We were in room 4084 and I only took one picture of the room and that was the balcony.

There were only trees to look at and the fireworks through the branches of the trees. I could see them while sitting on the bed, but we mostly watched from the club lounge with piped in music. We never made it to the special annual passholder night at MK because of the rain. But we didn't really think we would either. It was just too cozy to stay at the lodge. :)

Our room was just to the right of the totem pole on the 4th floor, above Whispering Canyon Cafe. The stairs to the 7th floor are to the left and you can see how convenient that was to go up that way to the lounge. There were some lively nights at WCC but it always quieted down after 9pm.

We were in 4086 right next door 2 weeks ago!! Loved the location and it was so easy to get to the Lounge using the stairway! :thumbsup2 I do have to say though, I would never want to be in the room on 6 next to that locked gate. I always tried to close it very slowly and quietly!!
I wouldn't want to be in that room on the sixth floor, either. We tried to be quiet when pulling that door shut but it still was a bit noisy.

I have 2 more WL-CL stays booked this year, but bit the bullet and booked the CL room for those stays (May & September).
I really hate the enclosed balconies but I can see why you might want to book the CL room. You get turn down service, chocolates on t he bed, and all the concierge services. We were happy with just getting the flood. And I would book it the same way again, a nature view room overlooking the lobby. :)

I’m enjoying reading all of the very informative posts here. DH and I will be checking in at BRV in late April for a quick two-night stay then heading to a club-level room at the Contemporary for one night. We had to cancel a similar trip last year, so we’re really looking forward to this.

We’re returning to BRV for three nights in late August after 2 nights at BLT. April can’t get here fast enough!

Really pays to keep checking availability. We were booked in Copper Creek Villas Studio for 2 nights of a split stay in September, Boulder Ridge had been my preference, but at 7 months wasn't available..Early this morning, it was available, modify was easy to do on website. Really looking forward to our first stay at BR, we were at Wilderness Lodge about 9 years ago, loved it, haven't even seen BR yet, excited!::yes::

So we are now back to reality, the cold Midwest, and missing the gorgeous Florida weather we enjoyed for almost every day of the trip. It had gotten too windy and chilly to go to Geyser Point on Monday, and too cool and rainy for both the pool and Geyser Point on Tuesday. But the rest of the trip was great. We had a split stay, 4 nights WL, 2 nights BC, only because we couldn't get all 6 nights at WL. We had added club level access to the WL segment and it was great. We really enjoyed our time at WL and to tell the truth, even though we also like the BC, we really missed the WL. The lodge is very peaceful and relaxing, something we really look forward to. We will be back again later in the year with the bounce back reservation I made for another nature view room. :)

I’m so excited to stay at WL in May! I have a split stay booked (4 nights Nature View at WL, then 5 nights Water View at YC) and it will be my first stay at both resorts. My only other Deluxe stays have been twice at BWI, so this will be my first time at a MK area resort. On my last trip, I took the boat from MK after 6pm park close (it was late November) and enjoyed coffee and a pastry from RF. It was so relaxing! I almost hated to leave - especially since I ended up bussing to a jam packed DS. Can’t wait to have 4 full nights to explore and relax.

We walked over to FW during our trip last week and looked around to see if we could see any construction work on the new resort they are planning in the old River Country location. All we saw was additional orange fencing near the FW beach. We took the resort boat back to WL and couldn't see any activity from the boat. I asked the boat driver about it and he said that they have been removing some of the structures from River Country, but as far as he knew, they haven't started to clear the land yet.

They are probably busy finishing up Riviera first.

We had booked a bounce back for the Wilderness Lodge when we were there last week and our dates were August 24th to August 29th. Then I find out that Star Wars will open August 29th - our check out day! So I called and was able to add on two more nights. That was very lucky! So we will have a nature view room from August 24th-31st. At first I wasn't sure that we would keep the August reservation, since August tends to be hot and rainy. But now we are definitely going. :)

Spanning the opening of SWGE seems like best of both worlds—you get to experience it, but you also get the earlier days of the trip to experience a park in which the people are spread only one layer deep.

And you will be able to return to the tranquility that is the WL, too (after the crazy that WILL be SWGE! Ah......

My DD (a CM at WL) tells me that the path between WL and FW recently closed and WL no longer has bikes for rent. That's all the info I have. :(

I tried a few months ago to book a split stay for Poly and WL for 8/27-9/3 and was only able to get WL for 2 nights 9/1-9/3 at passholder rate or the Magic rate so it's interesting you were able to get those nights! We are also now wondering whether to keep reservation we have or to cancel with all the Star Wars madness that I imagine will be throughout the entire resort....so much for 1-4 crowd levels we enjoyed in the past! Hesitate to cancel since I'd like to use my AP and have already have plane tix.

We had reservations originally for Sept 16-22 with the last two nights as our first stay at CCV as DVC owners. Then I added (purposely) 5 nights for the SWGE opening at POP. We would have only been home for 13 days before that next trip so today I extended our first stay and canceled the one later in September. Sadly we lost our 2 nights at CCV because I could not find ANY availability for 2 days in a row for that first week of Sept. I'm on a waitlist but I'm not hopeful. I guess we'll see. I thought it would be nice to have a relaxing 2 nights at CCV because I'm thinking we're going to need it after the madness that will be SWGE! As for the crazy, I'm cautiously optimistic that it won't be nuts all over (but I've been known to be naive)!

We still have 2 nights in December in which to enjoy the Lodge anyway and December trumps September any day in my book :)

I'd bet is has something to do with the construction of the new Reflections resort. That road might be the route for the construction vehicles.
