***Official Candlelight Processional Dining Package Watch - 2018***

I just switched our restaurant from Rose and Crown to Teppan Edo....unfortunately only the 5PM show is available with lunch. I decided the restaurant is more important than a later time to us. At least we won't have to hear the show while in line...

I like the center of the pavilion closer to the front. I try to avoid the tree obstruction a bit further back. (2 little trees that are pretty, however they distract me)

Yes, I don't mind the trees for the accapella group or what not, but it would be nice to avoid them for this! Thanks for the advice!

Illuminations isn't until 9:30 on CP nights. You'll be fine.

Pros and Cons for all of them.

5:00 show is not quite dark when it starts, but is before it's over, so you miss some of the "candlelight" ambiance. However, you get to see and hear the show without having listened to the previous show while waiting in line. Can't linger in the theater afterwards as they have to get it ready for next show. Plenty of time to eat dinner and find a spot for Illuminations.

6:45 show is completely dark, but you've listened to at least part of the show while waiting in line and you have to get out of the theater so they can get it ready for the last show. Plenty of time to get a quick bite and find a spot for Illuminations.

8:15 show is completely dark, but you've listened to at least part of the show while waiting in line. Once show is over, you have short time to wait for Illuminations which is nice, but you probably won't be on the rail anywhere around the lagoon. That's not a big con as Illuminations is easy to see from just about anywhere, but it is important to some people.
Hey @sharonabe wanted to get my folks a 6:45 show, but only could get them an early and a late. If and when FEA dessert party dates release and fall on this night, I presume that there's no feasible way to get from late show to dessert party, even when IllumiNations is later during the season, correct?

I click on the time and it takes me to the My Dining Party page. There's nothing to click on there! That's as far as i get, over and over!

Sorry, I don't know much about dessert parties as they would be a waste of money for my family, but with only 30 min between the end of CP and beginning of Illuminations, that doesn't give them much time. If I remember correctly and they haven't/don't move it, the location for the dessert party is on the FW side of the lagoon, so they would also have quite a hike to get to it from the theater.

Of course went on to check out CP packages and MDE isn't working when booking through the link. I had to go to dining and select a date and time and view all the reservations available to book anything. I was thinking of doing a breakfast reservation but I'm seeing $38 for Ale & Compass. WTH? $38? Isn't the package generally for a 3 course meal or buffet? The only thing on the A&C breakfast menu are entrees and there's no buffet so unless they switch to a buffet there is absolutely no value in booking that. I wouldn't think anyone would spend $38/pp when they can get two entrees for around $30.

Question for you experts--I know there has been discussion about how early to line up. The dining packages say "guaranteed seating" for the CP--not that I would arrive 10 minutes prior, but if I did, the way it's worded makes it sound that I would have A seat--maybe not a good seat, but a seat??

Yes. As long as you get in the dining package line, you will get a seat. I don’t line up that early and attended the last show NPH did last year. The dining package line extended through Morocco but was no problem getting a seat (party of 2) When we got in the theater, we were free to pick a section or row - basically wherever there was space. It’s not like they direct you by row or anything. Once seated, they will make a couple of pleas to “scoot toward the center” a few inches to try to fit more people in. Some do, some ignore it.

Thank you. Here's another logistics question. My understanding is that Holiday International storytellers are around, as well as Santa and Mrs Claus in American and the American Adventure also hosting a singing group. Isn't CP located in that same area? Do all of these go on relatively simultaneously from the same area?? Or am I missing something?

Anyone having any luck on the website? I can't wait on hold right now.
I got my reservation online. Look for a side door!

When I was going directly to the Candlelight Dining Package page on the website I could search and it would show available times.....but it did nothing when I clicked on an available time.

I got frustrated after doing that a bunch of times, so I then went to the Candlelight Processional page (for the show, not the dining) and from that page I used the link to the Candlelight Processional Dinner Packages. First time I searched from that spot I got what I wanted!

