I decided to be fancy and do quotes. Which is no easy feat on a phone!

I just got into multi-quoting like a month ago! I didn't know you could highlight sentences and make them their own mini-quotes until the boards switched to the new server!

The only thing on their menu that has gluten is the buns. (Other than the Oreos in the Oreo milkshake or the malt in the malt vinegar) The fries are the only things cooked in the fryer so I feel super safe there! And it’s yummy!

That’s funny! Did you guys know he was going to be there? Reminds me of the time when I was younger and we were at the Grand Canyon and my sister ran into a friend. She didn’t know they would be there and we lived in Ohio at the time!

We didn't know this guy was gonna be there, but we knew two of dad's OTHER friends were going to be at Moonlight Magic later on in the week and we ran into both of them... PLUS this guy!

It was a GREAT morning regardless of The Wave, which was still pretty decent, so it was no sweat off my back! I'm praying you can get CG Brunch, too! We're still not exactly sure when our next trip is going to be, but we'd like to start it on a Friday or Saturday so that we have a better chance of booking CG Brunch from our 180 Reservation day.

Meeting Friends at MK​

Where I left you guys, Grace and I were meeting Chicken Little and Abby. It was maybe the funniest character interaction I’ve ever had in my entire life.

“ABBY MALLARD! QUEEN, WE STAN! YOU LOOK AMAZING TODAY!” I squealed as she opened her arms for a hug.

[WARNING: Break of Character Integrity-ish? As soon as I hugged her, Abby let out the most obvious snort-laugh I’ve ever heard in my entire life. It was GOLDEN.]

​

Grace and I basically spent the entire rest of our interaction with Abby and Chicken Little talking about how much we stan them and how great they look today. We complimented Chicken Little’s outfit and he started modeling and the character attendant said “you look like you’re in a back-to-school commercial!”

It was truly an amazing interaction.

Then it was finally time to use our FP+ for Mickey and Minnie! I was so excited to meet them in their celebration outfits, and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about the character interaction in this M&G!

They were extremely sweet as usual. Minnie loved my ears and glitter!

Then I asked if I could get a solo photo done. I’m so happy with how this came out! I love my Mice!!!

​

When we left the M&G, dad had tears in his eyes! “That was really sweet.” He said.

Thus, we were hot and drenched in sweat and ready for lunch, so we made our way back to the Grand Floridian.

Before we even made it to our room, mom insisted that we go to Gasparilla Island Grill for lunch.

With the DDP, your QS meal entitles you to one entree and one drink, but the drink can also be substituted for a snack or a dessert. Every time we went to Gasparilla, we ended up choosing the dessert because we had our resort refillable mugs, which were also included on the DDP!

Here’s my bacon cheeseburger and my dessert, a fruit tart.

The bacon cheeseburger was one of the better QS burgers I’ve had on property. The patty wasn’t super dry and the bun was nice and soft. It was pretty good, it definitely hit the spot after a fun morning at MK.

Fruit tarts are my favorite! I always get one whenever my family visits the bakery in town. This one was especially good, with fresh fruit coated in a jello-like glaze and a buttery, flaky crust.

I filled my resort mug with cherry coke one last time before we finally made our way to our room.

Home for the Week/Back to MK​

This was our first time at the VGF. The set-up here is almost identical to the set-up at the Poly Lake View Suite we had over Thanksgiving break. Queen bed, Murphy bed under the television, sofa pulls out to another bed that can sleep two. Tiny “kitchenette” area with sink, fridge, microwave, and cabinets next to the closet, where we hung up closet organizers to keep our stuff throughout the week. There were also cubbies built into the closet here, which I liked.

I felt the way the baths were set up were kind of inconvenient. One side has toilet and shower/tub, the other side has a sink and another shower. But you can’t beat that TV built into the mirror! The two “halves” are connected through a sliding door that locks on the toilet side.

​

The balcony had two chairs and a tiny table. As for the view? Well, it felt anything but standard to me!

​

Also… before I forget, the elevators in the VGF are AWESOME! We never waited more than 30 seconds for one, I swear. There are three of them, and despite the fact that the VGF was full for the week, there always seemed to be one waiting for us when we needed it!

So we unpacked for a little while. Mom took a shower and got changed while I opened up my laptop and started writing about our Travel Day. We took a nice two hours or so to decompress, and then it was time to head back to MK for the evening!

We took the monorail over again. The nice thing about the Grand Floridian is that if you take the monorail TO Magic Kingdom, the park is the first stop. But, if you take the boat FROM Magic Kingdom, the resort is the first stop— it’s a really convenient transportation set-up!

Once we got to the Magic Kingdom, our first stop was the Main St. Chapeau. We saw one of my friends from home, Sarah, standing outside the Chapeau! We did theatre together in high school, and now she's on her DCP as a Character Attendant. We caught up for a little while, then headed inside to buy what we wanted. I needed the donut ear headband for the next day, and Grace really wanted the Dole Whip ears, so we each got a pair of ears before moving on. We ended up going to Tomorrowland.

At first we got in line for Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, but the wait jumped from 20 minutes to 40 minutes as soon as we got in, so we got out immediately. We got some water from the cart across from SRS, then hopped on the PeopleMover! There was about a 5 minutes wait, which is probably the longest I’ve ever waited to get on.

After our spin on one of my favorite rides, it was time for me to go on another one of my favorite rides. We had a FP+ for 7DMT! I was super excited to find one for our check-in day, since we hadn’t been on 7DMT since 2017! We didn’t make it to our FP+ for 7DMT during our 2018 trip, so I booked 3 for this trip. Just to be safe.

I was so happy to be reunited with my second favorite ride in Disney!

We went from 7DMT to Philharmagic since we were in the area and still had a little while to kill before our ADR.

Then we decided to make our way over to our ADR for the evening!

It probably can't compare to the actual bed in the room, but it wasn't horrible! I slept in it with no trouble at all after long days in the park. I do recommend bringing a comforter, though, since the blanket they provide in the room for it is not the greatest.

I wish they offered 2 queen beds, too! That would be awesome.
