Sister Wives, First Times and Lots of Wine/An Epic Girls Trip...Updated 8/13

Of all the times I have thought about pole dancing on the Monorail poles, but was always surrounded by other guests so I never did and y'all got the chance to. The jealousy. I bow to thee.

How awesome that you got to meet the Trackers! I've been here for two weeks and have not seen hide nor hair of either of them. Probably because I move so quickly on my days off I never notice people lol

The Illuminations Cruise that Didn't...

It was starting to get late at this point and our epic group had somewhere very important to be...We were taking 2 boats out for an Illumination's Cruise. I think I can speak for everyone in saying that we were all so excited about this because it had been announced that illuminations would be ending. I think this was an EPIC way for all of us to say goodbye...So we all arrived at the resort and agreed it was a great idea to grab drinks at Hurricane Hannahs before our cruise. Well, we ordered drinks and managed to cram into 2 tables with umbrellas. Good thing because it started to rain...But not only did it begin to rain, but it POURED. It STORMED!!! The lightening was downright SCARY!!!! But, the best part of being stuck in a thunderstorm with friends is being stuck in a thunderstorm with friends drinking Sangria from a box. Yep, classy as always. That's what the bar had, so that's what some of us drank. So, I guess you can all guess what came next...our cruise was canceled...:sad::sad:

As the rain started to lighten, our epically sad group made a run for cover inside the Yacht Club where some of us took out our sorrow in drinks at the lobby bar (the name escapes me at this point)...Yes, I was one of those very sad peeps. Kari and I split something, but I have no idea what it was...I do know that when we Minnie vanned it back to the WL, I took the rest of my drink with me in a to-go cup...This was also my very first ride in a Minnie van and it is the best way to travel in Disney in my opinion. I can guarantee I will be utilizing it again...

11 of us decided to keep the party going at the WL inside the Territory Lounge...That lovely group would be @fallonkendra her husband, Luke, @Elevationist @IowaTater @kastoney @ariane37 her husband, Steve, @pepperandchips her husband, R, Joe and myself. Joe ordered a whiskey flight and surprise, surprise, I had another glass of Sangria. I also had another plate of nachos and a bowl of that delicious mushroom soup. Joe had the sliders again. We all laughed and had a great time together. As we were getting ready to leave, this guy walked up to us and asked if he could eat our leftovers...Yep, only in Disney...Anyway, we were all a bit stunned. Then, he decided it would be a great idea to join in some of our pics...Notice the look on my face in our group photo...I think that says it all...

How fun that you met Tim and Jenn! I've been following them for quite some time and am super happy for them!

A to-go cup in a Minnie van?! Is that even legal? lol (I'm thinking not but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do I guess lol.:cool1:)

That was so weird about the guy asking to finish your food! Disney can be expensive haha

We had such a good time on our trip but this was definitely the BEST day!!!! I mean between pole dancing, drinking, Terry, and becoming locked in sister wives bond for eternity may just be the best day of my life :earboy2:

All I can do is laugh at your posts and pictures, so funny!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It was a bummer to have our cruised canceled!

We had to do it. The poles and the empty monorail were calling to us!!!!
It was sad that our cruise was canceled!!!! I think that was the one thing everyone wanted to do!!!

Well DUH! That was by far my favorite day too! We laughed so much and had such a great time!!!!! We DEFINITELY have to get together in August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a shame about your Illuminations cruise! I'm glad you had a fun time regardless.

Did you have much trouble catching a Minnie Van? I've read on other reports that it was difficult to call one and the only way they managed to get a Minnie Van was by chasing it down when it dropped off other guests and then coordinated with that driver to capture it in the Lyft app. Was that your experience as well or did you have an easier way to call a Minnie Van?

Ours went very smoothly. We actually needed 2 vans, and 1 had to be handicap accessible. So, we made a call, waited a bit, received a text that they were there and voila...So, yes, pretty easy.

