This deal today apparently goes through April 25th. I just realized that!
I wish I knew what Disney was going to do with Florida resident ticket specials. They have one now until Feb 28 which is very out of the ordinary - they usually come out in January or so until May or June. I’ve got 2 non-park For Wilderness trips coming up for New Years and Easter but I prefer to stay at a hotel if I’m doing our quick weekend park trips. Maybe I’ll book some tentative dates for early May and sometime in February.

This is what I found when I was looking a few months ago. There was only about a $2k difference in new and 2-3 years old Hondas. I would rather spend $2k more for a new car. It just didn’t make sense to go for a used. And I searched everywhere expanding my area to a 500 mile radius. Of course, I’m still driving my 10 year old van. Just couldn’t pull the trigger on any option. But we need a 4th car now. So likely need to start looking again.
The small difference in price is what drove us to get a new one for youngest DD awhile back. But then, I saw the same pricing when we were buying son's car and got aggressive in our strategy with the help of a friend and got the 'used' price way down.
This is the same reason we bought our Subaru new. They really don't drop enough to justify used. And the newer safety features were limited in used cars when we bought, so those combined to sell me on my new car.

We used the Costco car buying program as terrible negotiators/buyer of a car is very popular in our area (we had to wait a few months for the car we wanted).

Yeaaaaah that’s lab error. If you can even call that a lab. I’d never trust a finger stick result. I work in cardiac rehab, and the lowest HDL I’ve ever seen is 17. And that was in a patient that had terrible family and personal history. HDL will take a small hit with weight loss and some meds but it’s never that much of a shift.
That makes me feel better too! I've had a combo of finger stick and real bloodwork that had all been pretty consistent. I have high cholesterol/blood pressure/heart issues on my dads side.
Has anyone taken advantage of this?
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/shell-app-link-chase-pay-save-30¢-per-gallon/You can get a one-time savings of 30¢/gallon, up to 20 gallons, by linking Chase Pay with the Shell app. Chase Pay transactions earn 5x UR on the Chase Freedom this quarter. As a Shell Fuel Rewards Gold member, you regularly save 5¢/gallon and can earn rewards for further discounts.

I’ve been taking advantage of the [targeted] Amex Offer for 10% back at Exxon/Mobil (up to $100 back) that runs until the end of the year and stacking it with earning rewards through the Speedpass+ app with my Amex BGR (3x MR gas + 10% back Amex Offer) linked as the payment method.

There’s also a new Amex Offer out this morning for spending $25+ in a single transaction at BP/Amoco using the BPme app by 12/31/19, and you’ll get 1,000 MR (I’m assuming there’s a $10 statement credit version too). I added it to my BGR for the 3x MR on gas.
Can always use gas offers for DH... speedpass wont work for me at our closest one though. And no AMEX offers
If you haven't checked out this thread lately you really should:

At first i thought this was on regular reddit lol
Love that we have people on here who can give their knowledge on different subjects. I think the lab mistake may have worried @amalone1013 just a teeny speck, and to immediately hear lab mistake from so many health professionals probably helps. It's always best to follow up with your own physician, but it doesn't hurt to hear positive dialogue.
It did. Also reminded me I really should have a GP anyways. I always say I'm going to but haven't yet.

For anyone who has a BoA card with offers, I have one for double cash back on dining and retail offers good on 10/12 only. I have the 10% back at Staples offer, so I'm going to hold that offer until 10/12 to get 20% back :)

think that will work? ive got rite-aid 10%. wonder if i can remember to try that one as we will be flying to dgs birthday party, maybe i should learn how to use reminders on my phone.

Quoting myself, I just heard back from my TA, she said if it's in my advantage (it is), just keep it!
:scared1:

Not sure what to do, transfer it off of the card or just leave it for now, knowing eventually it might get taken back? And also, where's the other $1,000? I was mainly worried that the agency might be out the money, but if there's no risk if that then don't worry about it any celebrate?:banana::banana:

Another update on this - I got really curious about what happened to other $1000, so I made some phone calls this morning and found out that they had tried to put in on one of my giftcards I used to pay with, but since the max is $1000 it was rejected (the card had a small balance), so they issued a new card and sent an email with the card number. The problem is they had my email address wrong (my last name is spelled lots of different ways - no one ever gets it right!). Anyways, they corrected it and reissued it to me and so now I have the full $1563! I'm not planning on touching this money for a loooooong time, I'm assuming they'll eventually figure it out. But if not - well, maybe another F&W trip next year!

