If you're a Chase Disney cardholder, check your inbox! A new hotel promo rolled out yesterday. I received my email at 3 p.m.-ish.

This promo applies to the Grand Californian Hotel (GCH) and the Disneyland Hotel (DL), not Paradise Pier. Reservations must be made by Sept. 11. Promo only applies to Sunday thru Thursday reservation between Oct. 13 and Dec. 19. Naturally, some exclusions apply. ;)

GCH: 30% off premium rooms, 20% off standard rooms
DH: 25% off premium rooms, 15% off standard rooms

Just called to update our November reservation at GCH, saving almost $300 on a two-night stay. :woohoo:The very helpful castmember had to cancel my existing reservation and re-book though. Took an extra few minutes but they transferred our room requests and other details, so it was hassle free!

I saw that offer too, continued proof that Disneyland is still suffering from the summer blues and IMHO the combination of rate hikes and Galaxy's Edge hype. Glad you saved some money!!!

Agreed. When I told my husband about the promo, his immediate comment is that DL is desperate to fill the parks this Halloween/Holiday season.

This offer comes out every year for the same time frame. so i don't think its out of desperation.

I don't recall the promo running from October to December. That seems much longer than usual ... or am I crazy? Either way, it's a great offer!

I noticed DLR rack rates are quietly down from the 2019/SWGE price hikes. Not only this Fall but also 2020.

Sun-Thurs Spring Break 2020 period, seeing 349/465/585

Basically back to 2018, so I'm not saying it's cheap. But yes fair to say they met resistance at this year's Gag Factory style pricing.

Hmmm, I got this offer a month or two ago, and took advantage of it for our DLR rooms, saving a couple hundred bucks.

ETA: however, the rack rate is now down to about what I got it for with the 15% off adjustment. I foresee another call to the hotel to see if I can get it adjusted. Thanks for the heads up, esp. about the rack rates coming down!

I’ve got a reservation for a standard room at DLH for Oct 20th (Sunday) to Oct 24th (Thur). It’s $475/night. If I signed up for the card now would I have access to the promo? That would save me $285 + whatever reduction in tax...

Also, if I don’t get the card, is it likely this promo will roll out to the public?

The promo email says the offer will go public after Sept. 11, subject to availability. When I spoke to the CM this morning, she mentioned there are only so many promo rooms available per day so she had to check our dates before cancelling our original reservation.

I don't see why the promo wouldn't be offered to brand new cardholders but only Disney/Chase could confirm. I'd call the Disney cardholder number to ask. 1-800-300-8575.

Also, if you get the card, you receive a $200 statement credit after spending $500. Your hotel stay would automatically earn you the credit. :cool1:

I was pretty excited to see this offer. I had off site booked for Thanksgiving week, and now I'm at GCH! I'm so excited!!!!

It's my dream to stay at Grand Cal someday. I have a solo trip planned for a couple days in November in conjunction with a business trip, but the cheapest rooms I can find, even with this discount, are over $500 per night (for 2 nights). I was able to book a friendly neighbor hotel for $140 per night. So I'll keep my eyes open for future offers, but Grand Cal will have to remain on my bucket list.

(I have stayed at DLH a few times and L-O-V-E it! But those rooms aren't any cheaper with this deal either - looks like only club level rooms remain right now.)

Ya... the card honestly isn’t worth it for me (I use the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Amex platinum) and I don’t really want another card... but $200 statement credit wouldn’t hurt AND I would either save money on the standard room OR I could snag a premium view of downtown Disney and basically be at the same price as I am now...

Anyone know what floors are considered premium view DTD rooms? (And I assume Adventure Tower...)

yes its always oct through dec. I know this because these past two years we have gone in December and the Promo always ends right before out trip.:worried:

I think Thanksgiving is usually excluded.

I just called Disney Chase card member services because I never seem to get these promos emailed to me even though I have had a Disney visa for years. They told me that the offers come from Disney, not them. So, I don't know how Disney selects who to send them to. ???

I was wondering the same. I never get these offers.

If you didn't get the promo offer in an email, can you still call and ask for it? And if so, do you call Chase or Disney?

edited to also ask: typically, this promo comes out just ahead of the annual Disney AP offer that includes FPs and a $20 dining certificate. I'm debating whether to try this or wait for the AP offer. Do you think it will offer a 30% discount on premium rooms like the Chase offer?

Thank you @gpjacobs! I just called Disney and asked them for the promotion. I was able to get a much more reasonable rate on my November GCH stay. I'm so excited!

Happy to help! I'm glad you were able to take advantage of the offer. To help others following this tread, did you receive the email or did they honor the promo for you just by asking?
