One table service meal with a 5-year-old boy

Someone recently posted about if you could pick just one table service restaurant, which would you pick? Their demographics were a bit different than ours. I'm looking for a combination of good food for both adults and kids and atmosphere that would keep an excited boy entertained enough for the duration of a meal, haha. It doesn't necessarily have to have characters. I think I'd want to skip a regular buffet, but family style like the Garden Grill breakfast would be fine, and I'm definitely considering that as a possibility.

I'm not opposed to any location on site: park, resort, Disney Springs. Doesn't matter. We're on the QS Dining Plan, and I'm going to try to get a lunch reservation at BOG, but it would be nice to go to one actual table service meal while we're there.

Send me your favorites!

On our last trip we went to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater (our son was 8 at the time) and we all had so much fun. Out of all our meals this is the one we are still talking about 3 years later. Not to say the food is fine dining but it was certainly very good, it's the atmosphere that this place has that makes it special.

Another vote for Sci Fi - the food is decent and it has a unique atmosphere. Plus it's a great place to chill and decompress from the park!

Seating at sci-fi makes this one tough

I agree w your GG pick. To keep budget down you can do ppo breakfast. I do love their breakfast. Plus I think I have had the best character interaction here ever. Pluto once tracked down our server, dragged him over and made him get our drinks right now. Lol

Plus the fun of a spinning restaurant. Plus you are perfectly positioned for Soaring if he’s tall enough. If not can get a jump on living w the land

My suggestion Lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Antics and Hijinxs of staff plus the round up pony ride should keep him happy

I can see that. I wouldn’t think black and white movies at Sci-Fi would be all that interesting to a kid in today’s world.
I think it’s less about the movies themselves and more about the atmosphere and novelty of eating in a car.