It may have just been coincidence.....but you never know. Good luck!

:thanks:A Big Thank You to the person who posted the work around to get the times to work for selecting a reservation. I was able to book what I wanted by doing the right click on the time, but instead of new tab I had to do a new window. BUT, IT WORKED!!!!

(Sometimes I wonder if the IT department at Disney does stuff like this just to play with us crazy people and to see if we can figure it out! :rotfl:

Are you positive you got a Candlelight Processional ADR? I have tried multiple ways and the earliest CP ADR is 12:00 pm. Might yours be a regular ADR? Did you reserve under Garden Grill or under the Candlelight Processional tab?
Yeah, I definitely got a Candlelight Processional ADR. I think just some dates sold out quicker then others, hope you got something you like though!

Another thank to the person who posted the work around! Finally was able to book my ADR for Chefs de France on 12/23 and the 6:45PM show.:)

We have an 8:15pm CP dining package with NPH this year too. Did you line up 30 minutes prior to show? What would you recommend?

The website is infuriating. After checking and refreshing all morning between errors and no reservations available, a GG breakfast popped up on my day 12/9 at 8:35! Of course when I clicked on it nothing happened. So I have given up. Will just keep our Biergarten lunch pig on a different day Andy enjoy a new narrator in Blair Underwood.

We got A&C breakfast (since we are staying at Boardwalk) with the 6:45 show on 11/28. My parents really wanted to see this show and could not possibly stand for the whole thing (my dad is 70 with bad knees) so this was the best option for us. The price is a bit much but this may be the only time we (or at least my parents) are there for Christmastime so we did not want to pass it up. Now if we just can find out who the narrator is!!!!

Was so excited to snag Ale & Compass (I have my heart set on the Coastal Clambake) and now I see that lobster dishes are excluded! Say it isn't so! :(

We are planning on the dessert party -- for a couple reasons -- frozen FP, the fact that we will be having an early dinner/late lunch. So I am in the same boat and only booked so that we would either hit the 5:00 or the 6:45 show. It looks like last year illuminations was at 9:30, so with the last show you would miss out on most of the dessert party. Right now the available dessert party's start at 8:00 for a 9pm illuminations -- so very possible the dessert party in Nov/Dec would start at 8:30 for a 9:30 illuminations. It is frustrating that they have yet to release any FES dessert party dates. With it not happening every night it is kind of a crap shoot with planning all our days.

I logged in at 5:55 this morning knowing I wanted a late lunch at Rose and Crown with the 6:45 show on 12/5, but since we were gifted with NPH as the narrator I was very nervous!
Anybody looking for Rose & Crown for 6:45 show, I was trying to make that one on the phone yesterday and the CM said the system was allowing selection of that showtime but the booking would not go through. Any other showtime would go through, but not that one. This error appears to be continuing today.
The Rose & Crown problem is continuing online and even though I had a 3:25 lunch with a 6:45 show the confirmation changed to the 8:15 show, and this was after 45 minutes of dead clicks. Not to be ungrateful, but I was really hoping to park hop and see HEA that night, so 8:15 was going to cause a problem. I called in and after a 1 hour and 11 minute wait talked to a wonderful CM who got us 3:45 at Rose & Crown and the 6:45 show for that date!! This will be my first Candlelight Processional and my daughter's as well, so excited we got NPH!!!

I booked NPH on the 6th, 4:40pm at Chefs de France at about quarter till 6 this morning. Have my confirmation email already! However, that was the latest time I could find for "dinner" that night and it's the 8:15pm show. I was hoping for 5:30 dinner, but oh well. I could switch restaurants to something cheaper and a better time, but I don't think I want to do that. (My second choice was Rose & Crown and they didn't have better times, although we could try something new.) How early do people line up for the CP with the package? This is our first time attending.

I also could only get the 440 p.m. dinner on November 27th...but I am happy with that...now to find out narrator for that date!!!
