Sounds like the perfect birthday breakfast to me!

even need to read much farther; loved it to pieces, it was pretty much perfection, and I will be doing my best to end up here at some point on my trip in NINE days.

Where did we go? Here's a clue, and it wasn't the TS restaurant:

tuttogusto-jpg.396453
This... I want to do this on our next adults only trip! For sure!!! Can't wait to see the rest of the food pics!

I told @Jenny Sanders we would stalk them until she could get close enough and then I'd snap a picture. I'll do the same for you too lol!
YES!! This is an excellent plan :)

But this morning WAS the actual day and let me tell you, there is absolutely something over the moon magical about spending your birthday in Disney
I CAN. NOT. WAIT. to spend my birthday there!!! Cinco de Mayo, or as I like to call it, Cinco de ME-o! :)

Here we are in all our glory!
OMG thanks :o for this very scary picture of myself lol!

ut I heard that Touring Plans later rated this day a 10/10 for crowds. They must have all been as excited to wish you a Happy Birthday as we were :)
Wow, but I believe it being a holiday weekend. It was almost as busy as MLK weekend! But my birthday IS a more popular holiday.......

Cheese and bread?! Those are like two of my main food groups
Right? There is NOTHING wrong with this combination!

So excited to hear more about your lunch. Shame on me for constantly waltzing right past this place! :sad2:
I think it's because most of us are conditioned to eat either TS or QS, and this is neither. Seriously, as silly as it may sound. It's also not a lounge that gets talked about often like Nomad or Trader Sam's so I understand why it's overlooked a lot, even by us! But not anymore :thumbsup2

Happy birthday trip report style, 3 months late and with no alcohol cause they haven’t figure out how to do that via iPhone yet, but give them time give them time.
 Love this! :thanks:

I am a stronger believer that everything tastes better one of two ways in a Yankees cup or Mickey shaped... just saying, if you disagree you're just wrong.
I definitely agree with Mickey shaped! I admit I'm not a baseball fan :duck:however being from NY if I had to root for a team it would be the Yankees :)

We went to Tutto Gusto to escape the rain, and it was so cute! I wish we had eaten there (it was strictly a wine stop for us).
So glad you went! I started reading your TR by the way just haven't gotten to comment yet, but I will. At least now you know to go back and eat next time!

Tutto Gusto looks great! Can't wait to hear about the rest of it!
Hopefully coming up soon! I'm still amazed at how impressed we were.

This... I want to do this on our next adults only trip! For sure!!! Can't wait to see the rest of the food pics!
DO IT! There and Jock's, they'll be the first 2 places I hit up the first 2 chances I get!

YES!! This is an excellent plan
:worship:

Cinco de Mayo, or as I like to call it, Cinco de ME-o! :)
:rotfl2:This is how I"m forever going to think of 5/5 now!!

Lol, Disney birthdays are the best - I spent a solo birthday in MK, and gave myself a present in Cinderella's Castle :)
That sounds like heaven! We did eat at BOG the night before we left back in 2014 when we were there for my almost birthday so that was nice, and I got a card signed by Belle and Beast :goodvibes Not sure how Beast managed with those gigantic paws but I'm 100% HE DID SIGN IT lol!

Hi all, welcome to another weekend! Before I finish Tutto Gusto I have a little announcement:
Last night we booked flights or a
4th of July trip to Disney!!!!!!
:smickey::smickey::smickey::smickey::smickey::smickey:

This will be all of our 1st time being there for the 4th AND, our first time staying here:

cont3.jpg

That's right, I'm knocking a holiday and the last deluxe resort off my list! Well technically I still need to stay at Bay Lake but to me it's kind of the same thing lol. We're going the 3-8th and while I don't book FP's until next Friday (while I'm on our EPIC girls trip) and have only made one ADR for the Plaza, I know we'll be in the MK for the 4th. And our plan is to hit up Jock Lindsay's when we arrive!!!

In other news as mentioned our EPIC DIS Girls' trip is only days away for all of us!! Five for me :thumbsup2 I arrive on the 2nd and Steve comes in on the 3rd. I cannot for the life of me remember if I gave you all a rundown of where we're eating so I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself, but old folks do that:

2nd: no set plans but I'm doing DAH at MK with some find DIS ladies!
3rd: Satuli Canteen for lunch and later, F&G eats with Steve, @Jenny Sanders and her DH and I believe @buzzrelly
4th: Breakfast at BOG with Jenny and Joe followed by more F&G eats and lots and lots of :drinking1with the group! Not sure what else but most of us will be cruizin' later when we do the Illuminations Cruise
5th: Something I am SO looking forward to, brunch at Cali Grill! Then later after some HS fun with @kastoney and @buzzrelly we will once again join Jenny and Joe for dinner at another new to us restaurant, Flying Fish.

