New D23 Expo Superthread! (6/24/2019)

Front row gold queue to the right for Disney+!!! Wooo

THanks for this info. I am hoping for some stand by queue magic later today,,.

I ditched the Broadway talent signing. Ten minutes later they told them all to leave, they didn't take any standby for Broadway signing. My friend did get in with standby for Jim Shore.

Still room in gold queue? Or are there not that many people yet?

Still at least 4 rows in each gold line available.

Warning that I've heard. Do not pick the center section for standby for hall d23. I guess they got screwed for legends today. They put extra space for stage pass there.

Anyone get a sense yet of when gold/standby will fill for the studio and parks panels? My gut is saying midnight but I haven’t heard how many slots were taken by stage passes. I just overheard one of the blue shirt staff say each presentation gave out a different number but he didn’t sound too sure

Managed to get into Disney+ Gold line at 1pm. Gold now looks full, at least in A, and looks same for B. C is too far away to see.....

Figured out the lines to Hall D23. Everyone gets in one big line upstairs and sorting happens downstairs in D23 waiting hall, Hall E.

Half the space goes to stage pass.

I counted the queue lines down here.

There are 12 for stage, 6 for gold and 6 for standby.

So let's talk about food.... I hear there are food trucks out dead center of the ACC entrance.…. Don't have to eat ACC food... Any other suggestions?

I was in center “B” for Legends as gold and got a great center seat. FYI for anyone comparing notes.

After seeing all the chairs this morning in Hall E, I went out at lunch to grab...my chair. Walked back to my hotel. Came back through the east entrance on Katella - NO CHAIRS ALLOWED!!! I had to leave mine in a pile. They said I could get it on the way out.

In the next Archives panel. Was much farther back in stand by and still got in,
With more being seated after me. Rough guess for this room is almost half seats are going to stand by. Haven’t been in any other panel rooms yet.

I was in section C standby for legends. The supervisor apologized for two mishaps. Apparently D23 had plenty of seats for everyone, it would just require group B to move behind C, but cast members told section B standby it was completely full and sent attendees on their way.

The other issue was cast members gave out the wrong wristbands for standby and reservations, so many people dishonestly went ahead of us.

The great news was it was a fantastic panel (Xtina saaang!), and cast members got their ducks in a row. Did reservations for Disney+ and it was a flawless process.

Very pleased with the CMs at line control in the basement. There were a lot And as lines started moving upstairs they were both posted behind and between the lines being moved so no one could line jump. Worked very well and efficiently.

Re Talent central stand by - as noted by @OhioStateBuckeye it seems to be hit or miss as to whether or how many will be able to get something signed. For the Joey,Jerrod,Dave signing at 4pm all three standby rows were full and all got pulled in. For Erik Tan, which overlapped at 4:30 -5:30, they’d only pulled one stand by row by 5:15 so not sure all would have gotten in to see him.

Hit the Archives costume exhibit around 6 & there was practically no line, same with the Honda Autopia exhibit

As I left, the line to start the overnight queue for Saturday, which is the studio and animation panel, was from the north security entrance almost all the way to Katella. Did not see any chairs in the line, saw a few pizzas!

For the Disney Team of Hero’s/ Voluntears, if you help there is a thank you of another reusable bag plus a pin. There will be a different theme for those each day & we were encouraged to come back each day. Today was animation, Saturday is Marvel and Sunday is Star Wars.

Onward to Saturday!

I'm in the overnight line and we're being told no chairs that don't fit in a backpack, no inflatable mattresses, and no yoga mats.

Can someone that had Stagepass for Legends this morning share the procedure for getting into the building? I have Movies tomorrow. I'm planning on arriving at about 7:00 AM, but I'd love to hear other people's experiences from this morning! Thanks!
