I'm not sure how I feel about the new CSR rooms. On the one hand I like the clean modern feel and that they have added all those plugs and charging areas but on the other hand it just doesn't have that "I'm at Disney World" feel to it. It looks like it could be a hotel room anywhere. That being said the old rooms weren't terribly "Disney" either. That being said, if the price is right and it is clean and comfortable then there are no real problems. :thumbsup2

Wonderful HEA photos! What luck getting such a great spot so close to the show.

do feel like the theming of each resort is immersive which is very Disney.

Yes, exactly, that is what I mean by "Disney". I don't need characters in my face all over the room, if I wanted that I would stay at a Value. I do enjoy the attention to theming and detail though and that is what I feel the rooms at CSR lack. Perhaps that is because it focuses largely on the convention crowd? I did enjoy my stay there in the past though and I will try it again once all the renos are done.

My youngest DD has the MacBook Air for college and loves it especially how light it is
Congrats on getting a refurbed room at CSR they looked really nice
The double sinks and glass shower door are a nice addition
I’m glad you got to meet up with Ariane and Steve :yay:
Beautiful pictures of HEA pixiedust: and I especially love the last picture with the castle in blue reflecting in the water

This is our second set of construction pins which I sent to @xlsm because she loves construction pins :rotfl:

Nice!! I loved that we got these little guys last summer. Then I was so disappointed when I didn't get anything while we were at CBR during construction this past winter! Booo!!!

For some reason once we got on the bus it took us 40 mins to get to MK :scared1: I'm not sure why or how, but it did.

Woah. Like, how is that even possible! Uggh! That would have been bad enough without a bus full of cheer folks. My worst Disney bus ride ever was on a bus that was standing-room-only and about to pull out, when suddenly an entire cheer squad piled onto the bus and took the "filling in all the available space" instruction seriously to heart. I had more than one fluffy ponytail find its way into my nose and mouth before the ride was over.

Soo pretty! How awesome is that that you managed to slip into the perfect viewing spot?! :goodvibes

and the girl in front of me was holding onto nothing scrolling through her phone as casually as if the bus were perfectly still. I don't know how she did it!

 How is this even possible!!? Some people are just one with the bus, it seems! I bet she'd be a really great surfer.

Joining in. Do you know for the Gringotts ride can you walk through the queue to see the Goblins and not do the ride the way you can with Hogwarts Castle?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can do that for just about any ride. Although if you did want to go on this ride and get motion sickness, this is a lot tamer than some of the simulators they have. I've never ridden Forbidden Journey, but I do ride this one and I've never had any issues.

And finally so I don't have to keep making these "real life update" posts in my TR, and so I can share our Sep/Dec plans with you all I've started a new PTR:

"We're Back In The Club"-A Sep/Dec 2018 PTR
Haha I started writing one this week, I just haven't posted it yet!
I like the size of the new TV's, and it was really easy to plug in the Firestick (though we had some connectivity issues with the wifi).
Oooh I really what to get a firestick before our next vacation! I keep forgetting.
But we'll be there the same time in Sep this year so hopefully we'll take a picture that you can actually see this time :rotfl:
Yay!
And the nightstand on each side. Before when the nightstand was only on one side it was a huge pain. I like to sleep on the side closest to the bathroom and I remember having no nightstand at POFQ and being super sick and having to keep my tissue box on the floor which was a pain.
Haha, I usually claim the side with the nightstand bc of my contacts, but when we stayed at pop for the first time I put the table chair by the bed :rotfl:

We’re not big coaster fans, Peter Pan is about as adventurous as we get like but we like to walk through Hogwarts to look at the theming so would like to do the same on this one

And this was the red velvet cake my dad made this year:
That's adorable and red velvet is my fave  Speaking of red velvet reminds me of the cookie dough places in the malls since they have a red velvet flavor which I haven't tried yet. But I did try the place by ours, a peanut butter flavor and it was :crazy2: Nowhere hear as good as the place in Albany. Ricky and his friends tried it also, different flavors, and thought it was terrible! So I need to meet you in Albany again for some good cookie dough :D

The rooms were really nice and new looking.
In general I'm not a fan of no carpet but I like the CSR rooms and I'm glad we've gotten the refurbed ones twice. The old rooms weren't that special so I don't mind the theming in the new ones.
My only complaint is the door to ours didn't seem to fully close all the way.
Same with ours the second time I stayed! It was fine in my room with Cathy but with Steve it wouldn't lock. No water on the floor though.

At the exit of the ride we met up with @ariane37 and her husband Steve. It was really great to see Ariane again, if you've read my other PTRs you know that we don't live too far apart, and we met up to go shopping every so often, but we've never been at Disney at the same time before. It was also great to get to introduce her to Josh, and to meet Steve.
I was so happy to finally meet Josh and for you to meet Steve, since he hears about you so often lol.

It was so dark out where we were standing that I can't make this look any lighter than it does :rotfl:
I swear it's us, the meet DID happen!!!

But we'll be there the same time in Sep this year so hopefully we'll take a picture that you can actually see this time :rotfl:
Definitely! We have to hang out at MNSSHP, maybe ride a couple rides together or even watch the parade together :goodvibes

We basically walked right into the perfect spot on Main St!
I couldn't believe it when you texted me pics of where you got, so close to the show starting! That was awesome.

I think we'll be there when you are in Sept., too, the 13-17th? Do we overlap :bitelip::bitelip:

Um...if no one else has asked, can I call dibs on the set for December (IF you stay there and IF they still give them out)!

And with about 15 mins until firework time....

Yay! That’s always awesome!

Yeah you can totally have them! I’m pretty sure it’ll still be under construction. I can give them to you while we’re there. I’m pretty sure that part is set because we only need the hotel for 2 nights, and there wasn’t a ton of availability.

Great updates! Love those fireworks pictures. I can never take enough of those myself. One day I should just WATCH the show using my eyes instead of a camera. #lifegoals

I do like the look of those rooms. I contemplated switching from CBR to CSR more than a few times for our upcoming trip, but I really think I'm looking forward to trying out CBR. I hope we get construction pins also...very cool!

So glad you and Ariane had a meetup at Disney. One of these days I'm hoping to do the same...perhaps Thanksgiving? We'll see.
