Honestly I'm a patient man... But this is getting ridiculous. We are under the 50 days mark for the "Official" opening... Disney get your act together people need to plan this sort of thing. :badpc:
I would love a month warning at least to look for flights and a room! I know #firstworldproblems 😂😂

Just with likes to this post so it doesn't become pages of "me" how many are actually planning a trip just because of the announcement of AP previews and with smiley faces to this post how many already had a trip booked for the August expected timeframe that are planning on doing the previews?

I already have a trip planned for August 16-23. I'm there with three of my kids but only my youngest and I have APs. My 14-year-old isn't that interested in Star Wars, so he's not too fussed if we're able to register for the preview. My 11-year-old was slightly put out, but I told him I'd get him a droid (assuming the shop is open), so he's fine with that. Legos are my back up.

we are a bit of both - though more the later. We have a trip in August, currently schedule to leave the 13th - but if the previews are, say, the 15th we could look into extending our stay (if they aren't until like the 22nd or something, then it won't work) - so that is why even just knowing what dates they would be for certain would help as I would know whether it is possible or not for us

Blog mickey just posted that CM previews are 8/1 - 8/16 and their registration begins 7/22. they get to bring 1 guest and preview slot is 4 hours.
Wow, that doesn't leave much time for the Passholder previews, does it? Assuming there will be media previews before the official opening.

And it sounds like we are not going to get our AP sign ups until end of July?

That seems long for CM only no?

Also with an Aug 1 start date it tells me the land is pretty much done right now except for finishing touches.

If I remember correctly Pandora previews were only about 10 days so it seems about right. Maybe a little less this time.

Also the fact that it’s only platinum and above really limits the passholder previews so I’m guessing disney feels they don’t need a long preview time then.

That’s unfortunate. It leaves me out of being able to go! But I might be able to make it work, depending on how long the AP previews are.

Maybe, by any chance, they might do AP previews and CM previews together? Like for Pandora, they had DVC in the morning and AP in the afternoon. Could they split like the last week of CM previews to include AP previews as well?

Interesting .. so that gives 7-9 days before the "media preview" days .. I think realistically expecting 2 weeks of AP previews was a dream, especially since they are limiting it to Platnimum and up.

At least they get a reservation start date! Does that mean our reservation date will be AFTER July 22? Ugh.

The good news is that ~ 8/17 - ~8/26 fits into my "gamble" of a Pop Century reservation (8/21 - 8/24) .. We'll see if I can reserve a spot during those days.

If there is no overlap, and the media previews are 2-3 days (I think that is probably all they do for media) then we could be looking at 8/17 to 8/25 for APs which would be 9 days and not too bad at all. Again, no idea, just speculation.

As for the AP sign up date, I am not sure the CM sign up date affects the AP sign up date unless the CM and AP preview dates/times overlap

So it says "The preview is limited to 4 hours" so assuming that's 4 hours a day.......I guess anything is possible for the rest of the day.
