Hi all,

Wanted to get a late night Dinner recommendation for my 1 night stay at GF. Currently schedule to arrive late evening (DD and her Bestie are going to go to school and we will take a late flight) and we currently have a 9:20p at Narcoossee's. Really want to stay close to the grand so the girls can explore the hotel. We are realizing that our dining reservations are a bit seafood and fish heavy.

Any other reservations we should make or keep our Narcoossee's?

Love Narcoossee’s! I’d definitely recommend it! Have fun!

Another option is to walk to Traders at Poly. Easy to do and fun as well if menu better for you.

Would love some feedback! I booked a bounceback for December when we there last July (just in case) and now I’m torn and can’t decide whether or not I should try to make it work. We haven’t been at Christmas time in almost ten years so my younger two don’t really remember it just my oldest and she is grown. I really want to do a Christmas trip with my younger girls (12 and 15) before they are grown too. Obviously now the fast passes are pretty picked over for the newer rides but I was thinking if we went I would pull my girls out a week before break to hopefully have it be less crazy. How crazy do you think it would be the week of December 15 and does sugar loaf do holiday themed treats when you are there that close to Christmas? Thanks so much for any feedback, I’m just so torn on whether or not to do a last minute trip or wait til next year.

Haven't been to that mall in ages. It's fabulous for high end designers. Got my LV there & mom got a pair of Loubs.
Is the Disney store still there? My guess probably not since they seem to be closing them.
Too funny that we're so close, just jump on 422W

Many happy memories with my own mom at LV when she was alive! Btw, they moved LV to the "new" section. Disney store is long gone. I think our only option is the outlets in Limerick.

We just love Citricos!

Unless you want a real sit-down dinner, we enjoyed the pizza from Gasperilla's. If you arrive before 11, you can eat from the dinner menu (or after 11 is the late night menu). With it being considered "quick service", you don't have to worry about missing a reservation if you're late. Same goes for if you're late arriving, they serve 24-7.

They also have a very full bakery case 😉

Anyone staying at the Disney Grand Floridian Resort on December 7, 2019, Sunday? I just read on blog mickey that President Trump has moved his

According to a report from My News 13, President Donald Trump will be in attendance for a Republican Party fundraiser that will be held at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort on December 7th.

The fundraiser was supposed to be held in November but has been pushed back to the December 7th date, according to the report. A cached page on the Florida GOP website shows the November event was scheduled to be held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

President Trump is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the event at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort hosted the event in 2017 where Vice President Mike Pence was the keynote speaker.

Disney has not made any announcements about the potential operational impacts due to the visit from President Trump.

I'm going to have to check my plans for that day to make sure not to use the monorail that day just in case the President's security might affect the timing of the monorail running if the President is near buy.

Do you think the President's presence will affect your plans that day?

Too soon to tell until we know what time event is. My guess a dinner.

I was at CSR a few weeks ago when the democrats had an event. Tons of people !

The convention center is kind of separate from the resort. So hopefully only a delay for arrival and departure .

Does anyone know if Cinderella still makes an entrance and does a parade with the kids in the lobby?? If so what time is it??

I’ll be at GF next weekend. I’ll ask. I didn’t see her at all Memorial weekend and have not seen mention of it lately. Probably due to construction on 2nd floor .(that’s where it would start)

Now that it’s finished maybe they start up again?

Hope so, it’s a cute thing to watch for all ages.

My parents were touring the monorail resorts today hoping to see some Christmas Decorations going up. They were told that the Gingerbread House will go up the 13th. Not sure if that means starting or what, I didn’t ask them what exactly they were told or by whom, so who knows.

I checked in today. The staff has been wonderful. Not going to sugarcoat this though—I hate my room location. I’m in Sago Cay, 1st floor, and my room entrance is in the elevator lobby. It just seems odd. We have 6 rooms across the large group any my two rooms seem to be sitting out in a lobby. First floor isn’t great. Yet I loved the first floor when I stayed in the Garden Wing at the CR. Oh well. In some ways the 1st floor and closeness to the main building are good for our two ECV users.

Do you face the marina or monorail?

The marina side you can hear HEA from your room.

I have a friend that loves the 1st floor at GF. I do at poly but wouldn’t want one at gf.

Sometimes ease for transportation will trump view so hopefully it works well for y’all.

Hope you have a great trip :)

I'm sorry you aren't happy with the room location, but I hope you are able to have a great stay overall :).

Has anyone done the Dream N' Design program at Narcoossee's? Looks like they were painting ceramic Halloween trees and now will have a program with ceramic Christmas trees for the holiday season (per Disneyfoodblog).

We had a marina view. First floor is fine but not first floor lobby. Geez that room should be made into a storage closet. We switched both rooms rooms today. Took all day. I won’t go into specifics now but suffice to say I was feeling like Disboards Pete. They have given us a $200 tab at Enchanted Rose. I didn’t want anything but I’ll take it. Was out of a room for over 7 hours. We are now 3rd floor Lagoon and monorail view. Very nice and seems much more quiet being in an actual hallway.

I hate transfer days. I try not to do unless I have too.

I’m weird I love the rooms in the atrium at SL, noise n all.

My dh probably prefer a quieter room too. Dd like me , the view more important because noise doesn’t bother us.

It was a pain for you to do but if rest of vacation is better than it’s worth It!

Let me know how ER is. Even if you only get a soda or something it may be fun to try.

My friends stay in those DQ's. I have seen both options. I tried calling for one just yesterday but none available.

I think you will love it!
I have a QD booked for next May. REALLY hoping for the angular shaped room. I have not seen the other type...but it looks like a regular rectangular shape on Touring Plans. Is it? My DD best friend is coming with us (a surprise for my daughter) and I really think that “different” room will work well for a non-family traveling group. Any thoughts?

Really either will work. 2 queens and a sofa in the same living space, it’s nice to have the beds for all but still in same room.

That said. It’s RPC!! Woohoo and the girls will love it.

I saw both and would like either myself. I prefer triangle with view of my poly but the other may have fireworks view so it’s a win win.

Does the regular have the extra counter and si I area? Was thinking that would be helpful for getting ready in the am. My poor husband against 3 women with 1 bathroom doesn’t stand a chance! Would rather have 2 rooms somewhere, but she requested RPC for college graduation. I booked in January just to get the room category and was just able to apply a pin we received...woo hoo!

From page 1 info. This has both versions plus deluxe kings if anyone needs.

Also I’ll get pix of deluxe king next week. I’ll try to get views and walk from 2nd floor to lounge etc. room looks the same as std except tub n wet bar.
