We love the BC and just stayed at the YC for the first time this summer. We absolutely fell in love with the YC and can say we like it more than the BC (the BC is still awesome though). Enjoy your stay!

Glad to hear this! We stay at BC all the time, with our last visit there being this past May. One night we walked over to the bar at YC and we really liked the vibe. it was quiet and low key so when we saw it was available at a discount we decided to go with it for our weekend adults only trip! Can't wait!

I am also directionally challenged. Can anyone explain what the long green thing is in the upper right hand corner of the picture is? At first I thought it was the boat launch, but it doesn't seem like it from other pictures.

The long green thing is the roof for the new gondola station. Boat launch [not in picture] would be to the right of that.

Ok folks, I'm almost at the point where I have to make room requests.
We're booked in a standard view room at Beach Club, and it's just DH and I.
Ideally we'd like a King bed room, but I understand there are very few of them, so outside of that, location and/or view are more important.
What would you request? Near lobby? Near elevators? Water view? Close to SAB?
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and need to figure this out! lol

We're booked in a standard view room at Beach Club, and it's just DH and I.
Ideally we'd like a King bed room, but I understand there are very few of them, so outside of that, location and/or view are more important.
What would you request? Near lobby? Near elevators? Water view? Close to SAB?
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and need to figure this out! lol

We have our BC trip coming up, and we'd also like a single king as opposed to a double queen setup as it's just the two of us. Aside from that, we're trying to not look at just a roof top out of the window and a full balcony would be nice. Tough to decide. I'm guessing the best chance to actually get what you request is to limit it to one thing.

I have searched all over and can't find this. And if I could remember from our December trip that would help but... We are checking into BC TOMORROW (!!) and I am trying to remember if they sell yogurt at the Marketplace? Such as Yoplait or something like that? If so do they have several flavors typically? Also do they sell yogurt parfaits in the cafe section of the Marketplace (that they make onsite)? Thank you! Trying to avoid stopping at the grocery store on the way in from the Airport so we have more park time!

Since the Beach Club Villas are onsite the Marketplace has individual yogurts. When we were at the BC in May it was Dannon brand and about 5oz servings. They also offer a fresh Parfait with Granola - $5.79 daily at breakfast (7AM - 11AM). They also have pints of fresh fruit and Milk as also available in 1/2 gl (whole, 1%, fat free and Organic - Soy Milk Vanilla (Silk)).

A water view request when you are booked Standard View is a wasted request. Standard view will be a roof or a parking lot. I would request near elevator

For me, a full balcony is the priority request.

Since king beds are extremely limited, you should both make this your first, if not only, request.

"King bed preferred. Full balcony (or whatever other request is important to you), if possible"

I see that the villas provide “coffee pods” in the room. Does anyone know how many? We’ll have three coffee drinkers in the room for a week. Should we bring extra pods ourself?

Are you booked on cash directly through Disney or are you on a Points rental?
On cash you get daily Mousekeeping. They usually leave 2, but you could ask for more.
On points- for a 7 night or less stay you will only receive Trash & Towel Service on day 4. They replace towels and replenish supplies - again typically 2 - on day 4 Supplies are not replenished any other day
For an8 night stay you get a full cleaning on day 4 and a trash & tidy on day 8

K cups won't work. You can ask for more coffee during your stay and they will bring you more pods. That's what we did and had no problem.

Most have a small 4 cup pot that really only makes 2 cups. Call and ask for a full size coffee maker. Bring your own coffee and filters. I normally purchase Star Bucks Via instant coffee as we do not enjoy using their coffee pots at all and don't want the hassle of cleaning it out. I just use the coffee pot to heat the water.
