OMG!!! My Dh messaged me asking if I ordered a new Apple Watch from Walmart!!! Why would I do that when I just got an apple watch on black friday? Somehow someone got into our walmart account and ordered an apple watch for $529 with my Amex. The dumb part is they shipped it to our house! Why would you use someone else's account to order something and ship it to their house? Doesn't make any sense. Dh changed his password for his Walmart account and we cancelled the order.

I am so proud of myself. So have not gotten into MSing at all. But have this shiny new CIP and wasn't sure how I was going to put $5000 on it. So, DD17 is set up for Venmo. So, I set up an account and then I tried it last night. I sent her $1250 (just some random # - didn't want too small or too big). I put Tuition/Books on it and she got it right away and sent it to her bank account, where I will go and then transfer to my bank account. That was really easy. I know there is a fee but getting 3x points also, so it all washes out.
so this is a thing? I need to give it a try.... I have only used paypal in the past to make actual payments
Bank bonuses still scare me. All this transferring of money and DD and debit card stuff... one day I may venture into that.

Sometimes if you put in 4 you get better availability - a secret I learned on this board! Apparently it has something to do with when you put in two, it only looks at two-tops in the restaurant... so if I have trouble I put 4 people, find a time and confirm, then go in and edit it back to two, that usually works.

I really liked Morimoto as someone who doesn't like Asian food, but I'm interested in reading other people's responses to you. HoB doesn't have our favorite appetizer that we had at our wedding anymore so we haven't been back We are terrible creatures of habit otherwise and usually will hit DS around 10pm after a park close and walk right up to Homecomin'

I had to put my foot down with DH. I am Rainforest'ed out after many years of family vacations - I've done DTD one twice now, Niagara Falls, London, Az, Tn... My MIL kept suggesting Trex for our honeymoon but there were so many other places we didn't make it there... We'll go back with kids someday, I'm certain. But for Landry's I'd rather hit Yak n Yeti or Bubba Gump, I'm a sucker for that chain.

That's one of the best tricks I've learned! And If you can't modify it to two you can just tell them only two when you check in

Wow, that is real dumb... (the person, not your DH!) We has someone do that several years ago on DH’s Kohl’s account where we suddenly received a kitchenaid stand mixer to our house, but what they were doing was buying expensive items and then taking the Kohl’a cash for themselves. But I don’t see how you could do the same scheme with wal mart?

I think @SouthFayetteFan and my DH have something in common there. He was so excited to help my with my budgeting spreadsheet over Christmas. He made pivot tables and drop down boxes and categories and subcategories. He spent a couple days on it. Of course, he was off for over 2 weeks so at that point I think he was bored and excited to have something occupy his time.

The numbers he shows are pretty much what I saw. I remember one night being $38 at a Sheraton property in Braintree, Ma. And I had to sign a form like that. But signing a form was not the norm. Usually it was check in/check out just like a cash Ressie.

Not wanting to scare you, but a couple years ago a friend of mine had this happen - someone ordered a tv to be delivered to his house. He caught it in time and also reported it to the police. The cops told him that when this happens the scumbags will have someone sat outside your house waiting for the delivery truck when they will either snag it off your doorstep or pretend to be the homeowner and sign for it.

So as dumb as it seems - if the victim doesn’t check email often and is at work during the day - it is entirely possible they could get away with it.
