Pop Century - King Beds and Connecting Rooms

Hello!

In summer of 2017, I stayed at Pop Century. Six months before my trip, I called WDW and requested a room with a king size bed. Alas, my boyfriend and I were lucky enough to snag not only a newly renovated room but also a room with a king size bed! Unfortunately, our room was a connecting room and our neighbors were very, very loud. I am a light sleeper, so when the family would come back at 1 a.m. nearly every night of the trip, they would wake me up. My question is... Are all of the rooms with king size beds connecting rooms? I am going back to Disney this summer and have already booked my stay for Pop Century. I'd love to have a king size bed again, but I'm not sure it's worth having to lose what limited sleep I already get in Disney because of the adjoining room.

Have you considered staying at a Mod instead? You can book a King room there, so it's guaranteed. Walls are not made of flimsy paper either. Even without your connecting room you can hear your neighbors thinking in the Value rooms. With the latest increases at Pop and the deals at CBR and CSR you may find the price pretty close.

I never dispute dansdad, and I hate to do it now, but using the room layout key from post # 2 in the Pop Century Renovations thread it appear all the king rooms connect to other rooms. Pop Century Room Renovations

My parents have been assigned 3 different King rooms at Pop that did not have a connecting door. They have been in 3 different buildings so I know they are there. Well at least prior to the refurb they were.

I wouldn't say "guaranteed". We had 2 nights at POFQ and I reserved a king room. Not only did we not get a king room, they gave us a HA room. It was pretty much "well this is all we have".

Wow! That surprises me! I would love to stay at POFQ some day, but our trip budget keeps us at Pop Century. Thank you for the input!

Okay, that layout is really old. It's been around almost as long as the resort. There must be more king rooms now!