I had to stop reading F&W reviews, it makes me want to go back again this year. The food was so good! I had the maple-bourbon cheesecake 3x, along with the passionfruit slushie Martini from France! Actually almost everything we tried was delicious - really only one or two things we didn't care for.

For some reason I really like the Mazda 5s. I think both of those have great safety features. For some reason Honda's been lagging with adding Honda Sensing to the CRV.

I really like those too, but they are a little pricier used through Carmax with all the features I want. They are pretty sharp looking though.

I was only seeing that price for the LX models. If you are finding Ex-l at that price, let me know. Lol. Though I took one home for a overnight test drive and decided I did not like it. Which is why I’m still in my van. And the newer ones have Appleplay, so decided I didn’t want to get older and miss out on that.

I've got two pulled up in my area that are 2016 EXs with AWD and sunroofs for 17,900 and 18,900. We also get a special rate that might bring the EX-L models down to that level for us.

It says retail, so I would think it would include that. I would think what it's trying to prevent is having people use the $50 back Xfinity offers and stuff like that and get them doubled.

I am going to switch my card after my next Xfinity cell bill to see if it will cover Dec and Jan.

I love CRVs (especially the new model 2017 and newer). That's my next car after my Odyssey dies (hopefully no time in the next six years). The problem I found with Hondas is they hold their value so well that used Hondas are relatively expensive. If you found a good deal, I'd jump on it:) I hope he likes it.
Car Play is so cool. I splurged and upgraded DD's civic to sport to get her Apple Car Play along with a few other nice features. Meanwhile I'm driving an Odyssey with 140,000 miles on it!
167,000 mile Odyssey here. I’m supposed to get next car. But I just told my DH maybe he should get new car and give DD his car and I’d keep my Odyssey. Lol. I am just having a hard time letting it go for some reason. Though I do wish I had Bluetooth and Apple car play.
My 07 Odyssey has over 200,000 miles on it! It needs to last another long long time because I have two motorcycle payments (I know, I know) and I simply cannot afford a car payment on top of those. Although I'd try to sell the bikes if I had to...

Last night I went to dinner with 3 ladies I don't see often and when it was bill settling time we all whipped out different cards to pay. We had a very brief chat about my goals with cards and what I was trying to accomplish. When I mentioned that my new cards had annual fees (all $95, thus far), one of them just shook her head at me. I told her I felt the same way just 4 short months ago but that I would keep them posted on how this trip planning went!

I put an award flight (just to SNA) on hold with American Airlines

If I go ahead and book it there are some small fees to be paid. Does it matter if I pay those with the Citi AA card or the Amex Hilton Biz? (I am working on finishing an MSR for a CIP and just started on the Amex Hilton Biz, but it's such a tiny amount....) We won't have any checked bags and I am unsure whether either card would have any benefit, or if there are even any benefits to be had on such a short hop.

Any advice is appreciated!

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan with 165,0000 miles here. I'm trying to hold out for the updated electric VW Bus in 2002 :flower1:
Saw this life hack for hotels on Twitter and I think my life is forever changed.

I saw that, too! Why on earth have I never thought of that??

Wow - this is not a drill people: Jan-Mar Disney discounts are OUT!! Pretty strange to see a Friday release! It seems they did not do the additional 10% for Visa this year though, I'm slightly bummed about that. I'm getting 25% off at Yacht...but I REALLY wanted 35%!!! Haha!! Beggars can't be choosers I guess! Now you all can see one of the few things that will get me out of bed before 9am!

I just saved $626 off our package cost AND I'm getting a $120 Disney Gift Card when we check-in! I'll take it!
Oh my, what a morning it has been! Long story short, I now have a rack rate, gift of magic, and AP rate all booked for the same resort and dates. 😔

I spent maybe 2 hours total on hold with WDW resort reservations between 4 calls and could not get anything accomplished. Modifying resorts did not seem to work which is why I had to keep booking new reservations. Now that I have all these deposits I will keep refining, but I am happy I was about to save about $900 on my Epcot split. I am afraid to look at MK prices because I have DVC booked for those days, but maybe I SHOULD look and see what a great deal I got 🤣
