Picking them up after is the worst. Hate hate hate it. I usually throw wads of paper towel on top, then kind of shovel the paper towels into a bag and immediately put the bag in the outdoor trash (sometimes I will use the vacuum). I use Raid to kill them -- no way am I using my hands (I can't believe how long they survive while being sprayed). I am convinced they would for sure survive a nuclear attack.
I step on them with my shoe or use something to smack them with. I tried vacuuming one once but it was too big and my vacuum flung it across the kitchen. I about had a heart attack. I flush them sometimes

Yeah, I am. I'm using United's website and clicking on each individual day instead of relying on the monthly grid which pretty much only shows 200K miles for business. What airports have you been looking at? I check PHL and EWR every day. Only a very few of the flight possibilities are fully business class--most have a leg in economy. I see United and I see lots and lots of Air Canada. I have never seen any biz savers for Air New Zealand.

I used to be able to see business savers that connect out of Houston, LAX, and SFO, but in the last month or so I only see ones through IAH. I'm not really happy about flying through IAH during hurricane season (we'd be going sometime in Sept or Oct next year). I hope those LAX and SFO connections w business savers reappear for me. Air Canada through Vancouver would be fine, I assume.

As an example of what I'm seeing---this was availability for 2 this morning from PHL for 2020
Mon 8/17 Air Canada
Sun 8/16 Air Canada but really long connections
Sun 8/2 Air Canada (same as above)
Wed 7/29 United through IAH with multiple choices; Air Canada, multiples
Tues 7/28 Air Canada, multiples
Mon 7/27 Air Canada, long connections again
Sun 7/26 Air Canada, multiples
Sat 7/25 Air Canada, long connections again
Wed 7/22 Air Canada, multiples
Tues 7/21 United through IAH with multiple choices (yesterday there was a great 1 stop choice through IAH)
Mon 7/20 United but really long connections
and then nothing before that

editing to add: And some flights say 4 seats left, or 3 seats left, or 2 seats left. Some don't say anything so I assume they'd work if I needed 3 like you do.
Thank you so much!!!! I actually found a saver from IAD (Econ)-LAX (Biz)-SYD for 80k. I don’t see any return flights in Biz but there are plenty in ECON SAVERS for 40k.

Now for the international pros- is there a way to book via MRs or do I need to use my URs? It will be sad to deplete my URs but it is $18k in flights for 240k URs.

Also, can someone help me understand this $1067?

Over an hour since there's been a post? Is everyone actually working or do we just need a good OT topic to keep things going?
I agree, we are definitely in a bit of a rut as of late. That also seems to have occurred on r/churning also as comment volume is down there as well.

I think there's a couple of major factors here:
  • There haven't really been any new exciting offers to discuss
  • There are largely 2 advanced strategies dominating everybody's game-plan right now and they don't exactly require advice or discussion so we're all just going about our "business". 😉
I wonder if SW CP season coming up in a month or so will inject some energy into the conversation? I'd imagine that will be on a lot of people's radar.

Speaking of ‘bugs’, anyone know what kind of spider this is? It was in the back of our yard and my ds8 got it to hang on a stick and he brought it up to the back porch and called for me, knowing I’d probably have a heart attack.

A question for anyone in a position to hire employees - do you care what undergraduate school they went to?

To make this cc related, other than schools that accept CC payments directly without additional fees, what methods are good for paying schools?

I was wondering the same. This is the first day in a very long time that I've been able to keep up with posts here. :P

I am not even going to click on that photo. No thanks. 🙅‍♀️

Same!! I cannot bring myself to look!

It was definitely scaring me. Never seen a roach in my house, and now super glad that I live where I do even if that means I'm a long, long way from WDW.

You get used to them- I had 12’ ceilings in my old house and made it a game to kill them with my shoes. I got very adept at it, sadly. Just another random skill I have🤣. Florida living...

My federal agency does not except for when we were doing some IT Fellows program but that was at the master level. I don’t think I never once looked at the school in all of the hiring I did. The focus was on the experience.

I am guessing that’s more of big Corp or silicone Valley thing.

I just mentioned to Dh after it happened that we should put things in containers. I’m not sure what all needs to be put in containers though. You mentioned things in boxes. What about like chip bags? We don’t buy a lot of chips but sometimes have tortilla chips or bagged popcorn and we have bagged walnuts/almonds

I love Lock & Lock containers. Thank goodness no issues with bugs or anything I just like some food items in storage containers.
