I love credit cards so much!

Okay now I need some help lol. We were really excited for a CL stay at YC, but we could stay at OKW in a 1 br villa for about $300 less. Idk if the proximity to Epcot and the lounge is worth that $300.

We could also do the cabins at FW for $600 less or Wilderness lodge (woods view) for $422 less.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DOOO!!!!
I am probably the worst person to ask, but I would personally keep the YC reservation. Did you factor meal savings into your cost difference with CL?

If your plans are very Epcot heavy, nothing will be better than that walk through the IG. By the time you can walk from WS to the main entrance to get a bus for OKW, FW, or WL, you could be at your Epcot resort!

I guess I'm still confused why you have to go through that process? Sorry!
Dummy booking offers are unique and different than general public offers. Citi, AMEX, and Chase all do them and sometimes you can find a gem of an offer. (sometimes they are also a major dud so be careful with them).

I don't think you need a 1 bedroom, so I'd scratch that. Is there no cheaper YC room? I love YC/BC! Cabins, blech. I'd prob go WL for the $422 savings. That buys alot of something.

I am very pro split-stay! I've done a 3 night trip with a 2/1 split (BC/CR). If I can walk to a park sign me up!

What do your plans look like? I would personally like BC over CBR. The boats/walking are more enjoyable than busses IMO.

Well, if the 2 resorts were flip flopped I'd do the split for sure. But as it stands our first 2 nights would be better in the mK area and the last 2 in the Epcot area. Unfortunately, thats not what is available.

ETA: Any luck for your dates? I saw some good May deals too...not express deals, just regular.

I agree with @disneymagicgirl. I would not do the cabins but I'd seriously consider WL for $422 less.

Ahh, I hate when the deals don't work like that!

I checked and only see Swan & Dolphin for the first half of my trip. I will keep checking!

Swolphin isn't even coming up for my dates. We'd be good with that. The only resort coming up through regular listings and the mystery deals is WBC. We really want Disney transport though so I don't want to stay there and pay for longer to have the car and park the car.

Does anyone know what the cost for a DCL trip would be per person, per night for say a 7-night caribbean cruise? Eastern or Western. I am trying to compare with the TA pricing I got today for a cruise and just curious if anyone had figured that out.

It's going to vary widely by date and cabin category. You can check prices on the DCL website. Best I've been able to find is Costco with about 8% Costco cash card of the base cruise fare (excludes taxes and port charges). If you find better, let me know! :)

The Disney site isn't letting me price anything so I just wondered if anyone kind of knew already what was a good price, or avg price. But you are right, it does really vary by date and cabin.

Just to be clear, I'm looking at Disney's prices for TA's and wondering what kind of deal it is

Yes, QS, but we find out the location next Monday, hopefully. She hopes for a park.

This is so cool. I have no idea how any of this works. Does she get any choice at all about where she works, what kind of work she does and where she lives, or do they just get an assignment for the program?

Ah, price for TAs, not the price you got from a TA. I've heard that can be quite good. Was the DCL website down? Working for me now with pricing. But very generally, under $5000 would be a good price for me with 2 adults, 2 kids in a balcony cabin, 7 days Caribbean.

ETA:
Remembered I saw a list by category before for a guideline of what's a good price:
Inside - $175 per night, per person, including all fees.
Oceanview - $200 per night, per person, including all fees
Verandah - $225 per person, per night, including fees.

I posted previously that my (DH) SW points from first statement haven't posted to his SW account yet. They statement closed 1/4. SM from Chase is below. What is typical time for posting to SW? I thought only a couple days? I have a flight to book and points are lowest I've seen. I will probably just transfer from Chase but want to minimize if possible!

Rapid Rewards points earned each credit card statement will post at Southwest within 30 days of the statement date.

DH's statement closed 1/5 and he hasn't gotten his points yet either. I do believe they are typically faster than this, but maybe this has something to do with being the start of the new year.

There was a problem with early closing dates last year, which affected @Alexle2007. Their points did not post until later in the month I believe.
Yep, I was stuck in CP envy last year when my statements closed 1/1 and 1/4 and my bonus points didn’t post until much later than the previous months. The points from 1/4 posted first around 1/16 and the points from 1/1 didn’t post until like 1/19. There were few of us commiserating on a separate thread about it since people whose statements closed later than ours had their points (and CP) before us. I think it is an IT issue with them resetting the points to 0 at the beginning of the new year and then playing catch up with bonuses from Chase. A bunch of us had taken to Twitter and FB since it was taking so long...just keep checking a couple of times a day since i’d Expect them to be there shortly.

Want to hear a sad story? I paid my DVC dues with a gift card and the final gift card used had a balance of about 160$ on it. I didn't add it to my online gift card profile yet....and I have NO idea where the card went. I have searched everywhere. I am relatively organized so when something isn't where it should be I don't even know where to start. My gut is telling me that I accidentally threw it away .

I am going to call DVC tomorrow and see if it is at all possible for them to provide me with the card number so that I can submit for a lost card but I am not holding my breath.

I am sad :charac2:

If you paid online you should have a receipt with the card number on it - all except the pin number.

My favorite dummy booking offer was BA back in the day. You started a dummy booking and then the pop up for the cc was 50K Avios for $2k or $3k spend in 3 months and then another 50k Avios after renewing the card a year later.

One of my BFFs is a TA. I recall we were hanging out a WDW a couple of years ago and she got an alert for TA pricing for a 7 day Caribbean DCL cruise that would sail a week or so or before Thanksgiving and it was something between $25 and $50 pp per night. It was already mid to late October when the offer came out. That's the lowest pricing I remember hearing about. If we had not been maxed on vacay time we would have gone with her. I know she did an Alaska DCL cruise for really low pricing too.

Back in October mine posted a few days after... but there was a time period last year when they took a month to post