In between we have lots of other super fun stuff planned :goodvibes BTW if you happen to hear about any big commotions or kerfuffle's at Geyser Point the beginning of May - it's probably us :tiptoe:

Oh one other thing, while I did buy quite a few new clothes for the trip Steve only bought one:
IMG_1514.JPG

It's loud and he's proud! I was so sure both the boys would tease him about it but surprisingly Ricky loves it and wanted one. So today I got it for him at Kohl's and I must say I'm pretty freakin' happy that he wants a Disney shirt. This will come in handy if we do a signature in July ;)

Trifecta Trip #2 (but really #3)
Happy Surprise Birthday To Me!

And a big Italian Thumbs Up to Prosciutto
Going back to my last post, we were digging in to our first plate when your second was delivered:

Meatballs Parmigianapane di casa, tomato, mozzarella cheese

IMG_1183.JPG

Yes these are meatballs, but SO incredible. Not to mention the sauce which was exactly how we both love it, not too sweet and not too tomato-ey! I do love meatballs but don't usually order them out but we were fighting over who was finishing these. Even the bread was delicious but I tried not to eat too much because I wanted to focus on #meatsandcheeses.

As we indulged in food and drink our 3rd and final plate came:
La Maiala (for two)
Prosciutto di Parma - Emilia Romagna - aged dry cured ham
Finocchiona - Toscana - fennel and pepper flavored salame
Salametto - Veneto - small, dried spiced pork sausages

IMG_1184.JPG
I so wish this wasn't blurry! When I tell you this was the absolute best prosciutto we've ever had I am not kidding and we've eaten LOTS of it. Sometimes I think its too stringy and believe it or not, occasionally I think it's not salty enough! This was so amazingly melt in your mouth it was unbelievable. I think we looked at each other like :worship: we'd found the holy grail!! Again we fought over who got the last piece lol. The salame and sausages were delicious as was everything else but that prosciutto man, that stuck out and I can still taste it! I cannot, cannot say enough about this place. From the atmosphere to the drinks to the food and including the staff we had a stellar experience and it was a highlight of our trip. So glad we found it!!

Our server asked if we wanted to try any dessert and while the cannoli, tiramisu, and other assorted Italian beauties were tantalizing we were stuffed. Until this happened:

IMG_1226.JPG

IMG_1186.JPG
And how can you say no to a free birthday dessert handed to you along with singing CM's? I took a few bites (maybe more than a few) as it was a good solid chocolate lava cake, and with that we said "ciao!" to our new favorite place in Epcot.

We spent some more time in Epcot enjoying the sights and some entertainment. We also couldn't leave our last day there without a little sunshine in a glass:

ggs.jpg

In case you couldn't tell it was hot that day. So far my birthday was shaping up great; stay tuned for the end of our last park day and my birthday dinner. In the meantime enjoy your weekend!

Yay! That's so exciting! I love The CR and you will LOVE being able to walk back there after the MK fireworks on the 4th ::yes:: I'll be following your trip closely since we will be going over the 4th next July :thumbsup2

That's adorable. I can't believe you found it at Kohls. We have looked at the Disney shirts like that for men (they have REALLY cute ones in The Poly), but they are crazy expensive. I'm going to have to check out Kohls :goodvibes

Going back to my last post, we were digging in to our first plate when your second was delivered:

Those look good. I find it very hard to get good meatballs out so I usually don't order them.

Our server asked if we wanted to try any dessert and while the cannoli, tiramisu, and other assorted Italian beauties were tantalizing we were stuffed. Until this happened:

Fun! That place has not been on my radar and I love Italian food. I may have to check it out!

See you in 6 days!

Wow! You sure have a lot of stuff planned with that Jenny and Joe! LOL!!! Umm, and don't forget the Rhino Tour and breakfast at WCC...Honestly. I can't wait to see you and Steve!!!! These next few days will fly...

Last night we booked flights or a
4th of July trip to Disney!!!!!!
That is awesome. The CR is a great resort to stay at for the 4th - transportation worries at the end of the fireworks show. :)
We did a 4th of July trip at the BC a couple of years ago and it was a lot of fun. We couldn't do a return trip this year but hopefully we can make it work next year. Disney really spoils you for fireworks and the little local fireworks displays can't even come close to what Disney can do.

