Diane has worked on this one all weekend! It finally paid off! I took this the day I "walked FAST" from the Boardwalk to the bus stop just ahead of an impending thunderstorm! I was SO thankful I MADE IT before the downpour started thanks to DD's and Ed's warming texts....

Hard to believe but DH is already talking about shutting the pool down for the year. Only had a high of 77 today with light rain and tropical moisture hanging around all week. Water was already pretty cool yesterday...may have been my last time out!

Restrooms?

It's been chilly here the past three days. Today was rainy and in the 50's and the other night it dropped into the 40's. I had the heat on in the car on my way to work this morning.

Brrrr...that is getting cool already. Makes you think of those near 100 degree temps at Disney World ! We'll have some more warm days but hopefully our 100 degree days are done for this year too. At least you don't have to close your pool down!

Good luck with that "major 8th grade decision"! Our little Diva decided over the Labor Day Weekend, she was going to run CROSS-COUNTRY . She did it now ...her parents do not allow the girls to quit after committing to a team sport so we'll see how miserable she is...oh...along about THURSDAY...when her alarm goes off at 5:40 AM again. Good luck on the first day of school...always an important day no matter what grade they're entering!

Good morning! My DD did that 2 yrs ago (CC season)... it was a loooong season. She did pretty well, but never again. Some genes she didn’t inherit from me. CC was one of my favorites.

First meet is this Saturday and so far she hasn't complained a lot ; she's in for the long hall since she's now part of the team so, for better or worse, she's got to stick it out. Her sister did fairly well in Jr. High actually coming in first in the District Meet in the 7th grade but had to make a choice when she entered high school. She may go back to it in her senior year but as for the rest of us....we've always been part of the crowd encouraging them from the sidelines!
