"Official" 2018 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Holiday Magic

We are going the same night. I’m happy I decided to book the party especially now that it looks like it will be chilly. While I’d love that head on view, not having to wait is more important so our plan is to head out around 11:10 based on the crowds. We will have our toddler with us so a lot will depends on how he is doing. Hubby is very excited for the food, I’m very excited for the Prosecco. LOL
Oh, how exciting to have the little one with you! Fond memories for us, when the whole famoly went in 2016. Our nephew’s first time seeing the parade and it was such a magical experience. I had to camp out on main street for an hour and a half for a spot for the second parade.

10 days left for us, my friend! Cheers :)

Definitely reconsidering the Tonys party now that 12/16 has sold out. That cant be a good sign!

Although, just talked to DH and he feels like we should probably keep it because that could be indicative of a busy night altogether.
Are you saying the 12/16 MVCMP has sold out or just the Tony's party?

I actually thought they were more crowded than I expected. Fantasyland was a zoo on Friday
I was in the MK on 11/30 as well and thought it was a zoo too! Way more busy than Touring Plans predicted and more than I was expecting. I still had fun though :)

At tonight’s party. We’re having a good time, but these parties are definitely more crowded than in years past. Tonight is not sold out, but the walkways are full of people in all directions. We just waited in line 15 minutes to get a complimentary pretzel. The line stretched from Tortuga Tavern almost back to Pecos Bills. With that said, lines for the rides haven’t been bad. But there are just so many people here that it takes away some of the relaxed “vibe” the parties used to have.

Attended Tony’s party tonight. What a great time! Not too crowded. Plenty of food and drinks! Great viewing area in front of the tree looking down Main Street. Worth every penny. Finishing off the night with more drinks & a dessert after the parade. Listening to Tony sing. Loved the whole restaurant singing Christmas carols earlier. Incredible!

We just got back to hotel and thought tonight was great. The line at Tortuga was probably the worst line we dealt with. Rode everything we wanted multiple times, which shocked me cause my 4 year old daughter is now a daredevil. Crowds were not bad at all. We got off Buzz and walked right up to hub and had great spot for parade. Went on Big Thunder and walked back and found a spot along fence for fireworks. Weather was great in the day but got cold at night for fireworks. Great party night overall.

Just wanted to share our experience with the 12/6 party, since I can’t seem to fall asleep.

We got to the party around 5:15, after an early dinner at Ohana. Used one fp for Peter Pan’s Flight at 5:40. Our priority was really rides, since this was our only MK day this trip, and we got everything in that we wanted to do. I didn’t really pay attention to posted times, but we never waited more than 15 minutes for anything except 7DMT, which was about a 20-minute wait (we got in line at 11:35 for it). Several rides were walk-ons, with most being less than 10 minute waits (except Space, which was 14 minutes).

We also did several of the treat locations without any significant wait...lines were long but they moved quickly. We did stop for several party-exclusive photos but didn’t do any character meet and greets. Watched the fireworks from in front of Splash Mountain and it wasn’t crowded back there at all. We also managed to get a pretty good spot for the second parade in front of the Frontierland Shooting Arcade just one row of people back from the rope literally as the parade was already going on.

I haven’t been to MVMCP in 20 years so I don’t have anything to compare it to other than a normal day at the park, but it definitely felt super crowded until about 10:30-11:00.

All in all, we had a great time though, despite the crowds. We hit all the rides we wanted to do, got all the snacks we wanted to get, and every CM we encountered was nothing but pleasant and helpful. Would I do it again? Yep, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

What time did you grab your spot for the parade? Thanks.

That Tortuga line got really crazy right after the parade. I went thru it during the parade with no one in front of me. Then went to restroom after I ate it and came out and the line was to Pecos Bills

Treat lines are extremely long. Try them after first parade. Otherwise, it's a waste of time.

Went to the party last night. I had a great time. I didn't think it was crowded.

We did some photopass photos, people mover, space 2x, buzz, little mermaid, Pooh ride, splash 2x, small world, 10pm fireworks, a bunch of treat lines, shopping, and walked up to a second row (behind sitting guests) parade spot 15 minutes before the 11pm parade. It was great!!

10:55pm. But, probably should have gone out 10 minutes sooner to get curb seat( only left side of curb is available to sit- facing Main Street since floats come close to curb near Tony's).
Could you explain this more ? Do you mean you can only sit on the curb on one side of Main St.?
Our last party was 6 years ago and we sat on the right side (looking at castle) curb and enjoyed the snow there.

Well looks like the Tony’s party I have booked, the 16th, is gonna be full. Now I am debating even doing it. Reviews look decent. Decisions..decisions...

How long is mickeys most merriest celebration stage show?? Going tonight and just want to have that clarified please :)

I was having the same dilemma, we are going 12/16 too. But DH figures if its sold out that might mean the party will be pretty busy and if nothing else this guarantees us a parade viewing spot. So we're just going to keep it and make the best of it!

We did the Tony’s party last night and we were very impressed! Loved the food variety and the beer and wine of course. It was nice having somewhere to sit inside since it was a little chilly. Loved that Tony was out singing Christmas carols!

We went out to the reserved area about 10:40 to make sure we got front row curb spots. I was a little worried at first because people were just walking up from the street and sitting on the curb in front of the rope. I got up and asked a CM if they were going to be allowed to sit there and she said no. About 5 minutes before 11 she started walking up and down the street in front of the reserved area kicking people out that didn’t have bracelets. One guy apparently got argumentative about it. I had a great spot close to the confectionary without having to defend it for hours. Although I did end up having to stand because the person beside me decided to angle their body with their back against me and their phone in my face :crazy2:

Anyway, would definitely do it again!

At the center island( where the tree is located, it is roped off for Tony’s) . If you are facing the castle and want to sit on curb, you can only sit on the curb on the left side, or around the side facing Tony’s. The right side directly facing the castle is banned from curb sitting. You can stand anywhere you want within the roped off area. People lined the entire curb in Main Street outside of the private area. The snow flowed throughout the party and we where under it. Awesome!
