Which resort would you NOT stay at again...

I’m another vote for CSR. It was way too spread out and the hike to the food court and main building was a pain. I didn’t see the value in paying the extra for it verses an all star or pop.

I haven't seen this asked before, so I was curious.
I know people have their favorite Disney Resorts to stay at, but what resort have you tried that you were not a big fan of and would not return. No real reason as to why I'm wondering... I guess I'm just curious.
For us, we've always stayed at AKL... We've been tempted to try a different resort, but we always chicken out on doing so. We all love AKL so much, that I'd hate to be disappointed by staying somewhere else and not liking it.

Does that make sense?

Makes perfect sense ... it's like your favorite place at the beach, or your favorite cruise line ....

Disney is an expensive adventure so it's scary to think about spending lots of money on the unknown and maybe not liking it.

For us, I'll stay offsite before I stay at ASMusic again for multiple reasons.

I probably won't stay at ASMovies again ... cute, trips fine but I don't like most the areas, it always seems to have tons of small kids (we are all adults now) and the price is usually enough more than ASSports, which I surprisingly like, that I would rather stay there.

I always said never again at CBR, but I'll wait and see what it's like a couple years ... I just can't wrap my head around what their plan is, I just feel bad for it right now.

PS LOVE LOVE LOVE AKL, it and WL would be my top picks.

And there are some deluxe I just have no interest in staying in them at all so ...

We've stayed at Pop, ASMovies, Port Orleans Riverside and FQ, Carribean Beach Resort, Contemporary and BLT. The only one I'd have a hard time stating at again is CBR. It was just really spread out, didn't like the set up/crowds of the main pool and really disliked the custom house so far away. We also weren't fans of the food court.

We have stayed at all the all stars, animal kingdom lodge with savanna view, Coronado springs, AOA( nemo and mermaid ) and Riverside. My least favorite was Riverside.

I'm probably in the minority, but for me it's the Contemporary. The monorail running through the building is cool and it's closest to MK, but it just didn't thrill me. Beach Club is my absolute favorite.

I kind of feel the same way. I mean, i WOULD stay in the Contemporary again, as I love to walk to MK, but it's just not my first choice. Especially for the price, I just really want to feel a little bit more Disney magic in my resort.

Saratoga for us, maybe it was an off visit but there just didn't seem like anything special and we had a few room problems.

We stayed at the Boardwalk when DH had a work conference. We didn't like it, and would not stay there if we were paying for it. I didn't like the decor in the room, it was very 'old lady' in my opinion. We didn't like that the drink filling station was inconvenient. We thought the bus service was not great. And we thought the layout was weird. We were in a first floor room, it was on the level of the boardwalk, but in the back away from the boardwalk. To get to the boardwalk, we had to take an elevator up to the lobby, walk thru the lobby, then either take stairs or an elevator down to the boardwalk. It just seemed poorly designed.

There is no place on Disney property I wouldn’t stay for the right price.

Of the resorts where I have stayed, I didn’t like the bus service at POR. Coming back at night was an adventure every time. I found the resort otherwise charming, and I loved Yeeha Bob.

I would never say never but CBR would not be my first choice for a stay. We did not like having to make multiple stops on the way to and from parks and Disney Springs. I also did not like check-in/ guest services being so detached from other parts of the resort, but that will be different once construction is done. Having said that, at Disney is great no matter where we have stayed

Pop Century. My first and last value resort experience. I'm just not a fan of motels. :sad2:

Poly for us.

Got upgraded to CL, but the noise level was insane at that price level. We could hear everything that our neighbors were saying or doing. Same with the noise from the hallway in the morning. Also, we didn't care for the dining options, and the bar was packed to the gills every night. Glad we crossed it off the bucket list, but we won't be back.

Along these lines, I wouldn’t stay at the Poly again. The main building was way too crowded with mobs of people at all hours, it felt stressful walking thru coming and going from the monorail for the parks and dinner.

Further, I don’t think the resort is properly staffed to handle the crowds -common areas of our building were dirty and siginifanct signs of deferred maintenance.

We ate at the GF three times during our trip and my husband said if we stay in property next trip, it has to be at the GF.

Polynesian.
I had such nostalgia for it and was so excited to stay there last year for the first time since the 80's...we liked it, but if I'm paying that much money for a deluxe, we think Yacht/Beach is much more worth the price due to location, upkeep, pool, decor, ambiance, all of it. :)

Ahhhhhh! This makes me nervous. Going in February for 2 park days (MK, AK) before our first ever cruise. Choice was between Poly and AKL. Chose Poly for location, transportation, and because we saw it on our first (and only) trip back in 2009 (when we stayed at Port Orleans) and swore if we ever came back we would try to stay there.

AKL just felt too far away. Since we aren't doing Epcot, Poly seemed to fit....

I just love the idea of seeing the castle from my window - kindof a dream of mine!! :)
