We ate currently in our room in Pago Pago. So far we are liking this studio better than the one we left at BCV. While the location of BCV is perfect for Epcot stays, the studio her at the Poly is so gorgeous! The sink area for filling the coffee pot is more easily used and the bathroom! Wow! The balcony is about double in size and the grounds themselves are so pretty.

Anyway, did someone still need the in room dining pics? We are definitely doing the Twilight Feast tonight because we weren't sure if room delivery would be possible depending on what Dorian decides to do. The cm at Moana Mercantile said they will not shut down the resort and that we would still be able to eat at the restaurants. She said they did request people to stay in their rooms during Irma for about 5 hours but that was a direct hit storm. We are being optimistic!

Make sure you have food on hand. As the lobby/food court is in a separate building, folks were stuck in their room for a period of time last go around. But all of the resorts are great about keeping guests entertained and safe - honestly, if I have to be trapped somewhere during a hurricane, I’ll take WDW any day!
How does it work? Do they make you go to your room or can you stay in the lobby? Also, how do they entertain those that are stuck in their room? Will they force you back in your room if you were initially there but want to chance it and run to the lobby?
We leave end of September and just trying to prepare in case this is one of those years of never ending hurricanes

Here ya go. Sorry they are sideways. I turned them when uploading and they looked ok on my end!

We ordered the Twilight Feast tonight and by the time tip, tax, and delivery was added it was $80 for a 1 person serving. Plenty of food for the two of us and we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow in case we are stuck in room due to Dorian!

please don't hurt me because it may have been asked ad nauseam but i can't find an answer for recent months... what are the current toiletries available in the DVC studios? i found a post that said there's no more lotions so i will remember to pack that... but what else will i need? i am doing carry on only so i WAS relying on the toiletries :P

Depends on what’s going on. This year, people were not on lockdown and could move about freely. Last year they were confined to their rooms for a period of time. Those in resorts with connected lobbies could move about the resort freely, but in the case of the poly you were not permitted to leave your longhouse during that lockdown period.

Weather where I live is slowwwly starting to turn and during our upcoming trips there’s no staying at Poly... so all I can think is, take me back! To the oasis pool and adult beverages please.

We spent two nights in a Poly studio just 2 days ago and had lotion in our studio without asking!

Hoping someone can come through with a quick answer:

Staying at the Poly now and I’m in Tuvalu, unfortunately not with a view of the lagoon/park. Can I watch the fireworks show from the beach just outside my building and get the same experience with music piped in and everything or should I walk over to the main beach?

Edited to add: I wen ahead and walked over to the main beach. Great view from there, it seemed too off center from the beach near my room though I’m sure it would have been fine.

half a case of Dasani water and a bottled Starbucks cold brew to whomever wants it, we’re headed out this morning

Hope you had a great trip :).

Staying at the Poly for the first time in December in a standard room. Can anyone recommend a longhouse that has a nice standard view with a balcony? Thanks!

Thanks! We had the BEST trip! I think we were so spoiled with the low crowds and amazing experiences that we may have to delay another trip for a few years to avoid disappointment 😂

Glad you had a great time! The Poly is an amazing resort. Hope you are able to return again soon :goodvibes.

I'm not sure which longhouses are considered standard, but all standard room longhouses only have balconies on the 3rd floor. You would have to request 3rd floor balcony, but it would only be a request and not guaranteed.

Hello everyone! Just wondering if anyone might have a picture of the 4th of July Resort activity schedule from this year. Thank you 😊

About halfway down page 715, @GADisneyDad14 posted a pic of the July 3rd Activities. I tried searching and didn't see one of the 4th but maybe I missed it.

Thanks so much!! That picture was from last year’s 4th of July celebration. I was actually there as well both days, but was curious to know if anything changed this 4th of July! I appreciate your help!!

ETA: thanks for pointing that page out! I literally am going though all the pictures on the next few pages from there on that I posted while staying here. I really had a great trip. Makes me sad, wish I could do it all over again ☹️
