Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

It depends on your touring style. I like to leave the hotel by about 8:30 in the morning to go to a park, but by about 3:00 my feet and back hurt so I go back to the hotel to rest. But I would never go back to the hotel just for snacks and drinks if I didn't physically need that break.

Technically there is very little distance between Epcot's International Gateway exit and the beginning of Yacht/Beach Club property. But the distance from wherever you find yourself in Epcot when you decide to take a break (China? Test Track?) to your actual room in the Yacht Club, could take the "fairly convenient" out of your sentence if you just want a snack or a drink and then want to head out again.

Getting back and forth from DHS is even less convenient. It seems like I'm always waiting a long time for the boat. Or if I get right on the boat at DHS, the boat sits there a long time before leaving.

Don't get me wrong, I love staying in the Epcot resort area. For someone like me who gets motion sick easily, being able to walk to Epcot is a big deal. But you might not want to pay extra to stay Club Level because you think it would be fairly convenient to go back and forth between the Club Level Lounge and the parks.

Hope that doesn't sound too negative - just wanted to give you food for thought while your thoughts are on food. (Club Level Lounge food, that is.)

Thanks! No we wouldn't just be heading back to get snacks and drinks, I would be resting for quite a while. I can't go all day and night at the parks anymore! I'm getting too old for that! :D

I understand the distances and time it takes between the parks and the resort. We have stayed at The Swan several times and i know it can take some time to get back and forth to the parks. I think I may just keep my standard room though, now that I have thought about it for a bit!

Hello!

I have Yacht Club booked for just one night at the beginning of our trip next month. Garden or woods view is what I have now, but for $145 more I can upgrade to a standard club level. Would that be worth it for just one night? I have zero experience with club level.

YESSSSSS!!!!

Does anyone know if Vilma is still working over at the YC CL? She used to be over in the club lounge at BC then moved over to YC.

Hey all! Hope everyone is having a great week! Was so wondering if anyone had any room photos/room view from balcony photos of either the beach club or yacht club “deluxe rooms.” Can’t seem to find any photos of these room types anywhere! Thanks in advance!

Check out these two threads:

Beach Club Deluxe, Suites, VP and Presidential Rooms

Yacht Club Deluxe, Suites, VP and Presidential Rooms

I'm going to rework this thread...

Most of these depict rooms pre-renovation, but the pictured views should be the same.

I need some help identifying the YC Deluxe Rooms- I think 3201 and 4201 are YC Deluxe Rooms. Are there others?

Anyone have room numbers for YC 1 Bedroom Suites?

2 Bedroom Suites:

3209, 4209?

The Turret Suites: 1155, 2155, 3155, 4155

Captain's Deck: 1116

Admiral Suite- 4157- what category/bedding?

Vice Presidential Suite???

Presidential Suite: 5157

Here are the descriptions we have on the Beach Club Deluxe Rooms:

Detailed balcony information on Deluxe Concierge Rooms from guests who have stayed there and reported back:

There are six deluxe Concierge rooms at BC.

1557 has a patio and lots of windows.
2557 and 4557 have extra large balconies.
3557 has the standing room only balcony.

3691 has both a standing room balcony and a full balcony
4681 has a standing room only balcony.

So 3 of the 6 have full balconies, 1 has a patio, and 2 have standing room only balconies.

:goodvibes

This time tomorrow I'll be on the Magical Express headed to the Beach Club! :maleficen

Back from a mini-trip in a standard view room at BC. I noticed the H20+ products seem to be getting some updated packaging. Rather than all of them being that turquoise color, the sea salt body lotion and body wash have turned blue.

Thanks for this! I love the sea salt scent! And there is Aloe? Wonderful!

Well we checked in at around 3 and haven’t been able to get in with our magic bands yet. We had one guy come up earlier and let us in. He said it would work later after we got back from swimming and it still doesn’t work. We are at the front desk right now trying to get it fixed.

Doesn’t help that we have the VERY last room on the third floor. It literally is as far down as the hallway goes so every time we’ve had to go all the way up and down the whole hallway.

Did you try using your phone to unlock your door? I was able to do it at WL when I left my MB in the room

I hope they fix it quickly. We had that happen on one of our BC trips.

I had that same problem this past summer, while I stood in the hallway with my bags, unable to get into my room (though my MB was verified at the Front Desk at check-in). I finally stopped a CM in the corridor, who said she would try to get someone to let me in.

They gave me a couple of key cards to use, while they worked on the problem, as I had already wasted a couple of hours. This was a repeated problem, during that split stay (BC CL and YC). I also had some issues charging back to the room, as well as with park admittance; I finally had to use my AP card to gain park entry. On the last day of my stay, there was a CM who fixed the problem in about 10 minutes - he was great. He said he used to work with MDE issues, before he became a Front Desk CM.

So, it just takes the right person to fix the issue. I do know that Disney does not like too many MBs on an account. I hope they were able to get the problem fixed for you.

When I was at Wilderness Lodge, I twice heard a cast member tell guests that all of their Magic Band problems would be fixed if they just de-activated some of their Magic Bands. Both times, I slipped the Disney IT number to the guests. Have you tried calling 407-939-4357?

Yep tried both phones and neither worked. They were able to switch us to another standard room (no upgrade sadly) but our new room is so much better! Way closer to the elevator and not overlooking the roof. The roof is so ugly. We have a small balcony now but it’s actually kind of cute and we are overlooking where cars pull up (not sure what you call this). Our room seems much larger as well because we got a double vanity instead of just one and the room is laid out differently.

They gave us a one time card to get back into our old room for our bags. So far, our magic bands have worked just fine at our new room. We are at Epcot now waiting for illuminations to start. We haven’t seen it before!

We only have the magic bands for this trip activated. All of our old bands are all deactivated. Since they moved us to a new room I won’t call but thanks for helping anyway!

I have a bunch of old active MBs. I guess I should deactivate them? Do I call to do that or can I do it online?

I hope your MB issues get resolved!
