Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Especially when we’re only there for a short stay and a king bed is our only request, we’ve almost always gotten one (unsuccessful maybe once out of 20+ stays?) and often we’ve even gotten an upgrade to a better view or club level in order to give us the king bed, once it was even a deluxe room.

The fewer your requests, the more likely they are met.

12 king beds?! It's been a few years since I asked but there were 30 or 35 at one point. They may just not be very popular (which increases your odds of no one else asking).

One of the CM's told me that there were 12 king beds at the Beach Club when we were there last year. I don't know if she was correct or not but that is what she said. :)

We can make an informal list of king bed rooms. We have been in three of them.

rooms with a king bed
3727 - standard view
3571 - garden view
3565 - lagoon view

If we can get a list of them then we will have a better idea of how many there are. :)
Does anyone else remember what rooms have a king bed?

While sitting on hold, I looked at the room finder on Touring Plans (I'm not sure how frequently they update it or how accurate it is) and they list the following as king beds (this does not include Club Level rooms):

Standard View (6 rooms)
2672
2667
2662
2654
3726
3727

Pool/ Lake View (6 rooms)
1565
2565
3683
3565
4683
4565

Garden View (23 rooms)
1598
1592
1571
1573
2598
2590
2592
2571
2573

3590
3573

4598
4592
4590
4575
4571
4726
4727
5631
5633

That's 35 rooms. Again, I'm not sure how entirely accurate this is, but if anyone has stayed in these rooms and can confirm that might help.

I have no idea, I’m just throwing this out there - Are king bed rooms listed on Touring Plans? If they are, it may not even be accurate. I don’t have a TP subscription, but have used it for room views. Other than that, my knowledge of TP is limited.

Lol, we must’ve posted at the same time. I just said to check Touring Plans.

Thanks for these. I'll check to see if anyone has posted any of these rooms in the BC View thread. Thanks for your input @Wood Nymph

If anyone has stayed in any of these rooms above, can you post the bedding configuration and whether it was pre or post renovation.

I figure this is a starting point and we can eliminate or confirm.
As an added bonus, "Tiki Room" was the hold music, and now 14 days until my trip can't go by fast enough!

We arrived late yesterday after some flight delays. This is our first Beach Club stay and we LOVE it! We had booked a magical deal with just a standard room. We are in a HUGE corner room that is labeled as a garden view. We have 2 queens with a full or queen pull out couch. We ordered room service late last night. We are chilling at the pool today before we go to H2o Glow tonight.

I looked at Touring Plans when I was going to be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I was looking at the DVC rooms. When you book at a particular DVC resort, you know what the bed situation will be in the studios there, the 1-bedrooms there, etc. Touring Plans was a mess. They had more wrong than right. I don't trust them.

Thanks for the list. It does seem as if a lot of the king beds are in corner rooms. And it makes sense that if the third floor corner room has a king bed then the ones above and below it would also be kings. It looks like there are only two club level king bed rooms, though, if that list is accurate.

If Touring Plans is accurate and there are 35 king rooms then in a resort with 576 rooms, according to Touring Plans ;), only 6% of the rooms have king beds. :)

Sounds like you were upgraded to a Deluxe Room! What is your room number? It sounds like our room we had a few weeks ago.

Room 1522 was a King room Garden View. We stayed there October 2015.

Interesting. On Touring Plans room finder, those rooms are the same size and shape as the Deluxe CL rooms. However they are classified as Garden View. I wonder if these rooms are actually the Deluxe Standard (non CL) room category. In any event, enjoy the extra large room! That is definitely much larger than a regular room.

Hi. We have our second trip to the beach club planned in October but this time with an 18 month old. Does anyone have a picture of the crib that you can get for a toddler - just wondering if it will be ok for son or whether we should bring our own travel cot (if we have room!!). Thanks

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1, Post 15.

:cool1:

The picture I have of the crib (next post) is several years old, not sure if these are still the ones they have.

Would love an updated picture if anyone has one!

Are pack and plays also available upon request, or is that for the villas??? Never travelled with young'uns.
