCL to put the deposit down with your CSR (you probably could do this online). Then call chase to switch the reservation over to them. It sounds like it depends on the person you talk to on the phone: some will let you wait to pay the balance with URs and some will make you do it up front. I think others have said to call back and try for a different person if you’re wanting to hold onto the URs longer

Do you think it’s too late to apply for BBP for P2 to park his MRs? I know we should have done it earlier this fall but I was hoping for a good transfer deal. Statement for the plat will close Dec 15. I can post stats on reddit. I don’t have an MR earning card to support from. I could use HHB or Bonvoy biz though right?

Guys, I might be about to make my first eBags purchase... do we think the prices will go down anymore on Black Friday, or are the current sale prices usually as good as it gets? Also, how fast is shipping? DH said he'd like new luggage before he takes a business trip leaving next Wednesday.
Idk on shipping but don’t forget to use a portal! TCB at 23% with coupon options is pretty great.

As long as you get the card open by then you’ll be fine. So I’d say no it’s not too late. You don’t need a statement to close or anything and you don’t transfer MRs between cards like Chase so merely opening the card should do the trick. . Unfortunately you won’t be able to generate a support link from HHB or Bonvoy Biz though.

Thanks! I was thinking I’d need the card activated and then transfer the MRs, but they’ll just appear there automatically then when the plat is closed...Or it just shows all MRs pooled together anyway? Thanks also for clarifying about the support.

All MRs are automatically pooled. When I click between my MR cards, the balance remains the same no matter which MR card I am looking at. I wouldn’t cut it too close but you should be fine and that elevated BBP offer is pretty nice right now.

I just looked at flights on the chase portal for a week next August for 2 adults and a child (pretending we’re buying the baby a seat). For business class on AA nonstop flights out of MCO it would be 770k points. That’s under a year from now so obviously that plays a part in it being pretty high but it’s still very high. If the baby didn’t have a seat it would be 2/3 of that. I’m just trying to get a general idea so I’m thinking that would be the worst case scenario and hoping we would get something better than that.

I know that you have already decided to do three seats in premium economy, so this is a bit moot, but I wanted to add a small caveat for any future international travel. If you decide to not get the baby a seat, the airline will charge you 10% of the full fare for that cabin + taxes and fees. So a lap baby in business class can end up being quite expensive (as well as a bit unsafe)!

I am still using all of them very occasionally, if there's a good offer to be had. Maybe I will hold off on reducing and try for another card with the limits being the same. Thank you.

The more cards you have with Chase, the more you will have to lower at some point. Chase only likes to give you about 50% of your income, with a max of about 70-80K if higher income. DH has 10 Chase cards, I have 6 Chase cards. If we want more cards, we have to lower limits on some of them. The cards I don't use as much I lower to $1-$2k. Even if I occasionally use them, that is plenty of limit. I know some people say that Chase automatically ups their limit, but we have had a Chase card or another for 20 years and have never had them do that. When they ask if I want to update my income I do not do that, so I think that is why. @punkin are you going for a new biz card or personal? I keep my biz cards lower because my biz income does not support them giving me huge limits like my personal does. Most of my biz card limits have been about $5k so I don't want to go too high with my total biz limits.

Is this just for international travel? We've always had lap babies and never been charged for them, but I've never flown international.