As luck would have it, we had our own monorail car. Are they cars? Is that what you call them???
Cars. I mean... if they're called cars on a train, surely their cars on a monorail?
Anyway, since we had our own car, Kari and I decided to get our inner pole dancer selves on...There are really no words, as the pictures speak for themselves...Hey, we had a good time!!! No judgment!!!!
The scary thing is that we hadn't even started drinking yet...
OMG
:rotfl:
We shared the fried green tomatoes, smoked salmon stack, the cider flight and a Caribe Strawberry Rose Hard Cider. This late in the game I just remember everything tasting very good.
I wanted to try all of those... and wound up trying none!

Yes, I'd heard that. Sucks.
surprise, surprise, I had another glass of Sangria.
Shocking!!
a bowl of that delicious mushroom soup.
Oh! I'd heard about the mushroom soup and that it was discontinued at Artist Point... but you can still get it! Good!
As we were getting ready to leave, this guy walked up to us and asked if he could eat our leftovers...Yep, only in Disney..
 He did what??????
Then, he decided it would be a great idea to join in some of our pics...Notice the look on my face in our group photo...I think that says it all...
 Yes it does!

Update: Had a monorail cabin to myself today on the way to the TTC so I pole danced for a second and upset a friend who is a monorail cast member lol It was great but I needed someone to take better photos of it.
This is great to hear!!! Love it!!!!

Your F&G adventure sounds absolutely fabulous and perfect even with the rain!

What a bummer that the cruise was canceled. it does sound like you all made the best of it though!!

Hee! Hee!

Those pics on the monorail are hilarious! Very cool getting to meet the Trackers!
We had an empty car, so we took advantage of it. HAHAHA!
The Trackers were so very nice!!!!

Stinks that your cruise was cancelled :(
It really does!!!!

It was honestly one of my favorite days.

It really was a bummer, but we made the most of it at Ale and Compass and back at Territory Lounge. I believe our group closed down GP 2 nights and TL 1 night... :rotfl2:

I mean, honestly! Who does that??? We were all pretty irritated!!!

Brunch at the Top Came Next...

If I remember correctly, we were able to sleep in a bit this morning which was really nice. I'm not a morning person and these early mornings were killing me...Even at Disney, I like to sleep in...

Joe and I met Ariane, Steve, Kelly and sister wife, Kari at the boat dock. We took a few pics and enjoyed a nice, leisurely ride over to the Contemporary Resort. (Notice Steve and Joe's matching Tommy Bahama's???? Yep, Ariane and I planned it that way. Come on, the 2 of them are super cute, matching, Italian studs. They were good sports about it and even did some posing of their own)... :rotfl2:  :rotfl2:

When we arrived at brunch, we were greeted with champs and taken to our table. Ours was next to a window overlooking the Magic Kingdom and MK Resort area. It was so nice having a beautiful, quiet restaurant to enjoy brunch with such an awesome group of friends. It was another great group meet up and I really appreciate all the work that went into planning such an awesome trip. So, another shout out to @chunkymonkey @Lesley Wake and @fallonkendra :wave::wave:

I started with a Bloody Mary and was given a lesson on how they are made, which was very cool. Honestly, this is the BEST Bloody Mary I have ever had. I then helped myself to my first buffet plate of sushi, a yogurt parfait, and a mini frittata. My second plate consisted of some charcuterie, the bacon, and eggs salad and more of that yummy sushi. For my entree, I had the Chef's Omelette Station, with cheddar, mushrooms, and bacon. Joe had the Grilled Hanger Steak, two Eggs Any Style, Chimichurri, Marble Potato Hash and Charred Red Onion. We both enjoyed our meals immensely. For dessert, we all shared a plate of the mini desserts.

It was now time to part ways for a bit...But stay tuned...Joe enjoys his first hair cut on Main Street and how do we spend our last evening in Disney before we head to St Pete????
