Everyone told me how hot and humid Florida would be but my parents in Iowa are having hotter weather lol.

My parents are in Naples. It’s usually hotter in Richmond in the summer—not sure it ever gets to the mid 90s in Naples. Summer just lasts longer.

My DH's Plastiq payment that was under review was approved yesterday and I already got my email about my $1000 FFDs for my referral! (Of course) @Lain was was right, there was nothing to worry about!

PS- does anyone else have a problem with not have smileys available when posting on their phone? I miss using happy faces and dancing bananas!

That’s what I was thinking- other places might be hotter and more humid for a while, but 5-7 months of heat and humidity and usually 10-12 months of humidity is the difference.

Also, staples has fee free Mastercard Giftcards starting Sunday. I am not going to be taking advantage of this. There are issues with Mastercard loading serve at WM and there tends to be a lot of fraud on these cards. If you do get them liquidate them quickly.

OK, just looking at those chocolate chips. Intrigued. What other good food choices do you buy there? I already use PB2 daily (I do half reguar half chocolate yummy) but I just got 4 pounds delivered from Amazon, so I am good there for awhile.

.....and I just realized i forgot (again) to use Discover at the grocery store..... I'm usually ok at remembering which card to use! Discover is just never on my radar even tho it's sitting RIGHT there in my wallet among my other needed cards! And I like 5% cashback too!

I’ve had to seriously curb my Disney souvenir cups, Disney and tiki mugs, and Starbucks You Are Here mugs addiction. I now have way too many that are not being used and I’m out of space!

then you really shouldn't follow the 'mugs of disney' thread on Instagram like I do..... the struggle (for more shelf space) is real!

I have 3 that end in -1008. Drives me bonkers. I had a problem with an amazon order and had to confirm the card I used. I knew it ended in -1008 but had no idea which of the 3 cards that might be. C'mon Amex, get a little more creative!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem! I had like 3 ending in the same 4 digits,had to delete and the re-add the one I wanted to use on Amazon b/c I lost track!

Just changed my mind about running to Costco for half and half and went into Aldi's instead. In addition to the cart full of stuff I would have came out with, I would have had to buy a Costco hotdog due to subliminal messages from @Lain who knows I've got those partially used gift cards in my wallet.

Aldi's only took $16 for the additional items I managed to gather up. No cart, so could only get what I could carry.

And, since my Costco has those self checkouts, it would have been faster, if I could go directly to the dairy area and back to checkout. I have a Costco, Safeway, Aldi's and Target right there together. Costco is usually the fastest to get through a line.

whoa. I wish I had a costco next to an Aldi...... I much prefer a simple Aldi run to a costco visit....Aldi is much better for my ADD mind! small,cheap,easy to get in and out without buying WAY too much stuff! I actually only keep my membership b/c of the continued discouns on car rentals which I can't seem to beat anywhere! (And I visit about twice a year,but that's always bad for my budget)

Thank you to you and everyone else who posts about AmEx offers. I don't always have time to check them periodically and when they get posted here, I can go check for the ones that I want. Got the BB&B, CA Pizza and a Harry's that wasn't there before.

Iowa gets very humid in the summers but a lot of people don’t expect that. The problem with Iowa is the temperature changes drastically in a short amount of time. I’ve already gotten used to the 90 degrees with humidity here because it gets to that temp every day. Having a pool obviously helps too lol

Florida in July....St Louis in July...... I've never been more drenched in sweat and dying from heat as when we all decided to take the kids to zoo on a roaring hot summer day in St. Louis.... it's unbelievable! I'd take FL over that.

I got several of the ebags and BBB offers. Will have to decide whether to use the BBB for DS2’s college shopping list or gift cards. Also got the ebags offer on my Serve card. Not likely I’ll use it for that. It seems strange that they offer offers on Serve.

Amex..very slow, I'm going to have to chat or call but we have gotten one out of 4 new bonvy replacement cards....and I've gotten plenty of notifications they're going to shut the old purple ones down...it's been 2-3 weeks! I still haven't gotten my upgraded ascend yet, so I'm using my old card until it gets here(it had better apply to the MSR!) and I can't find a charge from Macys from the other day on my Amex acct even tho it's shipped.....this is confusing.

I’m skipping it. They have fraud issues and apparently don’t work at Walmart?? There was a post on the MS thread on reddit that they were able to get cashback at stop and shop with them but that died. I was going to try that.

Oh same here lol. I grew up in the south so I love this weather. Dh hates humidity but he’s starting to get used to it already. Like yesterday we rode bikes after he got home from work and it was still probably a feels like temp in the 90s. We went swimming after which was super nice

We get a nice breeze from the coast so that helps. We’re always 3-5 degrees cooler than Orlando and I was told in the winter we’ll be warmer than Orlando for the same reason

We went to the St. Louis Zoo over Memorial Weekend, it was brutal, but better than winter!!! I HATE winter with a passion, so I don't complain about heat, ever! We have had a 150 degree swing in the "feels like" temps in the last 6 months here. At least Florida will never have that!
