I had to file with Alamo, but I also had to notify Chase what happened within 10 days of the incident to qualify for the credit card coverage from the CSR. Chase uses a 3rd party to handle claims, so then I had to open a claim online with that company within 100 days, and I have up to a year to submit documents for the claim.
So far, Alamo is claiming they haven't received a bill from the body shop yet for the repair (incident was June 1). I called in July for an update, and was told they give themselves a 90 day window to get paperwork from the body shop. I called in September and was told they would request a bill from the body shop. When I called last month, the rep said she would send out a 2nd request for the bill and if there wasn't one they would close out the claim. I called last week, and that rep said she would send out a 3rd request for the bill and if there wasn't one they would close out the claim. I told her that's what the last person told me. Oh no, ma'am, it's only after the 3rd request that they could close out the claim for no response.
