Of course the other fun part of this $1233 charge from Sams, if I dispute, is that it's what put me over my MSR and they gave me the points yesterday. That will surely look suspicious.
This is Barclays dispute info, not even sure what to send them in this case? Especially since I only am missing part of the order?
I want to dispute a transaction on my account. What should I do?
Here are the recommended steps to initiate a dispute.
Step 1: Double Check your purchase
• If you do not recognize: In many cases we find the merchant name may look a little different or that the transaction was made by an authorized user. In some cases checking with an authorized; checking your receipt, or contacting the merchant can help
• Check your receipt and any documents you have to review the return policy; this information is helpful to send in with your dispute details.
Step 2: It is not required but it is recommended that you contact the merchant first to attempt to resolve. We often find this is a quick and easy way to resolve the issue.
Step 3: If you still need to dispute your purchase, please send details of your dispute and all supporting documentation to Card Services, Fax: 866-390-3437 or mail to P.O. Box 8802, Wilmington, DE 19899-8802. If this is not an option for you, call us at the number listed on the back of your card.
• In most cases, we must be notified within 60 days of the date in which the charge appeared on your billing statement.
• Once a case has been opened for you, it will be referred to a specialist who will review your case to make sure that we have everything necessary to request credit on your behalf. The specialist may contact you for additional information if needed. After we contact the merchant's bank, we may issue a provisional credit to your account. We will notify you of the outcome of the dispute once we have fully investigated your case and received
Step 4: Continue to make payments on your account. Finance charges are not assessed on the disputed portion of your balance during the investigation period. However, if the dispute is not resolved in your favor, the transaction will be subject to the terms and conditions of your Cardmember Agreement including any applicable finance charges and fees. You are not required to make a payment on the portion of your balance that is in dispute while the purchase is in dispute status.
Step 5: Generally, disputes are resolved quickly, but it may take several weeks depending on the complexity of the case. We will notify you once we have completed our investigation, and inform you of how your case was resolved.
