DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Top O the Mornin Dads! Will stick to Disney news today as not much else goin on around here today, that's any good. Got with my DVC guide yesterday to add-on some more points to home resort AKV Kidani. Family will hopefully be getting bigger, and if things work out as planned, I'm looking at retiring in 8 years which will mean more time for me and DW to spend there especially she has grown into more of a Disney fan over the years. Got next years trips planned out with DDCC in Jan for me, me & DS in March for guys / Galaxies Edge trip, Aulani in Jun with all 5 of us and a short trip to DaWorld in August before DS heads back for his final year of school. I know, they are price gouging in many areas, tier FP+ is a PITA, etc. but with investment in DVC, DVC Gold APs, Sothwest Miles for basically free flights we find it to be more than worth what we actually pay and we just all love being there. Have a good one gents!
Thanks. Looking forward to the trip. We are going to try 10 days at BWV and DVC APs for the first time.
Nice! We just did a 9 day stay at BWV and loved it. If you are flying instead of driving, we used Amazon Prime Now for grocery delivery. They deliver in a two hour window from placing order so it worked great for stock up as everything was at Bell Services when we arrived. I placed order the morning we left and set a delivery window schedule for that day. Also made another order during our stay and it was delivered 2 hours after I placed it. Prices were decent and obviously less than WDW prices water, coffee, sodas, snacks for the room, bagels, etc.

Are you looking to adopt another son?

A successful day. The amount of PWK I have to submit is staggering, but I should be able to manage. March 2020 is the projected date. Still not official yet though, but the process had started.
Good at least you have it started. March 2020 isn't that far away!

I'm good thru June. Getting out in March keeps me ahead of train. We'll use all our UY points at BWV, so we may just add a couple days at Cocoa Veach to check out that area.
I'm not familiar with Cocoa Veach, but I'm about 30 minutes from Cocoa Beach if you want to meet up. :rotfl2:
I'm 40 min from Disney, so can possibly get together there also. If you had an RV, I'd say my driveway has a little room. ;)

Wow! That's quite the lineup. The following year's trip to Myrtle Beach will be a pretty big letdown.

Just finishing up been at it for about 29 hrs or so. Off to bed shortly

No one there will thank you, so thank you for getting that done! I know what a big deal repairs like that are.

I like the idea of more points, but don't consider dvc an investment. They keep making restrictions to resales, but surprisingly the prices have stayed high.

Yeah, never did a 10 day stay before and am looking forward to it. I think we are doing dvc APs, so will drive to save $.

Me neither. But, it's a close beach to Disney.

Hey folks.
Had a pretty good weekend out at the lake with DD18. Back at work now... which, you know, sucks.

Had over $1,300 car repair. Plus need to bring it in for an airbag warning now. Joy.
The oven people called to tell me that a new control panel for the oven would be $1,850.
I think I'll live with it being crappy but semi-functional for now. A new oven will cost about the same. Ridiculous. Won't be a Jenn-Air, I can tell you that!

Morning from a dark Westfield NB. Into hour 21 of a watermain repair

Whoa. A lot of work.
Oy! That sounds even worse than @pkondz with his double shifts. Sleep well my friend.
It's worse.

Ugh. How come all of this stuff always seems to break down all at once? It's a conspiracy, I tell ya.

Morning all.

Not only is today Hump Day but it is also pina colada day; could there be a connection??

If you like Pina Coladas, getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga, if you have half a brain
If you'd like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the Cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for
Write to me and escape

Sorry about all the extra PITA costs hitting at once. Always seems to hit like that though

Morning, gents.
Worked late... was up at 4am feeling sick (bit better now. something I ate, I guess) then got up early because the landscaper is coming at 8am to give me an estimate on some work.
It's 8:45 and still no sign of him. I'm giving him until 9:00. If (if!) he shows up after that I'm going to tell him to get lost. If that's how they run their business, I don't want any part of it.

Ugh. How come all of this stuff always seems to break down all at once? It's a conspiracy, I tell ya.
Whoever it is that's conspiring is winning.

I have the half a brain part down pat.

Still don't think you're the love I'm looking for, though.

That it does. Oh, well.

Yeah, I'm not in it as an investment, although I am amused that I could resell and make a profit. (Possibly even taking dues into account.) Crazy. We're eyeing more points just because we're using them and could use more.

We did a 10 day once. (Usually we do 8.) Only advice I can give is to pace yourself. We had two days planned at Universal about a week in, and bailed on the second day to hit the pool and wander World Showcase.

No kidding. We had the plumbing and AC both go last month.

A bit of clarification, meant as an investment for the future - more points, more visits, bigger villas, etc. Have no interest in selling my points
