Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

We can’t... we have BCV from 6/23-6/30, if I extend it till the 4th, I wouldn’t need a split stay. We originally wanted to be at BCV for the 4th, but then thought it would be a beautiful view from GF or Poly, and we’d get to see two sets of fireworks right from our hotel. But our friends keep telling us how we can’t miss EPCOT’s show, but not sure we want to brave the crowds in the park or driving wise. We will most likely make the week of the 4th part of our annual trip, so it’s not the only time we’ll have the chance to see them, just having 2nd thoughts. The did say they’d pick us up and drive us back, but don’t want to put them out.

Thanks for the response!!
The Magic Kingdom special fireworks are both on the 3rd and the 4th. We watched the fireworks on the 3rd from the Grand Floridian and they were very impressive. They dropped fireworks from drones, something I didn't realize until later. It was a great view from the resort. :) Then we rushed to the taxis at GF and got back to the Beach Club surprisingly quickly. There wasn't any traffic at that time. I'm sure that wasn't the case about 20 minutes later.

The Epcot fireworks include the normal Illuminations fireworks and then about five minutes of additional fireworks. The fireworks at ground level are really impressive. You really need to be inside the park for the full effect. We were staying at the BC so it was an easy walk back to the resort. You could grab a taxi at the BC to return to the Poly. The traffic into the MK resort area shouldn't be as bad as the traffic leaving the area.

I would do it again this Fourth of July if we hadn't already had a trip booked for June 12-16th with our family. I'm already wishing we could just book a trip back there, but that would be crazy. ;)

Has anyone had a YC garden view and able to see any fireworks when on the Epcot side of the building? Wouldn't mind being able to catch something since we are back in the rooms by 7 with two little ones.

I was wondering about grocery delivery to the BC.. I know packages are subject to the busienss center hours, but what about grocery delivery and perishables? How does that work? We are arriving on Sunday and want to have some groceries there for us when we arrive.

In general, groceries are delivered to Bell Services, not the Convention Center. It is the difference between shipping a package and having an order delivered.
Bell Services has refrigerators and will refrigerate perishables. Be sure to tip when they deliver it to your room

It looks like we are officially keeping our YC room for our short July stay. I really wanted to switch to BC, but the summer AP offer at YC was incredible for our stay, we are saving an additional $85 over the general summer offer.

We had a YC garden view in 2016 that overlooked the quiet pool and we were able to see the SW fireworks from our balcony.

Does anyone know if the sofa in the BC 2-bedroom suite living room is a full or queen pullout (similar to what we would find in a villa)? Or is just a single, day bed (similar to what is in a standard deluxe room).

You can probably figure that out by looking at the maximum room occupancy.

Edit: Disney site says it's a day bed. Room sleeps up to 7 with 2 queen beds, a king bed, and daybed. The daybed has to be a single.

We are here and our room is garden view (1011). It overlooks the lagoon - Epcot side. We can see the fireworks from our porch. It is a first floor room which I wouldn’t do again because we can’t turn the lights off on the porch at night. I would love to sit in my pjs on the porch/balcony without lights at night. I would choose a room on the second floor, especially with little kids

Hope you're enjoying your stay. Only 84 hours til we check in. But whose counting?! :lmao:

Just wondering if the Easter egg display was gone by the time you checked in? I'm starting to think about dates for next year. Thanks!

Thanks so much. Yes, the actual description and the pictures and video I've seen seem to be at odds. The sofa looks bigger than the daybeds I'm familiar with, but I'll just go off the description. We have 7 in the room, so won't exceed occupancy.

Disney's site isn't always the most up to date, also. They could have changed out the sofa bed and never updated the room description, but they may want to keep the official occupancy at 7, per fire codes. The BC Deluxe Rooms only occupy 5 adults, but the sofa bed in that room is LISTED as a "queen size pull out sofa." So, technically, it COULD sleep 6, but Disney maintains that room as a Maximum of 5 adults.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised to find a double sleeper when you arrive.

Quick question: Water View at Yacht Club - are some of these rooms facing the quiet pool (which seems to be opposite side of the building from the lagoon, and stormalong)? I don't want to pay an extra $200 for 3 nights (vs. garden) if that's a possibility. I'll just book garden instead. (But I would LOVE a view of the lagoon - got an upgrade once at BC, and I would be willing to pay more for that view.) I know water view, at Disney, means both lake and pool water. TIA!

I don't think they call it Water View at YC. It's called Lagoon View. We had a view of the YC quiet pool in a Garden View room.

Thanks. I just looked it up: "Lagoon or Pool view." The -perhaps outdated- map at Touring Plans, which says no lagoon/pool view category face that quiet pool. But yet its a pool... Nice view for garden view though, for sure.

That means the main pool at YC.
