My Newegg adventures... Order disappeared from my order history 1-2 hours ago. I chatted supported and they said they saw the order and something went wrong with processing and since my cc wasn't charged I should just do the order again. Yeah, no. I did not. I had ordered a $10 groupon gift card and $200 Visa e-gift. About 20 mins later I get an order confirmation for all of it, an order confirmation for the Visa only, a limit reached email regarding my $10 groupon gc (I ordered 1 with my previous order and apparently that is a limited item), another order confirmation for the Visa and an offer used email from Amex. Thankfully I was only charged for 1 $200 VGC. This is a special outfit. Worth it for sure but wow...

If your not ready to get a CIP i would do the MDD. I just funded a bank account with Great Southern Bank thanks to @alryan and it was super easy 5k msr done. I live in MA so nowhere close to them!
I think @Lain mentioned it months ago, so thanks to him as well!! But glad I could help. I just couldn't get over how easy it was. I will try a savings account when I am up for the next CIP.
I was thinking about this today. Have 4K on SW Biz MSR, would like to finish ASAP. How hard is this? I remember there is a phonecall. What do they ask? Would I be able to open an account for DH or would he have to call?

Rumor out of the DLR board the Disneyland monorail will be reducing operating hours starting Jul 21 by not running from 11am-6pm, just a head's up to anyone headed that way. (Poster says this comes from a monorail CM but idk if the poster is reliable.)
Why?? To save money? How long?

I'm going with cutting hours and costs given the low attendance this summer. We only ride the monorail when we're staying at the DLH and consider it a perk of that hotel being so close to the DTD station. One less reason to book a stay at the DLH. :sad2:

Ordered a $200 and $100 eVGC and a $20 Playstation GC for a total of $335.90. Got the Great news! email from Amex. Complete order delivered an hour and a half later. Easy peasy. :confused3

I’ve been going back and forth on this all day. It’s sounding like a different experience all around. I’ll try it and post back.

Costco is usually the fastest to get through a line.
I can park, go into Aldi, grab a couple items and pay, all in less time than just finding a parking spot at Costco nearest me. Now the Costco near where I work, parking lot always half empty.

Silly question but does it make any difference if you use an already open NewEgg account? Or just make a new one? My dad has an old account I am able to log in to (even though my dad passed away 6 years ago, guess they don’t close old accounts)
It really is easy. On the phone call they just get your information to verify it’s you and then give you your login information. Unless you want to impersonate your DH he would have to call. Only took three minutes. There was just a dp of Citi not working but the few of us who have used Chase to fund haven’t had a problem funding $5000.
So you apply and put in the cc info, then they call you to verify info?

Anyone have a Citi Premier? Can you combine TY from more than 1 Card?
I have an old Citi Sears Card which now earns TY points. I have an offer now for 15x Points on gas, groceries and restaurants, so I’m thinking I could manage to earn 20 k points on this. The Premier has an offer for 60k points and if I use the points from both card, I could buy Disneyland tickets on their portal.

Also had a DH breakthrough today. DHs car wouldn’t start this morning so he needs a new battery. He texts on the way home to ask if he should go to Advance Auto since there is a 10% offer on his CFU. Wow, I guess he does listen to my babbling occasionally.

I already had a Newegg account so I used it. I hadn’t used it in a while, but no problems. I don’t know if I’d be comfortable using a deceased person’s account in case there are any issues with the order that requires the account holder to speak to anyone.

I would open a new one due to @snugglebug 's report she got called to verify the order. Maybe due to being a new account but why risk it?
