Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge

I'm conflicted on which hotel to stay at. Currently have Beach Club booked, but a room at Wilderness Lodge popped up. I would save $154 if I switch to Wilderness Lodge, but our focus of the trip is Epcot and Hollywood Studios, which is walk-able from Beach Club. The last time I stayed at Beach Club I wasn't wowed, I liked Boardwalk better, and I loved the Wilderness Lodge although it was decorated for Christmas and this trip is in October. Should we switch to Wilderness to save money but have to deal with the buses for the parks? Or stay with Beach Club for a little more money and convenience? I tried asking my Fiance for his opinion, but he said whatever I wanted was good with him.

A peaceful stroll with your fiancé leaving a F&W crowded Epcot or trudging along with the masses to be packed on a bus?
I’m not sure what sounds better?

Definitely stay with BC if you're focused on EPCOT and HS, especially with Food & Wine in full swing, nothing better than just walking home after an evening circling World Showcase.

It all comes down to if that sentence outweighs your desire to be walkable to two parks.
I definitely like Wilderness more, but the convenience of the other hotel is tipping the scales. Since it's a short trip where we are only going to Epcot and Hollywood Studios it does seem silly to stay so far away from them.

I'm probably in the minority, but I would stay at the resort I liked more, even if it meant being a little inconvenienced. We had a nice stay at the BC but like you, we weren't wow'd by it and we prefer the WL. If I liked both resorts equally, I'd choose convenience over savings; however, in this case, I'd forgo convenience and stay at the WL. With as expensive as the resorts are (especially the deluxes), I'd want to spend my money on one I like. Good luck!

Super silly!!
In the overall scheme of things $154 is not a lot to fuss over. Proximity to the parks you want wins for me

I personally would choose Beach Club. For a EP/HS focused trip, Wilderness Lodge is much less convenient. But that's probably also because I prefer Beach Club as a resort over Wilderness Lodge...

If you much prefer WL, then I suggest you stay there, and spend your saved money on taxis/Minnie Vans to avoid buses. Since WL shares buses, that route tends to be annoyingly slow.

Bottom line: If your reason to switch is strictly about a strong prefence for Wilderness Lodge, then go for it and pay extra for private transportation. But if this is mostly about saving money, then stick with Beach Club.

We are big fans of WL. Take the extra $150 and spend it on Uber/Lyft to the parks if you want to avoid the buses!

BC all the way. Nothing beats watching Illuminations and then being in your room 10 minutes later!

BC gets my vote! You can walk out the side entrance of BC and be in Epcot in 5 minutes. Nothing beats that convience for me. For your trip, BC is worth the extra money in my opinion. Plus I like the pool there better should you choose to have some pool time.
