AP Discount Watch and FAQ 2023. 10% - 40% off select nights July 11 - Sept 28; Oct 2 - Dec 25

I was really surprised at the rates. I have the summer fun discount for the first 2 days of our 3 day trip at the YC 9/28-10/2 and rack rate for the last night. There's no deluxe offer that can beat the total price I have even paying rack rate for that last night.
Wow, you must be getting full rate for the weekends or something.
I booked a new stay in Oct and it's only $8 more than my Summer discount rate that expires in Aug.
Nov was a lot cheaper but that was booked at rack rate anyway.

You are subject to availability though. It's virtually the same thing as making a new reservation. The discount has to still be in effect as well.
I haven’t had to deal with the rate fluctuations you were talking about...hopefully that’s not our new reality. But if you are lucky enough to book a room with a discount for the entire week, you should be able to have it modified to fewer days even if it’s not showing availability for just those few days since you technically already have it booked for those same days. Such an adjustment would require the help of guest relations, and we have done it quite a few times in the past. But it is a whole new world now isn’t it, so all one can do is try it...the worst they can say is no and then you could still cancel.

Was able to apply the PH discount to my 9/15-9/22 Pop reservation online, however the weekend PH rate was $26 more per night than the standard rate (even pricing a new booking this morning). Only saved about $30 because of this. Tried calling for an hour but never even got put on hold - either busy signal or all circuits busy message. Room type is no longer available at standard rates but it looks like a back end fix was made to made the discount look better. This morning the room was $195 avg per night for no discount (when I could still book it) and $190 with discount. Now that it’s unavailable with no discount, it shows the standard rate (but room not available) on the PH offer page as $218 avg per night, making the PH deal look better. And if standard room rates went up since I booked in Jan that’s fine, but my Jan standard rate was identical to what was offered online until the room type sold out about a half hour ago. I guess I get to keep checking back to see if stuff changes again. Also I’m sure no one will admit that they raised soon rates this morning (just in time for discounts, or actually 2 hours late lol).
You can handle this yourself if you just watch for the weekend rates to drop. There's a thread here that tracks when they are dropped or not somewhere.

I sure thought it appeared that rates were raised!! I can't get anything to work for the dates we are scheduled to go Looked at both GP and AP and tried every way including trying to do a split stay (at same resort) and i'm coming up empty handed within the budget i want to stay in. per disney site, i can do $1300/night at contemporary or $100ish/ night at the All star sports.... no thanks....

This is undoubtedly the most frustrating hotel booking experience I’ve ever had. Obviously this is my first time going for Passholder rates and I would like to throw something while screaming obscenities at Disney. I am in awe of you vets who have this nailed to a science of patience, patience, patience.

Okay so was able to get Magical Holiday Room offer 10/24-10/27 at CSR - no AP left. Only saved $50. :sad2: But I'll keep checking back for AP rates. Managed to get AP discount for additional stay 9/20-9/22 for CSR Tower. 2 hours all in....I need a drink!!

Evidently, this is really varied based on what dates you want and what resort. I don't see a jump in rack rate of more than a few dollars. My room rates are running pretty darn similar to what I've been paying

Well, I was on hold for over 2 hours before being connected. The hold music was cutting in and out and had an echo. Still, the CM stated she could hear me just fine. I was able to secure AP room discounts on previously made reservations for October and December. Also, I asked about the Free Dining for the December reservation, but was told I needed to add a minimum 4 day Park Hopper ticket for each person. This made our total price much more than using the AP room discount even though we only get the discount for part of our stay due to date restrictions.

What's wrong? I don't find it any different than booking any other stay. Just enter dates, scroll to find hotel, add to cart and check out. Only issue I had was it didn't want to populate our names in the guest list but I click to my Friends and Family list and then click back to the cart seemed to fix it

This is very frustrating for all of us! LOL i think i'm more frustrated at the lack of availability for the discounts and the appearance of an increase in rack rates. Part of me doesn't want to think that disney raised the rack rates to off set the bone they are throwing people with these 'discounts' .

Mmm, we broke MDE:

  • Booking is currently unavailable. We’re working to restore availability as soon as possible. Please check back later.

Or better yet, tell her to get on MDE on her phone or whatever and check for herself. The lack of their knowledge this basic is unacceptable.
Yeah I think she was frustrated and misspoke. She checked other moderates and confirmed AP discount was not appearing. I was able to get AP on a Sept trip so I think it was just out by time I got through.

How many rooms can an AP holder book? If more than 1, can they do it online or must it be by phone? My parents have APs and we would like to be able to get the room discount for my husband and I as well. We were able to get the 20% for December at AKL, but 30% would be even better. Thanks! :)

Would anyone mind checking nov 9-12 at either boardwalk or WL? I’m having trouble getting through and just need to see if worth it to keep trying since I’m at work.....thank you!
