Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

So my question has nothing to do with club level, but all of you on this thread are so helpful with EVERYTHING, so I curious if you can give me advice on this one. I am looking at dates for next July. We sometimes fly, but mostly drive to WDW. Next summer I want to fly! I know many of you on this thread are probably frequent fliers, so can any of you tell me the cheapest days of the week to fly? I have heard Tuesdays, but I don’t really know from my own personal experience.

Is there a welcome drink for the Wilderness Lodge club? Just wondering.

Not that I have been specifically offered, but I sometimes find since we're with little ones at check-in (mine were 8 and 4 in April at our last time there) they sometimes don't offer specific drinks (little do they know that after plane flights/traveling with little ones, we do need one!). :-)

Not exactly related, but one morning I asked for a mimosa. I am probably going to botch what the CM said, but I think she asked if I wanted a "Grogmosa". I said I didn't know, so she brought both.

The "Grog" is the drink they have out daily- - water, cinnamon-apple and cranberry juice. Judging from my pic above, it appears the CM put most of the bubbly in the Grog. :-)

I think I’ll stick with our Pogmosas! 😂

I'm home from a five night stay at YC. We had a really nice time. This was my second YC-CL stay and I've also stayed at BWI-CL, so my bases for comparison are not vast. But, I'm giving the good and the not-so-good comments.

I had a SV reserved and we were assigned to room 5170. That is the room right next to the lounge. It was fine for my group (me, my sister, and her 16 yo son and 14 yo daughter). If it was DH and me, we would not have liked the location. Way too noisy with the staff setting things up and guests just louder than you'd think. However, because the lounge was so darn crowded at times, we ended up taking snacks back to our room and that was a quick walk. I was always up by 6:00 and went into the lounge area to work before the rest of my crew got up. I don't drink coffee, but have tea instead. The Nespresso machine was not functioning until close to 7:00 each morning and that was how you got hot water. A couple of mornings, a CM would get me a bigger cup of hot water. Other mornings I drank Diet Coke. Breakfast was never up and ready by 7:00 -- more like 7:10. People were ready to pounce at that time. They should not put a 7:00 time on the information sheet if they really mean 7:10. Managing expectations -- better to exceed than never meet them.

The dessert offerings were cookies, mini-cupcakes, and brownies or rice krispies treats. Ice cream and Olaf frozen treats were also available all day. I think there was one sugar free thing a couple of evenings, but it didn't look good. My niece is an athlete who watches her sugar intake, so a couple of evenings I asked whether they had any fruit she could have. She received a very nice fruit dish -- watermelon, grapes, apples and berries -- one night. An apple the other night. She was happy with that. She doesn't have a food allergy or diabetes, so not a medical condition. The other evenings I took her down to the grab and go and got her some fruit. That was a little disappointing. I thought I recalled some healthier choices at BWI though.

Housekeeping was excellent and we appreciated the turndown service in the late afternoon. Again, overall we had a very nice experience.

I've been so busy with work and school, and I miss my CL peeps!

We won't have a CL trip until the spring, and I'm still working on those plans. However, my DH knows I'm broken-hearted over Illuminations ending and planned a quick weekend getaway in September before it ends:lovestruc. Staying at Dolphin (first time) and doingMSSSHP and Epcot. So glad to have a trip even if so short.

I hope everyone is having a great time with their CL trips and planning!!
