Glad you are enjoying 'our' resort! I think a few of us on here are Boardwalk owners. I usually stay there at at least twice a year since I bought in 2000. I've never had a bad stay!
I don't know how big your wedding is going to be or what the parameters are. Wait - you are at Grand Floridian for that, correct? I was going to say check out the Attic - it's a room used for gatherings.
Boardwalk is better of course
I got this the other day and was approved a few hours later!uggg don't think citi likes me. Just applied and got the 7-10 day notice. now hoping staples does a fee free mastercard deal ASAP
How about Easy A?
I actually thought about doing sea breeze point and have the reception somewhere in this area but I felt with the unpredictable weather I wanted to do it inside and the wedding pavilion was the only option. we are then just doing the reception in a ballroom at the grand Floridian so people don’t need to travel.
I got one saying I was approved, but not one right after I submitted my application.does citi email you your status? I haven't received any emails just wondering if they do. chase sends an email stating they received your application.

For MR offers, for instance I used the Ralph Lauren spend $250 get 5000 MRs, should the MRs posted quickly like the $ back typically do? I received the email that I redeemed the offer on 5/13, the charge posted on 5/13 but still no MRs. Unlike my eBags transaction- email on 5/13, charge posted on 5/13 and $20 refund on 5/15. This is the first MR offer I have redeemed.
I like that the beach club is closer to Epcot and the Yatchsman and the pool, but ugh cape may stinks up the place and walking back from the boat I hold my nose. I hate seafood lol.
I like the boardwalk because of ample hills and if we buy dvc it’s cheaper than the beach club. I think we may do a small 50 point contract here and maybe 150 at the poly.

Thanks. Yes, they are backdated just like my eBags since I made the purchases within minutes of each other and they both shipped the following day si expected the points at the same time as my $20 refund. I’ll follow up with them on chat later since that was Wed.Yes, MRs from AOs are supposed to post within 2-3 days of the qualifying charge posting. I redeemed the RL offer, and the MRs posted 2 days after the charge actually posted.
Do your charges actually post to your online statement the same day as your purchase? Or are they backdated? I ask because I made my RL purchase on 4/25 but remember the charge remained pending for days. When I check back now, the RL charge is dated as posted on 4/25 and the MRs appear on my Rewards tab as earned on 4/27. I know that the RL charge did not actually post on 4/25, and suspect it was backdated to the date of purchase.
I'd give yourself ~2-3 days from when the RL charge actually posted for the MRs to post.
For all those trying to match citi AA pts on card #2 and above using a public offer, there’s a disturbing new DP on reddit about not only NOT getting a match, but having the original SUB removed as well:

This, combined with the previous rumblings of not having the bonus attached via public link in the first place is worrying. I know @SouthFayetteFan said not to panic... trying very hard not to.
I hope you will share the photos with us. It sounds amazing!
Last November I watched a wedding at See Breeze Point (from a respectful distance down on a bench at the bottom of the hill). The bride arrived in Cinderella's carriage with the 6 white horses and the footmen. It came down the hill from the Epcot gate area - probably was staged in that area next to the bathrooms. The attendants were in gold dresses and jackets which I personally thought were not that attractive, but the overall scene was pretty impressive. I sat and enjoyed the music (3 piece) and the pageantry for a while. The nice thing about the Boardwalk area is you can be there and feel 'away' from the parks, but still have them at your finger tips. Plus if you want to get styled up for a dinner and wear heels, it's not that hard to make it to France, or if not something in Epcot, one of my faves - Flying Fish or Yachtsman.
And, the Wedding Pavilion is gorgeous! I like the spa there also - since it is right across from the villas, I've been in a couple of times.
They won’t send it “soon” if you’re approved. Sadly, Citi is super slow, 10 days for the card and you’ll get an envelope full of the T&C first.thanks hopefully and that I can get the card soon. Would like to take advantage of the plastiq 1% with this
