Finally catching up on today’s chatter.
I have a Marriott question: We are planning on Aruba in March, staying 5 nights at the Marriott Stellaris. It looks like it is 50K points /night, 5th night free. But...if I want to apply my 50K FN certificate, the 5th night free disappears. It still costs 200K points . Anyway to use the FN certificate and still get the 5th night free?
Otherwise I guess I’ll use it for a 35k night somewhere else.

We’re planning on going Friday to activate our APs. If we want to do it at Epcot can we park in the lot with just our voucher? I’m assuming no. If not, we’ll probably park at BW or BC and then move to the Epcot parking lot after activating them.

Ps-it’s so fun that I can make FPS whenever now lol
Tuna is people food 🤷‍♀️ But desperate times call for desparate measures. When our dog was very ill. I fed her anything. Any.Thing. I cooked for her, tried to entice her to eat any food we had, bought the crappiest food from Walmart (even though DH sells premium dog food for a living) It worked enough that she survived and made it through her illness. I know your cats aren’t sick but they are stressed.
Hey, I make premium (and crappy) pet food for a living! Lol
Haha well thank you. I can’t decide which to do: mk or Epcot. I’d much rather go ride some rides at mk but I don’t want to deal with crowds leaving the park and if we go during the day it’ll be hotter than hades. I have an adr at San angel (never eaten there) at 5:30 pm and two FPS after that. I’m guessing we should just keep this but I wanna ride the mountains lol
Ha I was gonna ask what time. We are planning on epcot Friday night after our tour

I totally agree with @Albort that for us (DW and I), a second CSR became redundant, and it's a $450 (effective $150) AF that we didn't need to be paying.

We had DW keep her CSR because Chase likes her (and Amex didn't), but also because the CSR's 3x UR categories fit well with her two biggest areas of spend, dining and travel. We consolidate all our URs onto only one CSR (DW's) to have the ability to redeem at 1.5x on the Chase travel portal. We have DW's CSR linked to my CIP if we need to transfer URs to my CIP to transfer to my frequent flier or hotel loyalty programs. My CIP also gets me 3x UR on travel. We don't need 2 CSRs to accomplish the redemptions we do, and can save on the AF. I gave up 3x UR on dining with the CSR, but I have an Amex Gold card that earns me 4x MR on dining (and grocery). The Amex Gold matches better with my spend, since I tend to order out or take out (those Grubhub credits have been coming in handy), and I do most of my family's grocery shopping. For restaurants that don't take Amex (and won't earn me 4x MR on my Gold), I have my CIC for 2x UR dining, or VCG/MCGCs usually bought at 4x or 5x UR/MR on hand. (Of course, I'll focus on category bonuses only when I don't need that spend towards an MSR.) I also lost the CSR's Priority Pass, but had Priority Pass access through my Amex Platinum. (Many other cards offer Priority Pass access.) Although Amex is cutting off access to restaurants on their Priority Passes effective August, we rarely utilize the restaurant benefit on my Amex-issued Priority Pass anyway because we much prefer the Centurion Lounge that my Platinum gets me into.

Hope that sheds some light.

Absolutely yes it does. Thank you!

That's pretty nuts---I just checked a Saturday night during spring break season and it's $209 for a king, $218 for 2 queens.
That makes more sense. I swear I saw a price like that yesterday so maybe they’re just playing games with the price. :)

Yeah - All this Universal stuff I'm booking now is in November. I'm booking it with the CSR but when we travel I will have already downgraded that card to a CF back in September.
That is something we want to do as well. Never been to universal or stayed at one of their resorts.

I have told my kids from day one "you touch it, its yours" ponder your selection before you touch.
Exactly. I catch my son touching anything, he eats it. It’s why he doesn’t get to go to the buffet alone. Gotta keep my eyes on him.

I remember. Our old dog is on prescription food now. Tried weaning her off, she didn’t do well. So I’m stuck ordering from the vet, who orders from the manufacturer, who ships it to the warehouse DH works at, who ships it (not delivers it) to the vet where I pick it up. Because it is prescription, DH is not allowed to pick it up, so I wait a week for food that is literally in the same building as DH.

LOL I am a product of my germaphobe parents, so my family is fine with it.

I always wonder what housekeeping must think when they see this/do turndown. The remote always stays in the baggie so I guess they're cool with it :thumbsup2
My kids are growing up to be germaphobes as well. Dh and I both are serious hand-washers, wipe down the plane before we touch anything people and we’d rather fall down the stairs than touch the handrail lol.

Wow, and I thought my process of getting prescription dog food was complicated! It's definitely worth it though. My dog used to have terrible skin issues and she has been doing so well on the prescription diet!

She is soooo dramatic. She’s a very sweet little cat but she’s definitely convinced she’s dying in the car. Her and my dog love each other but even he was looking at her like “wow you have taken this to another level.”

My cat is the same way, literally he would rather die than leave the house or ride in the car. When we did the two hour move to our new home he cried for about the first hour, then urinated-of course since it wasn't a long drive he was in a plastic laundry basket (his preferred method of travel instead of a carrier). Yeah it was a mess... We have been in our current place for about two years and he has only been out a handful of times and he cries the entire time. I've had him for exactly four years this month. Hopefully my picture works...cat1.jpg he is a weird one ❤

I noticed this today too. I’m thinking of booking the 5 days and calling to apply the 50k certificate. I did it that way before when you couldn’t add the certificate yourself (plus mine was expiring) and the points went back in my account when the cert was applied.

Me too with the handrails! The kids love touching them even when they don't need do. It drives me nuts! Guess I take after my germaphobe mom. The kids take after DH who subscribes to the belief that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. 🤣
