Don't know if anyone has the Amex 10% off your cable/satellite TV bill up to $10, but I used it for our Comcast internet (we don't have cable or satellite, we just use Hulu Live) and it credited.
What card did you have this on? We're the same. Just have Comcast internet.

That was exactly the kind of promo I was hoping for when I was mapping out my CP plans. I got so excited...but no promotion for DH or me :sad2: It really would have been nice for me. Oh, well. Thanks for sharing.

ETA: Now I'm reading backwards so apologize if that not what you're talking about, but they had a similar promo the first quarter last year and it said sign up bonuses were excluded, but many people here still got the bonus. No guarantee, but I would think it would still work this time. Which makes me think that getting a CP by credit card sign ups can't be on SW's radar or you wouldn't think they'd have a promo right when people are trying to go for a CP. They also had one July, August, and September, but it wasn't talked about too much.

Where do you look to see if you are targeted for this? I thought it appeared on the SW page last year, but I can't remember where I saw it. We both have at least one Chase SW card as well, but I don't see anything online. Can someone please give me stupidly easy directions where to check for these offers.

Silly question probably. But since I am new to having a CIP and haven’t redeemed any points through the portal yet. Aren’t they worth 1.25? So wouldn’t that be the same as earning the 25% bonus with the SW promotion?

@Oscar Madison So if I buy an unlocked iPhone 11, which uses the same sim as my Samsung Galaxy 8 (currently on ATT), I can just switch the sim without involving a call or visit to ATT?

Worst case, maybe you have TWO brand new mixers?

Years ago, my mom ordered a 15-piece set of All-Clad cookware from Williams Sonoma. Two sets arrived at her house. She called to let them know that she received an extra set in error. They had no record of it and said they weren't able to accept a return of the second set. Guess who got a free set of All-Clad? 😉

I found it in my RR account on the SW website by signing into my account...then on the top hit ...My Account....scrolled down and on the left side hit Promotions....it showed up there

I’m a little confused. Are you PCing to CF or CSR? I saw you saying you don’t want the AF, but are you just speculating on the CSR? It’s possible to double dip the CSR travel credit ($300 x2) and effectively not pay an AF.
Anyway, if you never transfer URs to airline or hotel partners and don’t use the UR portal, essentially you use URs for cashback and you don’t need a CSR or CSP.

Do you have a CIP? You do know you can transfer URs from Chase Biz cards to personal, and vice versa, right? CIP is like CSP as far as utilizing URs.
Thank you for helping me think through this. Your questions made me stop and think about what my goals are currently. Yes, I was trying to avoid the AF on the CSP at this time b/c I wasn't ready to use the UR for travel in the next few months. At that time, I want to use the CSR, rather than the CSP for greater value of the UR. The long term plan then would be to keep the CSR. I guess I was just trying to delay the AF. @SouthFayetteFan @palhockeymomof2 also mentioned the DD on the CSR travel credit so I've been convinced that's the way to go.

We do have a CIP and have transferred our UR to partners but only once. Rookies at best.

Thanks again for helping me out.

Yes, we do it repeatedly in our family. We have ATT. Most recently last summer when I dropped my phone and then had to use my daughter's hand me down. We've even used online templates to cut our own sim cards if the phone we switched to was of the smaller variety.
We never call or go to the store unless we needed a larger sim than what was in the previous phone. ATT charged us $5 for a new sim.

Yes, I was one of those who received the points bonus based solely on my signup bonuses. I remember it taking a long time to credit.

No, it is not the same. You can transfer UR to SW 1:1. The 1.25 multiplier only comes in if you book through the Chase travel portal. However SW points are worth approximately 1.5 cpp. So you are better off transferring to SW 1:1 and using your points directly on SW. Hope that makes sense.

Throw the replacement one on the counter and run away! Like reverse shoplifting!

Sorry, no real advice. I can see why that's a but of a mess though. I'm actually a bit amazed that Target was able to help you get your (unneeded) replacement. I despise their website so I guess I am shocked that anything IT related from them could be useful. Having said that, I'm not surprise that someone from there told you to do something in store that store personnel would have no idea how to handle.

Worst case, maybe you have TWO brand new mixers?
that's what I'm wondering..... altho I don't want to be dishonest and 'steal' anything, I'm going to try calling tomorrow when I have some time. I have two invoices,so their system must have it as sending two! when I look at my online account, it shows the first as returned. Argh. I'm also not driving back to the store a million times trying either.

PSA: The support bonus from the Biz Gold/BGR has increased to 25,000 MR (regularly 20,000 MR). Meanwhile, the SUB for the Biz Gold has increased from 50k MR/$5k MSR, to a tiered 50k MR/$5k MSR and another 25k MR after an additional $5k MSR in the same 3 months (so, 75k MR for $10k MSR in 3 months).

As always, the cap for support bonuses from each card is 55,000 MR per year. You may receive a 1099 on the value of your support bonuses earned valuing 1 MR at 1 cent. DO NOT self-support!

We received a mistaken extra shipment on an online order just a few days ago. DD and I ordered her basketball shoes from Dicks Sporting Goods online and we were sent two pair. I still haven’t taken the time to figure out what to do about it. I need to check if both boxes have receipts/invoices.

We've never done much traveling since we had kids, just long weekends on the east coast where we could drive. We are hoping to do a west coast trip this summer which would involve flying (3 kids -15, 13, 10). Thinking about how to make all of this happen and how to get the best deals. I think that opening a credit card with an airline would help us with the $2K+ in flights from the east coast to the west coast. Not to mention the rental car and hotels we will need. I read some of the first page of this thread and it says that you can loose a lot of points/$ if you don't open your credit card at the right time. How do you know when the best time to open it is? It seems like many people like SW on this thread - do they offer the most bonuses? I would love any help that people who take the most advantage of the offers are able to give me. The whole thread and figuring everything out seems very overwhelming right now. We only have a Discover and Chase CC right now.
depending on where on east coast I'd say jetblue is your best bet since it flies direct from Boston...so easy. Buuuut Southwest has the great companion pass, which is helpful for a family of 5.(no direct flights tho)

Just to chime in, I need a new phone and ATT has absolutely no deals for existing customers and to add insult to injury, want to charge me $25 additional for an upgrade. I'm seriously considering switching. Tmobile is on my list to check out.

You need to call the loyalty line. I shared how to get $400 off a phone with a few on here. Message me ;)

For those that have done a timeshare offer, how bad was it with IHG? They just offered 4 nights for $199 with a full refund after the 2-hour presentation. Option of 5 different destinations. Thinking of Williamsburg and coupling it with a trip to DC. We have 18 months to book travel. Since DH and I would both have to be at the presentation, that would mean having 1-2 kids in tow as well. We have 0 intention of buying and I am very capable of saying no. Can you just leave after the 2 hours?

DON"T DO IT! IHG lies and puts you in a hotel! You don't stay on property. They fail to point that out. I did a chargeback on them w/ Chase. The hotel they wanted to put us in at Myrtle Beach was like 30 min from the beach!

Super bummed - DH did not get targted either, but I'm not sure that SW knows he has a card yet (first statement hasn't closed). Faint hope that once the first statement closes, the promo will magically appear in his account? 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
