Wow that’s awesome. I told Dh we could cash out URs for the cruise and his response was “I’d rather use those on flights” *shrug*. We’ve never used them on flights before lol. I’m not sure what he’s thinking. I don’t think he’s quite ready for a cruise because he just started work and we were just at wdw

This kind of sounds like something DH would say, just because he's not as deep into the details... Now he has progressed to, "Whatever you think is best" which is super frustrating when I want to bounce ideas off him

ankers are good but one thing i dislike about them is that they are pretty expensive.
i have about 2-3 of them because they sometimes go on sale, i typically buy aukey or ravpower.

I really like anker power banks. I have one that is 4.5 years old and going strong. I picked up two on sale last year because I was looking for a lighter one to carry in my purse when traveling... decided the first one was too small (not enough power) and the second is almost the same capacity as my old one but half the size and weight.

I reconnected with an old friend today who is in town on tour. We had a good laugh when we both whipped out our CSRs to pay for dinner and then started comparing notes. He doesn't churn but instead puts all of his hotel and dining charges on his CSR and then uses his per diem allowance from his employer to pay it off. Voila, easy 3x points on almost all of the money he spends and very little of it is actually out of pocket. He has been doing this for three years now, gathers enough points for an all-inclusive vacation every year, and just signed up for another long contract. It's a winning strategy for someone who doesn't have the day-to-day bandwidth to keep on top of different MSRs but travels a lot for work. Just something to keep in mind if any of us ever go out on tour (unlikely for me but you never know!)

But the CIP earns easy 3x points at hotels too....

@calypso726 Thanks for posting about using Avios for Disney resorts? Did you happen to notice if they have Disney resorts once 2020 hits? We are traveling Jan 10-13 and I’d hate to transfer MR to Avios if the Disney resorts aren’t there.

So here is something weird....This is how my BOG lunch looks in MDE. Only it says it was made by me but it is set up like someone else made it and I can't modify/cancel. It also doesn't have our avatars showing. For the record, I did make the ADR and did so from the app. It is currently not showing AT ALL in the app. Help!

Hi Churner Peeps! This may be old news I missed since I don't pay too much attention to booking Disney hotels but I discovered that Disney hotels can be booked with Avios while looking for something completely different. I figured I'd share. URs transfer to BA Avios and so do Amex MR. I know some don't bother with Amex but it may be an option for those looking to book Disney hotels with points since MRs will transfer 1:1 to BA. I don't know if adding a throwaway rental car would make the rate better or not. But with Amex and now Chase doing transfer bonuses it might be feasible for some. Here are some random screenshots for a one night booking on Sept 14 at the Swan, Dolphin and Wilderness Lodge.

WL: $435 (nature view) = 0.57cpp
Dolphin: $189 = 0.90cpp
Swan: $209 = 0.76cpp

Expedia:

Dolphin: $249 (?)

I know my Swan/Dolphin reservations were ~1.2cpp with AA miles. So maybe a little lower value than AA total, but a good option for those of us looking for free!

Woohoo! I finally did the CIP 2 for my DH and he was instantly approved! CIP 1 was with our business and this was with his "business". My plan is to alternate between our "business" and business for the apps. I cancelled his CIP 1 about a month ago. Now to get it expedited!

Congrats! I just referred DH for CIP2 this morning also. Instant approval with $6000 CL (first one was $9000 but I have since lowered it to $2000).

I was holding out because I just got a CSP a couple of weeks ago, but after booking airbnb's for our Portland/Seattle trip, I am well on my way to meeting that MSR. DH just took his 11 year old car into the shop and I figure that will cost $$$. I am going for expedited too!

After over 2 months, still no 80K SkyMiles from my AMEX
No 80k pending yet on my CIP when spend was met 6/29 (has anyone ever NOT gotten their bonus??)
Ordered $1275 in Disney cards from Sams, says order was delivered. The envelope (and the invoice) had 1 $50 card!!!

OH MY GOSH! Let us know what they say. I've ordered tons of Disney cards from Sams and never had any issues. Did it seem like the envelope was tampered with?

Sometimes URs go pending in afternoon, evening. So check in throughout the day!

Because I just had my husband fly nonstop on a Delta flight to BOS and pay more than $200 for the flight and Amex hates me and wants to go after me personally.

I had shipped something from Ebay, paying with CIP through paypal for 3x URs. I had to refund and re-buy label because I didn't get it sent and god forbid I wasn't going to deal with the wrath of my USPS employees over the wrong ship date Noticed that both times I paid for the label I got my 3x URs, but the refund only subtracted 1x URs... lol

You've sure had more than your fair share of frustrations lately! Hope you can get the gift cards figured out without too much hassle and that those URs go pending today, especially since you did the Great Southern Bank funding after I said it worked for me.

I got the regular UR's for that, and I know 100% that it's not a cash advance, as my limit states right there it's only $100, I would think that it's working?
