*** The Official September 2018 Thread *** let's get started to have some fun

11 days out! It really seemed to sneak up on me, last time I checked it was 30 days lol. I should probably start figuring out what I'm packing and trying to make it all fit. Can't wait to make it out to the World for the first time :D

11 for us too. I thought about packing this weekend but it's 90 here today which means we need our shorts and stuff. Hopefully I can get most stuff packed this coming weekend and then throw the rest in the night before we leave.

Well, none of our days match up except the MNSSHP and the 29th. There are a lot of Dis folks from the Solo and adult board meeting at 6pm by Haunted Mansion for the party. And I have an 8:15 Wave ADR on the 29th. LOL I could play it by ear and possibly go to Yehaw Bob on the 27th but that is my AK day so not sure. Also have an 8am KTMK tour the following morning so may make an early night of it
Our ADR at the wave is at 9:30. I think I initially had it early (around 8:15 actually), but then realized since we're doing EPCOT the night before AND we have a drive ahead of us, I didn't want to have to get up, pack the car and get over to the wave before 8:15. ;)

I've never done MNSSHP before, so I will have to look up the party at HM at 6.

If you've never seen yehaa Bob, he's a lot of fun. We're going to the early (also kid friendly) show, so it won't be a late night.

On our resort days, I have the option of meeting you whichever park you're in because I have an AP. DW has regular tickets, so may not be able to bring her, but that's probably okay...she will definitely want the down time...she doesn't like to fit in as much as I do.

(I was going to post this even before I saw the FP discussion that had broken out...)

Today I'm happy to be done with jumping online at 7 AM to try to get FPs as my window opens up! (Which was extra-fun over the weekend.)

For three of my five days (MK evening, DHS, and AK) I was able to get what I wanted, not including SDD or FOP, but I didn't expect those and have non-FP plans for them. Still happy to have gotten a 7DMT FP for our first day.

I have two FPs I need to "fix" (for Peter Pan and Mission Space), but I'll worry about that when it gets closer and hopefully more people will be moving things around. I'm really surprised at the trouble I've had with MS; maybe it's because of relatively low capacity.

That one is on me...:rolleyes1

Epcot is towards the back half of our trip, and I was surprised at T-60 the availability too and had to adjust our Future World plan of attack in the morning as a result. Maybe it also has something to do with the fact that the other tier 2 attractions are seriously tier 2. It's been 3-ish years, but unless something has changed, M:S never had that long of a stand-by, before and after they added the Green side. We just didn't have anything else we wanted to use our second tier 2 FP on after Spaceship Earth so picked up M:S by default.

One week!! I can’t believe one week from today at this time, I will be at AKL. Can’t wait to see the resort in person!

Hey Holly...are you in Kidani or Jambo house? If you're not going to Boma for dinner, make sure you go by the quick serve by the pool (Mara, I think) and get some zebra domes. I was planning on swinging by AKL on our Feb trip to get some and it just didn't happen. :sad2:

Keep an eye out for the ostrich that's trying to find a hole in the fence. He/She is hilarious.

I am in Jambo House and can’t wait to try The Mara! It looks like it has a lot of good stuff :) And my daughter is so excited about zebra domes!

Thanks for the heads up about the ostrich...that sounds exactly like the type entertainment that I will thoroughly enjoy :)

I've never been to AKL either, which is weird because DH and I love resort hopping. Our first night there we're eating dinner at Mara and I'm not going to lie...I'm pretty excited for the zebra dome. But then, I've been on a sugar cleanse so basically think I'm more excited about that. hahahaha

Neither of you are doing Boma? Because it's really not to be missed, especially if you're staying at AKL (although IMO it's worth a visit either way-- it's been a must-do for me ever since the one time I stayed at AKL).

lol yeah that sugar cleanse is going to up the cravings ante a bit! But good job on your cleanse...sugar is so hard to give up!

I couldn't agree more! I have to have a meal at Boma during every trip now! I'll be having breakfast there next Tuesday!!

I've been doing the keto diet (or lifestyle if you will) since November. I've lost 94 lbs. My goals is down 100 before Disney and then I'm not going to worry at all what I have. Zebra domes, dole whips, beaches & cream, carrot cake cookie, rice cream, karamell kuche, etc. The great thing is I can enjoy as much as I want and when I get back, I'll go back to being a "good" boy. ;)

When we were there in February, I ate what I wanted and only gained 3 lbs. I got that back off within 5 days of being back.

Besides, calories don't count at Disney. :lmao:

HA! My I lost 23 lbs - no quite single digit (as I'd hoped) clothes but right on the cusp. Going to eat whatever for this trip, too.

Are you me? I haven't been doing keto, just counting calories, but I've lost 92 pounds and have the exact same plans at Disney--eat *all* the things and none of the calories count! :)

Congrats on the weight loss! It's a big achievement! :)

My rationale: on a typical day at Disney, I’ll walk 10+ miles. That’s got to be worth something, right?

(Yeah, I know that math probably doesn’t quite work out ;))

I need to cut down on sugar after my Disney trip. Chocolate is my downfall. I was good around the start of the year, but I've gotten bad again and gained a couple of kg. I just hope that I won't have a problem with some of my shorts that wouldn't fit earlier.

I hear a lot of people raving about Boma. Makes me all the more excited to have breakfast there for the first time during our trip :cutie:

Carbs are my downfall. Give me all of the carbs!!
