2018 Free Dining Watch Thread V3

I had a reservation for 11/27 - 12/4 already booked at All Star Music for 6 in a suite. I was up at 5:03am & tried to modify the reservation to get FD, it would not let me. I tried booking a new reservation using same dates, hotel & still nothing. Then I tried arriving one day sooner 11/26 - 12/4 & it worked! Now I'm hold with Disney to cancel original reservation & hoping they will let me modify the reservation to the dates I only need & drop that extra day without loosing FD, crossing my fingers they let me. It makes no sense why the same family suite was unavailable for 11/27-12-4, but when I add a day in front 11/26-12-4 it worked.......
 
Woke up at five booked my first package for December. Went back 15 minutes later after a cup of coffee Been getting stitch ever sense I was hoping to get two rooms.

How do you guys even get on hold? I'm trying to get the room only discount and can't get through online or on the phone. :( Been trying both since 7am.
 


I have literally been calling over and over since 7am and I just keeping getting circuits busy, or a busy signal. i can now hang up and redial with left hand and type with right hand.
ohhh.. i got through to the recording...bye!
 
By shear dumb luck, I was on right at 5 am when it was released. Sight was glitchy even then when trying to modify my current reservation. I'd click on the offer, then it would state that the offer was not available. Took me 20 minutes of logging in and out, and going through the change process over and over before it finally came up properly. Was able to get changed to the POP during December, and got the confirmation email verifying everything. Went back to bed, and then woke back up to see, hear, find all the issues going on now with the website. Sooo glad I got this done right as it came out. Otherwise I think I'd have just given up and ended up keeping our old reservation, and paying quite a bit more. Good Luck to those of you still trying today. Hopefully things will improve for you all.

Lots of hotels block availability to try to increase length of stay around holidays and busy times. Less room turnover equals less than work for them.
 
How do you guys even get on hold? I'm trying to get the room only discount and can't get through online or on the phone. :( Been trying both since 7am.
I literally dialed 175 times. My cell phone keeps track. Now I'm on hold and they're saying 90 minute wait time. Not very helpful, I know, just trying to share the facts. The website is a mess, Stitch ate everything and I can't do anything there. This is really ridiculous. 90 minute wait time, ridiculous, I'm going to have to take the morning off work and I have no idea if I'll even get anything.
 
Was able to book Pop preferred for Dec 16-23! All Pop room types were available for those dates when I booked around 4:30 central time. :flower1:
 
My travel agent was up early and got free dining for my November vacation. We had to switch from Movies to Sports. No big deal, I was in Pop initially but when I added a day because of cheaper airfare, we couldn't get Pop. I am so happy to see Disney at Christmas again!

Well... I was just told current wait time of two hours. I better make sure I find my phone charger. At least now I can type with two hands and read or something. I guess I'll keep hitting hitting refresh as well. Oh this sucks. Free dining would save me $3000.

Does anyone know if you can book two rooms with the Disney Visa offer? My daughter and her best friend are going with us, but in their own room. I can get her a Disney Visa by the trip, but can I book it now just using mine?
 
I finally got it booked, and got the confirmation email. But when I went back on the My Reservations page where it gives an overview of everything the promotion doesn’t show up (it does on my dads seperate reservation as they booked identical) BUT when I go to change reservation the FD is set as the default. Should I be worried that it isn’t showing up on the overview? It was so glitchy I hope it’s for sure there.

Staying at POR. Just trying to get RO discount applied.
Online immediately said only Royal room type was available?
How could that be?

Mine did the same thing! pop century from 9/29-10/6 wouldn't work, but 9/28-10/6 did....please let me know if they let you drop the day I'd be curious how that goes! Naturally all I'm getting now is stitch so I can't even try myself.
