best chase 'beginner' card (s) -ds has BoA and BCE- wants to get into travel points etc. has own small biz, but not high income (it's p/t) I know a Freedom or FU is a no brainer...but turning it into travel is the key...which is smartest - begin with a freedom- and then move to CSP? unsure if there's a 'low level' biz option that would work here better...TIA

If you close and apply for a CIC you can get the bonus points for meeting the MSR. If you PC you don’t have that option.

When I asked about this in July, @Andysol said you could still get the bonus on a new CIC if you’d previously PC’d a CIP to a CIC. Somebody else (I forget who) said you just might have to close your CIC before applying to get the SUB.

CIP?

Does anyone have the letter that CITI BIZ sends you when they need more information for an application. I am needing the 800 #. I stupidly threw out my husbands after I emailed them the address verification info and of course I need to call it because we have not gotten any updates if he was approved or not and it's been a few weeks. I tried calling the approval line to try and get a person to transfer but I can't get past the prompts b/c it wants account info.

I think the CIP would be easier to get than the CSP or Freedom. DD got a $5000 limit on her CIP and a $500 limit on her Freedom Unlimited, same income.

Ya know what? It's those darn childless millennials' fault about the price increases. They're spending all of their disposable income on Mickey pretzels and now regular families can't even afford them.

I'm an end-of- the-line childfree Gen Xer, throwing around my disposable income on pretzels and glittery Mickey ears. I will say DCL priced me out for winter 2021. Good grief already.

So excited---I just booked the Epcot Forever dining package at Rose & Crown for our big March trip :cheer2: I have been checking daily for 2 weeks hoping that availability would open up.

Now I just need a DVC Moonlight Magic pretty please :rotfl:
Yes! I would love to know what the dates are going to be :yay:

And now that the increased Delta offers are out...I'm now in pop-up jail. I knew it would probably happen when I cancelled my Business Platinum, but it still stings (and I just couldn't justify the annual fee with my current card usage). Going to try to put some spend on my cards (I have some decent offers on each of them) and see what happens. I guess I will head back over to Chase for now.

As @calypso726 would say, this hobby affords us the opportunity to do crazy, spontaneous stuff like jetting off to someplace else for just a weekend.

Hmmm let’s see how many weekend trips we’ve done, just because we can, thank to this hobby.

Flew from Florida to San Francisco to see Hamilton.

Flew to DC to see Hamilton.

Flew to NYC to see Hamilton.

Flew to Chicago to see Hamilton

Flew to DC to see cherry blossoms.

Flew to DLR to do Dapper Days

Flew to London to see the Harry Potter play

Flew to NYC to see the Harry Potter Play

Flew to NYC to see the Mickey Mouse exhibition

Flew to Mexico for a weekend to hang out with friends who were there for a whole week.

Flew to Scotland for a long weekend to use a BA travel together ticket that I had nothing better to do with.

Had there been availability at Giraffe Manor next September I was going to fly to Africa for a one night stay there and fly back home. Again with the BA travel together ticket.

Flying to DLR this December for the weekend just because.

Going back to NYC in the spring for a weekend because my niece wants to see Beetljuice the musical.

I’ve long said I have no issues doing what most might consider insane at best or stupid at worst just because we can. Points and miles afford me the luxury of acting on a whim. If it sounds like a fun weekend, then I’m game.
