Magic Bands Upgrade

We were able to choose 6 out of our party of 8. We are doing a split stay in December so we still have a little more time to try to upgrade the remaining 2 linked at our second resort. We were able to order them last Wednesday and they came today. We got an e-mail along with a tracking number. We have been trying since Day 1 so we were happy to get most of what we wanted. I have seen the other 2 (Belle and Darth Vader) at different times lately, but I could not check them out a the same time. I have a long weekend coming up so I feel cautiously optimistic that we will get the other two.
 
At this point it feels like I'm more likely to win a lottery than actually get an upgraded magic band.

Man...I got to a new page this morning - the final checkout page but then - BAM - error. Boo.

Then you've gotten farther than me... After more than 100 tries, I've only managed to find mutually agreeable bands for our party of 3 a handful of times, and only once or twice, have I successfully been able to add them for everyone all at the same time. But not once have I been able to advance to a checkout page. I wish I knew what the trick was.
 


Think i know the answer but wanted to ask if there is a way to edit an order that contains premium band. We found one DD wanted but none for DW and I and we decided to pull the trigger to at least get her something special. I assume we are stuck with our normal bands we picked? Not a big deal, but thought id ask in case its possible to keep searching for DW and I.

Unfortunately, once an order is placed it cannot be altered.
 
Just wanted to give an update about my experience... I ordered 1 upgraded band and 2 regular bands back on June 21. They ended up arriving less than a week later on June 27, and all bands were as ordered. I still have yet to be charged the $10 for my upgraded band (it showed up as pending on my cc the day I ordered it and then disappeared).

Has anyone else not been charged for their upgraded bands? It's been over 2 weeks since my order was placed, so I would have thought it would be on my cc by now. Not complaining though!

If anyone is curious, I did finally get charged on July 10, which was 19 days after ordering and about 2 weeks after it was delivered.

When I called Disney about this ridiculous problem, they told me to try Chrome.
Most on the phone have no idea what this is all about.
Frustrating! At least we have some time to order our bands. You'd think they could figure out how to make this work. Or is it rocket science??

Chrome gave me problems (it is my usual browser). I was able to get further and order using Explorer.
 
Yeah, I have both and neither have worked. On different laptops and tablets, too.

In the meantime, I have ordered some skins from Amazon. They are pretty cute and about $6 each. I'll fancy up some of my color only bands.

Last year, I used a company recommend by other Dis folks. They were great G Bulldogs, Just Married- awesome Halloween ones. No loss. I'd still show the CM when I checked in and see if they could help out with a discount in the store... you never know
 
Great idea! I've learned it never hurts to ask, very politely. An in store discount would be awesome. Would definitely relieve some of the frustration of trying to use the dang app to buy them.
Our vacation is in November, so I still have time to order. Hopefully this craziness will be fixed soon. But I won't count on it!
 
I’ve tried Chrome, IE, Edge, iPad, phone... nothing seems to work. What a time suck. I was really hoping that I would have some success today, too.. I finally found everyone’s top choice at the same time AND right after they apparently loaded, since I had been stalking the site. But I still couldn’t check out. After an hour of that nonsense, I lost the ability to select the top choices for me and my daughter. Ugh.
 
Time suck, indeed. But when I read that others (rarely) are successful, I keep trying!
I need to let it go a few days. Wish me luck.

I also found exactly the ones hubby and I want, but get that stupid dismiss/retry when trying to complete the order. grrrrrrr

He said as soon as they restock, they sell out on lots of the more popular bands, which seems like is all of them I think. He also said that because they opened up the window for ordering the bands from 30 days to 90 days (I think) more people can order far ahead of their trip. He assured me they are well aware of the big problem and are doing all they can to remedy it. I'm going to TRY and give it a few days until I try again. Like I said, I have a few months.

Not meaning to be disrespectful but this CM doesn’t have a clue!!

We purchased our first band at over 100 days out so the 30/90 day thing makes no sense.

This is just one time that Disney IT has totally messed up and the poor frontline CMs are trying to cover for them.
