Disney's BOARDWALK INN Information & Questions

Our 60 day mark to make FPs is this week and even though we’ve been going for years every year (sometimes twice a yr), I still get nervous and anxious. I’m not sure why, maybe it’s the uncertainty of getting what we want, when we want it. You’d think after all these years, I’d be calm, but nope. I’ll be a bundle of nerves until the final FP is booked. I’d love to pass the task to my DH to do, but I don’t really trust him, lol.

Omg I’m so excited; I just went Disney online and found a discount for my club stay for cottages. It’s almost the same price as standard club!!!:yay:l
When discounts came out, they didn’t have anything! Very excited!!

I got a crazy good rate for September via a bounce back offer in April and I still periodically check the special offers page—you never know!!

That’s what happened with us...the cottage was cheaper than the discounted BC CL room we were looking at, and only about $100 more a night than the BC rack rate standard room we started out with. We’ve never stayed at BW before, and the cottages are a bucket list item for me, so we’re very excited.

It just occurred to me that others who’ve booked cottages might find the map and info I got from DSS useful.

“Outer Building Garden Room with Club Level Access are located on the ground floor near the Disney's BoardWalk Inn Quiet Pool and are accessed by exiting the main portion of Disney's BoardWalk Inn and walking outside in the courtyard. This room type may offer views of either the Quiet Pool or Gardens. The club level can either be access by 2 staircases or by 1 elevator section. Based on feedback, I have been told it is the quickest to take the stairs.

The following image here will be our current resort map for Disney's Boardwalk Inn:
  • The area outlined in red is the location of the Outer Building Garden Rooms with Club Access
  • The purple arrows indicate the 2 staircases accessible to the Innkeeper's Club
  • The blue arrow will indicate the ONLY elevator with access to the Innkeeper's Club”

I'm pretty much swooning right now. Boardwalk has been my dream resort and we just got it booked via points rental for a truly INSANE price. And a boardwalk view I can't believe my good fortune! We'll be there February 4-9. Now I just need the winter weather to cooperate with me and not screw with our travel

Can't wait to read through this whole thread!

That's great. I'm also looking into renting points for a May stay!

This is great; just what I was looking for!

Goodness! I went to make our FPs this am and the site crashed. I called, 90 min wait for a human. I kept refreshing and finally after 30min it came back, but not smoothly. I had to keep refreshing as I went about making them. And I haven’t received any emails with the confirmation, but did take pics of the pages with the FPs on it. It was so stressful and aggravating. I didn’t get everything I wanted but I got most, so I’ll be happy with that. I’m glad that’s over. I’ll probably keep checking to see about getting the times, etc better. I need a drink!

The blue arrow is wrong, just to y'all know. It points to the elevator that goes down to the Boardwalk level. Not to the elevator that goes up to the 4th floor. It's close to where that is but exactly where it is pointed. It needs to be rotated somewhere between 90 and 180 degrees to be the elevator to the 4th floor. I've never bothered with the staircases so no idea if they are where it points to or not. We found the elevator easier, even when staying in the cottages since we were typically coming/going from the parks anyway.

I find it easier to see the where the rooms are by looking at the Touring Plans maps. These Disney maps are pretty but hard to read, and I know the resort well.
This one shows each of the Cottages

If you change to the 4th floor you can see the stairs. I just realized their map doesn't show the elevators. The ones to the 4th floor are sort of where the black squares are. There is nothing that shows the elevator to the Boardwalk level

You don't get email confirmations for FP

You should be able to see them in your My Disney Experience itinerary.

AngiTN you’re right. I forgot. This morning was just so stressful with the problems with the site plus my DS was slamming doors, angry, etc cause of dumb kid reasons, picking a fight with me while I was trying to make FPs. Too much stress and commotions at once. I need a nap, lol.

We are headed down next month staying at the villas garden/poll view 8/9-8/14; can’t wait! First time staying at Boardwalk; I love it from pictures and the location is wonderful.

Love this thread! I was looking at pics of the Luna Park pool and I like that it appears as though I should be able to keep an eye on both kids there. I’ll be on my own this time with the kids and am looking forward to having both parks to walk to. :)

I’ve been having fun playing with google earth’s 2D, 3D, and street view of the property

I’ll be using the touringplans room finder fax; requesting a view over village green or a view of Tower of Terror. Will see what happens. We have used them twice before; once didn’t really help us, but the second gave us exactly what we were looking for. I’ll report back in case anyone is interested.