Well technically I still need to stay at Bay Lake but to me it's kind of the same thing lol.
It's close enough for me. I wish the DVC studios had king beds instead of queens. It would make them a little more appealing.

our EPIC DIS Girls' trip is only days away for all of us!! Five for me :thumbsup2 I arrive on the 2nd and Steve comes in on the 3rd.
That trip sounds like it will be a lot of fun. And the WL will be a great place to stay, too. :)

Oh one other thing, while I did buy quite a few new clothes for the trip Steve only bought one:
I like Steve's taste in Disney shirts. I can see him at Citricos or Narcoossees in that shirt. :)

And how can you say no to a free birthday dessert handed to you along with singing CM's? I took a few bites (maybe more than a few) as it was a good solid chocolate lava cake, and with that we said "ciao!" to our new favorite place in Epcot.
That is a cute picture of you. We have never stepped foot inside of Tutto Gusto but I know that Dana would love those meatballs. We might have to give it a try.

YEAH!!!! This will be fun!!! And you can't go wrong with the Plaza.

Only because you didn't suggest it, did he want it.

Our server asked if we wanted to try any dessert and while the cannoli, tiramisu, and other assorted Italian beauties were tantalizing we were stuffed. Until this happened:

img_1226-jpg.397177

All of the food looks amazing and I def think I want to do this in October!

Is it bad, that the biggest reason I want a sit down meal on Morgan's birthday THIS friday, is so she gets this? A birthday CM singing?

Today was our last full February day but also the BEST day - my birthday party:In 2014 we were in Disney right BEFORE my birthday but left on the 18th, so 2 days before the actual DAY. But this morning WAS the actual day and let me tell you, there is absolutely something over the moon magical about spending your birthday in Disney  I'll take CM's and happy strangers telling me "happy birthday" as often as I can!
Nothing better indeed!!! And so happy it was a good one. We'll be down there in August but missing my birthday by a few days.

Yum!!! These look so good. I think beignets and the boat to Disney Springs are the reason I wanted to stay at POFQ so much!

Albeit one in which I looked horrific and strangely cannot find :rolleyes1
Strange how that happens. Same thing occurred in the picture I took with Jenny.

img_1173-jpg.396390

Hello, lovely. I'm sure you all recognize this from earlier in the report, but for a refresher this was the "special" festival Bloody Mary at Refreshment Port over in World Showcase:
Oh this was SO GOOD!!!! Hoping the replacement at least has the same flavor profile

img_1174-jpg.396391

First of all, do you not love the top? Second of all, this was SO good! The best offering from the festival that we had tried by a landslide. Bread was crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside and did not get too soggy from the cheese. The cheese itself was perfect brie-ness to the point that we were fun-fighting over who got the last couple bites.
Man. I so wanted to try this but Jason made fun of me for wanting to pay whatever it was for bread with cheese inside. So regretting not getting it.

Sort of full from the BM
Funny, I thought this usually had the opposite effect :P

I don't know why I expected it to be empty, maybe because you never hear much about it? And despite the picture above it was not empty. When we arrived all the tables above were taken so I took this once they'd left. On the other hand you aren't packed tightly in there nor does it get loud even with almost every table taken.
I had the exact opposite idea and figured it would be crowded since its one of the few places you don't need a reservation for. Totally have to check this place out as it is most definitely by vibe. Its like Epcots Nomad's!

This looks and sounds amazing!!! Is that mozzarella the eggplant is inside?

cont3-jpg.397139

Sometimes I think its too stringy and believe it or not, occasionally I think it's not salty enough! This was so amazingly melt in your mouth it was unbelievable.
Ok now I really have to go. I so LOVE prosciutto. Jason even bought me a whole leg of it once for Christmas!!!

Oh you look so happy! What a wonderful way to spend your birthday. Once of these days we'll have to do your and Caseys birthday together down there

there is absolutely something over the moon magical about spending your birthday in Disney

We've been on our actual anniversary but no birthdays one day :goodvibes

Attractive and delicious ahhhh bread and cheese

Pomegranate Cosmopolitan

Love these it's our go to drink in St Augustine

So deelish I had 3 :thumbsup2

Well it is your birthday ;)

Love the look of this place and these plates

This will be all of our 1st time being there for the 4th AND, our first time staying here:

Perfect location!

Love the shirt :thumbsup2

Yay to a summer trip! We stayed at CR in the garden wing in 2015 and I loved it, our room was big and we were exactly 0.5 miles from the center of FL at MK, can’t beat that! This is where Andi wanted to stay this summer, I just couldn’t find a rate less than ours for YC/GF split stay in August.

What a wonderful Birthday, I would love to spend my actual Birthday in Disney! It’s always a plus to find a new delicious eating place, yum! You look so cute sitting in the restaurant having the CM’s sing to you!

