when you Disney Fans go to Epcot Do you usually do World Showcase all one one Day and how long does it usually take you to walk from Canada all the way around World Showcase to Mexico and Where do you usually stop to take a break, do a mini movie/ride/get some lunch around world ShowCase before you let's say do The USA-Mexico? When is a usually good time for your families to take a break in World ShowCase at your favorite Country and What are not of your favorite countries to stop and take a break and eat lunch at

We generally spend 15 to 20 hours there each trip, so no, we definitely don't do it all in one day.

I don't really plan it - we just do what we want. We never really have a meal, we just get a little something in each country and share it. I don't plan where we rest, we just sit down for a bit when we want.

I am a planner by nature, but i honestly think that the reason that so many people don't "get" the world showcase is because they try to plan it. Some things just need to be experienced.

Very rarely spend any time in the showcase. Never figured out the draw and the other 3 members of my family don’t either. We will do meals there and maybe ride the frozen ride or tres cabelleros in Mexico and that is it. I have traveled to most of the countries represented and it is a giant “tourist trap” imo

I have also traveled to all the countries represented except China, though I don’t see why that matters. We spend at least one full day doing only the WS. We tend to eat at a different country each trip, though the atmosphere at Biergarten is amazing. You can’t really go wrong with any of the food at WS, so go with what you like. We like to “snack around the world” too, to try some of the great foods each country has to offer. I love exploring all of the nooks and crannies of the countries, stopping in the museums some countries offer. It’s not a place to really plan, just relax and stroll around. Do make an ADR if you wanna eat somewhere though, and maybe a FP for Frozen.

When we go to Epcot (usually 4 days out of our 10 day stay) we enter the park at Rope Drop, and tour Future World until around lunch time. At that point, we wander into the World Showcase, and slowly work our way around. Most days, we stop in each country, or most of them. We might see a movie, or live entertainment. We might browse the shops, or grab a drink, or a snack. Maybe we sit down for a while, or stop at the African Outpost to play on the drums for a bit. It is a slow leisurely thing for us, enjoying the sights, sounds, flavors.

While it is possible to walk all the way around the World Showcase in a fairly short time (it is only a bit over a mile around the lagoon), we will generally take 6 or more hours just soaking it all in. We then end our evening watching Illuminations. It is nice also to walk slowly on the way out, and wait for one of the fountain shows. The water show is amazing after dark with the water lit up with colored lights.

And also keep in mind that WS ( with a few exceptions) opens at 11. We use our WS day as our relaxing, sleep in day.

Our daughter (9) loves to do the “Duffy stamp” activity at WS, even though she does it every trip. So there is that, if you have kids. They also have a passport thing kids can do too, which she discovered and wants to do next time.

This is going to depend on your level of interest in it. For us, it's always been secondary. We've spent a little more time there recently, but it's still minimal. On a 2 week trip, I'd say we spent a total of 3 hours there, maybe 4. It just doesn't have much attraction to us. Some of the performers are neat, and we like FEA and the Grand Fiesta Tour, but that's about it.

I would say that we spend about 16 hours in the World Showcase over 2-3 days per trip. We'll usually eat a couple meals there, do 1-2 character meet & greets, we alternate one of the movies each trip, like O'Canada, we usually watch the American Adventure every other trip, the kids will play the Agent P game in a couple countries, we'll take in some of the live entertainment (we try and see the acrobats in China each trip), we'll ride The 3 Caballeros & Frozen boat rides at least once and we never miss Illuminations.

We spend about half our time in EPCOT, and the rest is split between the remaining 3 parks. It usually takes several hours to walk WS, and that varies depending on what we do whilst walking it. We ride Mexico, we get a snack in Norway, perhaps grab a to go snack for later from the Caramel Kitchen in Germany, Listen to Voices of Liberty and shop in America, shop in Japan, if I want lunch by myself I'll go to Tangierine Cafe, or Via Napoli if I'm with the whole fam, watch the movie in France, shop in United Kingdom, mosey through Canada... WS is a great mix and match and no two trips are the same.

We always spend 2 days at Epcot- similar to others, we do FW in a morning, and head to World Showcase. Usually get through a few countries and then head back a second day to hit the rest. WS is our favorite. Unlike Nebraska_Disney's approach, we've traveled extensively and I love the fact that the countries give a little taste and remind us of our experiences. We don't shop a lot (except for a trinket or two in Japan!) but love poking around the stores and exploring. Morocco is my absolute favorite, just to wander around and look at the beautiful tile work, and sit a take a little break near a fountain. It's a much more relaxing experience than running around trying to hit all the rides.

My daughter (now 12) loves the passport, and we get one each trip. The CM stamps each country and writes a little welcome note (usually in the native language). She loves having her name written in Chinese, Japanese and Arabic characters- it's a great souvenir.

We love WS and usually spend the majority of the afternoon until park closing there after we do a few attractions in FW. Are they cheesy Disneyfied mock ups of the actual countries? Sure, but there is still all sorts of cool things to do and learn about them. The short films and other shows are all pretty interesting and entertaining. One of things I find very cool is that the majority (if not all) of the CMs that work in the pavilions are all native to those countries. You can really learn a lot of things from them, like silly little unknown facts or even how to speak the language. The Kidcot locations with the Duffy stamps is cool for the kids to keep busy along with Phineas and Ferb Scavenger Hunt. Of course the food that is available is amazing, and if you choose to partake in the adult beverages Drinks Around the World can make things very interesting. Try a Tipsy Ducks in Love at the China pavilion and thank me later...Lol!! Top it all off with Illuminations, and it is well worth it. IMHO.

There are many different people who visit Disney World, and they all have varying tastes. Perhaps the greatest feature of Disney World is that it is one vacation destination with attractions and features that appeal to such a wide variety of people. Pretty much everyone can find something that they enjoy. World Showcase doesn't really do it for you, but you find enough other things to fill your 2 week trip.

For us, World Showcase is a pretty significant portion of our time. It is the relaxing part of our vacation. We don't spend much time at the resort, or take a few days for the beach, we get our relaxation in World Showcase instead.

We've decided to split Epcot into 2 half days this coming trip. We'll do FW with an early breakfast on one day and WS in the afternoon on another day. I find that if we try to do both in one day we get tired and frustrated.

We usually do two Epcot days, spending the morning in Future World and the afternoon/evening in the World Showcase on both days.

OP, why do you ask? Purely out of curiosity or are you trying to gauge how many days you'll need to plan for Epcot? If the latter, then some more info on your family would be helpful as replies can be geared in that manner.

My family (me, 35M, wife 34, and DD7) typically spend only a single park day at Epcot and half of that is in FW. We tour WS quickly... probably 2-3 hours tops. This includes the various festivals throughout the year. It's just not a park that gets a lot of attention from us. If anything, lately we've been spending most of our time hanging around various character training spots in the WS.

2-3 tops for my family as well. What are people doing that spend 16 hours in WS? Sitting and just people watching? In my opinion, WS is not very large.

Not much people watching here - maybe a few minutes here and there while enjoying a snack or an adult beverage.

We spend most of our time watching the entertainers, perusing the shops, checking out the museums, chatting with the cast members, etc. If you take the time to explore it, it's much larger than you think.

I've been in all the shops, watched the shows, etc. We also have visited and lived overseas. We mostly laugh at the prices of the items in the shops knowing what they actually cost in their respective counties.

Do you also laugh at the $7 hot dogs? I've been to the grocery store several times and they are $2 for a whole pack. It's Disney, everything is overpriced. Not everyone gets the opportunity to visit other countries, much less live in them.