See you real soon!:dumbo:

I love The CR and you will LOVE being able to walk back there after the MK fireworks on the 4th ::yes::
I know how much you love it :goodvibes I do think we'll like it because of the location and our room is lake view too. I don't expect it to replace WL as my #1 but maybe GF as #2?

'll be following your trip closely since we will be going over the 4th next July :thumbsup2
Awesome!

I can't wait for this!
I can't wait for the whole trip

That's adorable. I can't believe you found it at Kohls
I saw it online and was really surprised to actually find it in the store! Steve did order his online but I got Ricky's at the store and you definitely should go, they have a Marvel one, a cute Lion King one and also a SW one :thumbsup2

That place has not been on my radar and I love Italian food. I may have to check it out!
You should! Everyone should lol

See you in 6 days!
4 now :cheer2:

Wow! You sure have a lot of stuff planned with that Jenny and Joe
Yeah and we don't even know them :rotfl2:

I love the Contemporary! While I've never stayed there, I've spent some time there doing what I do best... eating!
Ha! Same here, over the years we've eaten at every restaurant there except the quick serve which I hear is really good too so I'll definitely be sure to try it!

Wow, what a wrap-up to your lunch! This place really sounds amazing!
OMG it was incredible and you should go! Try to go in August :thumbsup2

The CR is a great resort to stay at for the 4th - transportation worries at the end of the fireworks show. :)
Yes, just as our NYE stay at the Poly will be convenient transportation wise! You know I'd always want to be at WL but sometimes it just makes sense to be somewhere else and I do want to knock this off my list :goodvibes

Disney really spoils you for fireworks and the little local fireworks displays can't even come close to what Disney can do.
Isn't that the truth??? I can never get the boys to watch any local fireworks and we can see 3 different "shows" from our yard! Steve and I will watch just to confirm they're just "eh". Only Disney people understand this!

I like Steve's taste in Disney shirts. I can see him at Citricos or Narcoossees in that shirt. :)
::yes:: I believe for our trip this week Steve and Mr. @Jenny Sanders will be wearing a Tommy Bahama Mickey shirt they both have to either Cali Grill brunch or Flying Fish so we can enjoy them being twins

We have never stepped foot inside of Tutto Gusto but I know that Dana would love those meatballs. We might have to give it a try.
Oh please try it! It's so peaceful surprisingly and SO good :goodvibes

We'll be down there in August but missing my birthday by a few days.
Um yes, I know this  :love2:

I think beignets and the boat to Disney Springs are the reason I wanted to stay at POFQ so much!
I would stay there again for these two reasons :thumbsup2

Strange how that happens. Same thing occurred in the picture I took with Jenny.
SO weird right? I wonder if it'll happen to any pics we take next weekend? We'll have to "discuss" if any need to disappear.....

Oh this was SO GOOD!!!! Hoping the replacement at least has the same flavor profile
So do it, fingers crossed!

Man. I so wanted to try this but Jason made fun of me for wanting to pay whatever it was for bread with cheese inside. So regretting not getting it.
Tell Jason it's another reason we deserve each other and if we do ever vacation together it's going to be all bread and cheese (and adult beverages) all day for these sanitation ladies

otally have to check this place out as it is most definitely by vibe. Its like Epcots Nomad's!
Ooh I love that, the Nomad of Epcot

This looks and sounds amazing!!! Is that mozzarella the eggplant is inside?
Sadly no it's just a white bowl, but I like the way you think! We need to try to get here together.

Ok now I really have to go. I so LOVE prosciutto. Jason even bought me a whole leg of it once for Christmas!!!
Hmm, was that presented in a gift bag or professionally wrapped :scratchin

Oh you look so happy! What a wonderful way to spend your birthday. Once of these days we'll have to do your and Caseys birthday together down there
I would love that! Seriously. Then of course Casey and I would have to spend a day birthday shopping party:

Love these it's our go to drink in St Augustine
Ooh that's good to know! I visited St. Augustine years ago when I was in college and loved it and would really like to go back again.

Love the shirt :thumbsup2
:thanks: and now Ricky has his too lol!

We stayed at CR in the garden wing in 2015 and I loved it, our room was big and we were exactly 0.5 miles from the center of FL at MK, can’t beat that!
I told the boys how close it is (because they never pay attention to these details when we're there) so they're both looking forward to trying it. Ricky's happy as long as there's a gym!

I would love to spend my actual Birthday in Disney!
When is it and why don't you????

See you real soon!:dumbo:
Yes I can't wait!!!!!
